As for counter situations you're proposing, that couldn't happen in the second half because our attackers hardly walked under half way line in defensive situations (that is wrong in your pictures), and they were kept offside all the time.

And now, even from your pictures (let alone mines) it's clear why we lost the game. It's because our three attackers didn't defend in the second half. Our midfield constantly losing the balls was just because of that, because we were pressed in the second half (no space to operate) just like we pressed them in the first.

I'm not in the mood now to draw pictures, I'm little sleepy, but even if we had to play Favalli and withdraw our defense for 15-20 meters, defeat still could be avoided if Leonardo altered the system so that 2 or even all 3 attackers stayed behind the ball. Attackers are not guilty for not defending because in Leonardo's original system, they should sit high and press opponent defenders, and if the ball eventually passes them, and into opponent midfielders, they should stay high and wait for the counter. It's counter-productive for them to run back, because with defense high we'd have to many players on a little space, just like Real against Barcelona. But, if you withdraw defense for 15-20 meters, and you have 3 groups of inline players, it's logical to withdraw attack for 15-20 meters too. For some reason that's unexplainable to me, Leonardo decided to keep his attack high, and unfortunately the cost us the game.
Good analysis!!! if u cant run u will be run over!!! simple
90 minutes game...
45 minutes the ball is out of play or the game is stop.
45 minutes to be shared between both teams= 22.5 minutes each has the ball
11 players per team = 2.05 minutes for each player to have the ball at their feet out of the 90 minutes!!!
that means for the 87.95 minutes without the ball each player should be running...
my qustion is how much of our players can run for 87.95 minutes?
and if we our opponents can out perform us in this department only luck can prevent us from losing.

Milan linked to Javi MArtinez (box to box midfielder) from Athletic Bilbao. Interesting player.... 6ft3

Like all la liga clubs not named real madrid or barcelona, Athletic Bilbao r in need of cash

I would die to see a milan CM be able to do this:

(reminds me of a weah goal)

Dinho unhappy at being asked to take a 25% pay cut for a new contract , what does he expect we need to balance our books goddamnit. But seriously its on football-italia and says Man City have inquired again prob just paper talk I think City are more in the market fore younger players, but if he did go it take almost all our assists out of the team bad for us.Imagine if Dinho and Pato left wow we would be blunt.
I think they won't and its just paper B.S but mildly worrying don't you think.

If Berlu wants to cash out then fine, sell Dinho and Pato and then please leave and take badly with you.

Our reputation is now a joke to everyone and we have too many wasters on our books taking on such a high wage for very little performance. Dinho for all his assists and the odd goal is one of them. When he wants to play he's good, but like Seedorf that is about 1 in 20 games... if that.

We need a shake up from top to bottom, before we become a mid table nobody in the shadows of merda.

Well by your logic Dinho has had one good game this season which just isn't the case. I think alot of the reason he doesn't shine like when he was at Barca is because he isnt at Barca , He has definately lost a bit but at Barca when Dinho was on the ball the opposition had to worry about Messi Xavi Iniesta Giuly Etoo etc at Milan when Dinho gets the ball teams can double up and triple up on him because Ambro Rino Flamini even Pirlo do not scare people anymore only Pato has the speed and movement of the Barca guy's mentioned. You are only as good as those around you sometimes , its a team game and one player doesn't make a team.

Berlu can sell Pato then Dinho then Silva then Flamini then any of our youth players if they are good , but he still will not sell the club the only way the club will be sold is when he dies.Berlusoni is a an ego maniacal selfish arrogant man who listens to knowone , for Milan to compete we will need to be patient if its a focus on youth.
But selling Dinho and Pato will solve nothing because he won't sell and we'll have the same squad minus Pato and Dinho thats why I do not want either to leave.

In terms of Dinho's performance he's had about 2 very good games this year, and quite a few where he's made the difference by scoring or assisting even when playing bog standard average. There are numerous where he's be anonymous though.

He was not bought in as a team player, he was bought as an individual to replace Kaka to carry the team and provide that difference when needed. The difference is that Kaka could do what Dinho could not, and at least Kaka even when playing bad would try whereas Dinho just becomes uninterested and sulks.

You are absolutely correct in saying one player does not make a team and that in itself is where the problem lays. 5 years ago we were a team, players would work for eachother, nowadays many don't have the legs, or will to do so.

