Good post? WTF!!
He must be the first person to call Leo an arrogant person. Leo should've known that "there'll be no big signing"? Who asked for big signing? Leo's first choice was a 40 mil striker and he knew it was too much so he named his 2nd choice. The 2nd choice was Fabiano and there were about less than 5 millions between what we offered and what Sevilla wanted, and that one too met with refusal from Berlu. At the start he said he was happy with the squad? May I ask you when did he actually say that? Cos as far as I know he merely stated that he wanted to make a squad that's similar with Brasil NT 1982, with fluid passing, two active FBs and the likes. IT WAS GALLIANI who, after making up dental issue with Leo's choice for a LB and gave him his 3rd option striker, once again claimed this is a squad capable of winning the scudetto. "At least Carlo has respect to superior".. "He should've asked when he signed" because "things don't work that way"? LOLL. If he had done so now THAT would have been showing some DISRESPECT and not other way. What Leo has been doing is exactly the "WAY THINGS SHOULD WORK!!" He's a rookie and still has to prove himself. The baldies talked and talked about only signing < 25 y.o (forget the exact age) players. His choices of players were rejected, yet he bite the bullet and continued to try to make the best of what he have. Didn't Piersilvio Berlusconi said that the team has exceeded expectation? Now in normal world, shouldn't it WORK THAT WAY that after proving himself he's given more freedom and support to realize his ideas? It makes sense? Give me a break!

I'm 100% with Nalx, mrki, drucurl, and Brasiliero on this.
How can anyone dare talk about Leo? It's exactly the same as how people were talking about Kaka when he was pushed out the door, exactly. The ungrateful ones thought he wanted money but obviously their eyes are too small to see and brains to small to understand the reality of whats going on behind the scenes. Wake up people. This is the team that you love and the team that you will support for years to come whether you like it or not.... Wouldn't you want at least the people incharge be real Milan fans rather than fans of cash? Screw this, to hell with this bs management. Chance after chance I've been giving them and if either Leo or Pato leaves it will be one chance too much. Thank you Berlusconi and Galliani for the past, time to leave. Pathetic. |

It's nothing wrong with ASKING, but there's something wrong with ULTIMATUMS. He can ask, but he can't make ultimatums, anyway, why he didn't say "I will not take the job if...", and not take the job and then make ultimatums, when you knew the situation before you took the job.

Like I said I tried to give my argument/points to tackle his that you deemed a good and sensible. Whether he/you refuses to read rest of my post because of the way I started the post, claiming it is of no use, well it's your call anyway.

Let's see: 1. Man City makes the offer for Kaka (100 M pounds); 2. Milan enters negotiations; 3. Negotiations failed because Kaka doesn't want City (he wants Real, i.e.); 4. Real Madrid makes the offer for Kaka (65 M pounds); 5. Milan enters negotiations; 6. Negotiations completed, Kaka to Real for 65 M pounds. There nothing to think there, no big brain, or little brain, it makes NO sense that Milan refused to sell him for 100 M and then, 6 months latter, they sold him for 65 M. They wanted to sell him, but if he said "I want to stay", he would stay. Same with Shevchenko. |

And who knows if Leonardo didn't say before signing "Ok to be the coach but get this and this and this player then" ? And in this case, what should be his reaction after our last mercato if Galliani accepted in first place ? When he was in discussion to be the cach, he knew that Kaka' was gone, he probably thought he could convince Gourcuff to come back (he had a meeting with him) and we were linked with some very interesting players ... the problem is that none of them arrived. What had to do Leo ? Resigning after the mercato and killing his career of coach before it even started ? The fact is that Leonardo took a big risk by doing his first experience in this Milan. He has managed to do better than expected. As a consequence, I think it's his right to ask for a more competitive squad the following year to improve with the club ... PS: And everybody speaks like if Leo was already gone, it was just another day with rumours ... Funny to see that the "bad rumours" are true for most of the posters, and when there is a "good rumour", you see in the few minutes following that "it can't be true", "BS", etc.

He said he accepted for Milan, but everybody knew that we would never have such a good offer like Manchester City did (even if the guys from Manchester City, if you remember, said that Milan created all this story to allow Berlusconi to shine ... it's true that it was "too good" to be real, Berlusconi saying "No, Kaka' stays" 1 hour after all newspapers announced Kaka' was leaving and signed for MC). Anyway, if Kaka' had signed for Manchester City, we would have got 100M, no player in return in this winter mercato, and a bad image like a lot of people stated at that time (Milan selling its biggest star to a smaller club, at that time, a club in the middle-low part of the table of Premier League).

Silvio is using ACM as he always did, only for his personal needs..He took whatever he could all this years(fame, power, political power!),and the only way to do that was by spending..BUT he doesnt decide by his own he has finivest, thats the whole story,he cannot take anymore from this team by this way, because its old news..He can only take some of his spendings back..he will sell the club,BUT firtsly earn everything he can from it..
20 years he's in charge and suddently last year he remebered the books(!!),WE HAVE TO BALANCE THE BOOKS!!haha what a cheap alibi..what should real do??barca?manchester? milan on the 90's??!! we're in deep sh*t,and we'll have to w8 3-4 years on this situation, then just hope an honest man will take over..

@Revolver and others, I am willing to bet there was never any ultimatum. One thing I am sure about Leo is that he is intelligent. May be you don't agree about 4-3-3 or whatever but Leo won't 'bark' at Berlu. At most he asked about reinforcement which every coach should do when he looks at our squad and depth.

A bit off-topic guys, but does anybody know what happened after the court sentenced Berlu's Fininvest to pay some hundreds millions to their rival company a couple months ago? I bet Berlu go for appeal, but any recent news about this case?
