The 3 players forward (in this game: Pato, Huntelaar, Ronaldinho) never came back to help the other players to defend. It's the first draw. (excellent idea to make draws Revolver !!) 2) On the second draw, I added the players of MU with directions for some players. What was easy to notice during the game was that there was often one on one situations and it's why we stuggled so much to defend against them (because of our 3 players forward watching their partners). The player with "?" (Pirlo) is the one having to keep his position or choose an opponent which would lead to one of the "!" players being free. 3) On the last draw, it's the way this situation could have changed when we had counters ... Generally, they start from Pirlo who had immediately 2 opponents against him (+ Scholes and Rooney coming back, contrarly to Ronaldinho, Pato and Hunt). Again, this time thanks to the 3 guys forward, if Pirlo could pass the ball to one of them quickly enough, you would end with a one on one situation, which happened actually only once with Ronaldinho against Ferdinand. We almost never had this situation as their chances gave them a corner, gave us a "GK kick" (don't know how it's called in English) or we conceded. It's why I tend to say that on this game, the whole team is in fault: - the 3 forwards never defending - Nesta and T.Silva sleeping during several minutes - our midfield for instantly losing the ball and not being able to make a single and simple pass in second half (maybe they were tired because they always had to defend, but the fact that at the end of the game, suddenly, the guys can make passes again is weird ...) It's not one player or only the coach, it's 8 players (Favalli has his limits, we can't ask him to become WC, and Bonera isn't a RB, Leo chose him because he's better in defence than Abate, as if Leo knew we wouldn't be able to keep the possession, like we did during the first 35 minutes and the last 10 minutes, for 90 minutes).

To say it simple: our players cannot run
![]() That is why we played ok untill the end of the season started. After Milan - Catania I watched the calcio show on rai uno late nigh ( cant remember the name ) and Mascara was saying how Milan looks pretty out of shape. Teams run us over, that is it. Its not 70's where you can dribble and hold the ball while walking. http://www.calciomercato.com//index.php?c=&a=176269 Mou placed him as a LB in his worlds best 11. Bale to Merda would be really horrible. Lets hope Bake stays there and they finish 4th for the CL so they dont sell yet. Maicon-Bale on fb's vs Abate-Anto ![]()

I ve been hoping the last few day's that at least 3 of our youth player's could be promoted and do well next year , but the thing is I have not seen enough of them to know who could be ready and who isn't. How good is Adiyiah does anyone know ? Verdi looks good but maybe not ready . Do we have any good young defenders ?. Because without getting mad over lack of funds we have to look at what we have keeping Pato will be vital and playing him as a CF where he is best.
Silva will only get better next year and Flamini is a quality def mid but he needs to be a bit more disciplined. If we have Borri Hunter Pato for the forward positions thats pretty strong , but we need an alternative to Dinho and maybe play a 4-4-2 instead of the 4-3-3 which isn't really working is it.If we are not going to make signings then we have to look at out of contract players , does anyone have a list or a site that list's them , I can only find the Bundesliga guy's. So some of the youth team players just have to be added to the first team and have to be given a chance , it's all good saying that we are focusing on youth but they never get a chance. We need to get a faster tempo game going which will be hard with the boy's getting older but not impossible. Hopefully Favalli , Oddo , Dida , Pippo , Janku will be gone I appreciate what they have done but time to move on. With them gone we should have Storari back Yepes maybe Paloschi , promote Strasser , Zigoni , Verdi and if there is any decent defensive talent then him too. Not what we hope for but there doesn't look any other alternative ATM , so we will have to make do with something like that and hopefully it will turn out good. Because if we have to stick with this team next year it will be hard to make it into the top 4 (probably top 3 next year) and very hard also to get out of our CL group .....heres to hoping something great and unexpected happens. |

I hope the stories of Milan being linked to Berbatov are not true, though he's better than our current crop of forwards barring Pato, his work rate is poor, we have enough pedestrian players already. and it looks like Leo will leave http://football-italia.net/apr19h.html I think I will stop supporting Milan if Leo leaves. As others have already mentioned, no top coach will be interested in coaching Milan unless they are guaranteed a large transfer kitty. The reason is obvious, top coaches need to protect their reputation, they can't afford to take a risk with a team like Milan. |

I'm pretty sure they aren't as they're based on comments by his agent. It would be stupid to get him, another player with poor movement, no speed and known for his low workrate (never mind not being a prolific goalscorer).

Ribéry could be out of the mercato as french police discovered that he had a sexual relation with a prostitute (which is illegal in France) who was less than 18 (which is even more illegal of course) ... It looks like he admitted it (he was a witness in the investigation).
He could be brought before the courts (for moment, he's just considered as a witness, it's the judge who will have to decide if he is a witness in this story or if he has to be brought before the courts), he could risk 3 years in prison + 45000€ to pay. Another player from the French NT is involved. This player would be Govou, but it has to be confirmed. PS: As they are "famous" people, they will surely find a way not to be brought before the courts or not to go to prison ...

i can't agree more with MRKI that pato should not play as a winger .. but if we play him inside we shall buy a winger .. i thought about and i need your opinion guys in ROSINA .. he is versatile .. fast .. skillfull .. cheap .. i saw a couple of videos from last season and he was surely the only player torino had .. so what do you think everybody??

I like to get as many opinions as possible. Only said Brasiliero cause i know he sees them regularly... I disagree he isn't ready, and that him and Pato can't play together. As much as i like Pato... i do think his future is as a number 9. He has great movement and finishing and remarkable strength for a 20 year old (people forget his age)... in 3 years he could be huge (physically). He did fine as a 19 year old at CF last year... Also the most dissapointing aspect of Pato's game IMO is his playmaking. He is no #10, no fantasista supper striker. Watch Cassano, young del piero or even Messi play. Then watch him. Not anywhere near that. That being said, he could easily be like Eto'o only even better finishing or Rooney even.. who has excelled as a #9. Eto'o is strong, not particularly big but has fantastic technique. Still think he's a #9

Football Italia:
'Leo could leave for family reasons' Monday 19 April, 2010 Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has revealed that Leonardo might leave the club at the summer to be closer to his family. Speculation about the Brazilian's future has been rife over the last week with Mediaset even claiming that he handed in his notice. Leonardo has also been strongly linked with the Brazil job, which should become available after the World Cup when Dunga's contract expires. Quoted in La Stampa, Galliani said: “There aren't any problems with signings, only that Leo has three children in Rio and sooner or later he'll go to Brazil. “But I think that whatever happens in the future, I will convince him to stay in Italy,” Galliani concluded. Milan lost 2-1 to Sampdoria at the weekend, practically ending their hopes of winning the Scudetto. The Rossoneri are seven points behind League leaders Roma with just four games remaining this season. -------- Sorry if this has already been posted. Looks like another invented excuse, similar to $heva wanting to learn English. Its time to wake up people. Leo is leaving because he has no money to spend and will have some real talent to train for the Brazilian national team. Milan have overperformed this year, and will finish in a UEFA CUP spot next season, with teams like Samp, Napoli, Fiorentina all advancing their projects further. Its over, it was good while it lasted. But Milan is now milan.

berbatov is linked to us as a primary target acc. to goal.com .. too lazy to paste the link it's too obvious .. but i am not totally with it .. he is girlish in terms of football and we need fighters .. the worst combination in a pitch = girlish players + above 30 players

As for counter situations you're proposing, that couldn't happen in the second half because our attackers hardly walked under half way line in defensive situations (that is wrong in your pictures), and they were kept offside all the time. And now, even from your pictures (let alone mines) it's clear why we lost the game. It's because our three attackers didn't defend in the second half. Our midfield constantly losing the balls was just because of that, because we were pressed in the second half (no space to operate) just like we pressed them in the first. I'm not in the mood now to draw pictures, I'm little sleepy, but even if we had to play Favalli and withdraw our defense for 15-20 meters, defeat still could be avoided if Leonardo altered the system so that 2 or even all 3 attackers stayed behind the ball. Attackers are not guilty for not defending because in Leonardo's original system, they should sit high and press opponent defenders, and if the ball eventually passes them, and into opponent midfielders, they should stay high and wait for the counter. It's counter-productive for them to run back, because with defense high we'd have to many players on a little space, just like Real against Barcelona. But, if you withdraw defense for 15-20 meters, and you have 3 groups of inline players, it's logical to withdraw attack for 15-20 meters too. For some reason that's unexplainable to me, Leonardo decided to keep his attack high, and unfortunately the cost us the game. Last edited by Revolver; 19-04-2010 at 17:05. |