Creating a team around Dinho just will not work, he upsets the balance of the team and he's too inconsistent to build around. When he doesn't play well the players we have do not pick up the slack and thus the performance as a whole is poor.

In terms of Berlu selling, again it makes no sense to sell assets then sell the club because you wont get the same value for the club. That leaves people to the conclusion that either:

a - the books are that bad we need to sell our top player every year. Which means given we take in about 160m a year (same as Inter) we are paying out too much for the squad we have.

or

b - Berlu is just not interested and wants to get rid of the club.

We are increasingly being devastated with budget cut news now it all can't be true but damn Im fearing a bad summer , I mean who the hell are these guy's Eder Valdes(i know who they wre but you get me) what happened to Dzeko Krasic Hernanes ????I see there free and I wouldnt mind if they were good but are they I know them and they have never impressed me at all. Damn the more they want to be in profit the worse we get.

This is from football-italia.com.

Leonardo's assistant Mauro Tassotti looks increasingly likely to replace him as Milan continue their budget-cutting exercise.

Leonardo appears all set to leave Milan at the end of the season to be closer to his family who still live in Brazil.

Instead of bringing in a big name, Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani is happy to entrust the bench to Tassotti who also played under Arrigo Sacchi and worked with Carlo Ancelotti.

Il Corriere dello Sport understands that Galliani is under orders to keep Milan's spending to a minimum again this season.

The Rossoneri are being linked with Empoli striker Eder and Atalanta winger Jaime Valdes who are both out of contract this summer.

Ronaldinho is also said to be upset after being asked to take a 25 per cent pay cut once his current €8m a year deal expires.

I think he isn't interested which would be a good case to sell , and the longer he waits the less he'll get he really should sell know while we have Pato Dinho Flamini Nesta Silva Hunter Pirlo Borri and are in the CL if he even 2 years we may not even be in the Europa league and Im serious. Age mounting injuries to older players all a huge factor.
Ive gotten over expecting money to be spent that clearly isn't going to happen so Storari back Yepes and Cacau + Godin I would of been happy with but guy's like Eder and Valdes really thats just filling up squad places for the sake of it i think.

Eder is 23 and playing for Empoli 22 goals in 34 games not bad he scored 4 last week but ive seen maybe 3 times if anyone knows anything please post.
Valdes is a dead signing 29 nearly 30 and not a good player for Milan simple as that .

On first paragraph,im completely agree,it shows how much offensive power we lost in the last years, this is why we should spend heavily on the market to compete with inter and Roma...we also without our only player that have that movement and speed for half season...We cant win without Pato, this is why i always wanted Hernanes to Milan and creative offensive and match winner box to box player, along with Hernanes and one striker...with work rate,Sheva typee of striker...Even Fletchers Parks dominated our midfield, not Xavi or iniesta...more this kind of players...

Ronaldinho had a good season and i dont expect him to play great without Pato, like Jay said,we all saw many times that double ups and tripple ups this season...he is not like Barcelona days, off course his strength is not the same...he always played cuz he doesnt have an alternative...

2 WC Midfielder...
1 WB.
1 GK.
1 ST.

We need at least 5 World class players...i'd add one more WB.cuz Antonini is not enough as well...he is good as squad player...im not happy with Abbiati,
good GK but not World Class GK...Flamini+Silva+Nesta+Ronaldinho+Pirlo+Pato..
Seedorf as reserve, then the rests are not important...

Add one solid CB to them, cuz Nesta is always injured, then 1 alternative to Pato and Dinho...then we are set...

2 World class WB.
2 World Class Midfielder.
1 World Class CB.
1 World Class Striker.
1 World class GK.

7 World class players+1 Sub for Dinho and Pato...8 new players...

i think these are our main needs yet Berlusconi should be very happy cuz he has many fans who could be very happy with a mercato like this;

Tremounlinas
Hernanes
Simplicio
Adriano
Cacau.

Berlusconi announced that "Pato e incedibile" (can't be transferred, out of mercato).

I hope that doesn't mean he will leave ...

Anyway, it looks like the fact that the club asked to Ronaldinho to accept a pay-cut and the fact that Leonardo should leave could make Ronaldinho leave too.

If it is confirmed, I think we can ask a big price for him, especially as Manchester City will probably come back to take him (they were willing to pay more than us to Barcelona, but it's Ronaldinho who refused City) ?

If we were to sell Pato for 60M (+ players), it would be a bad move for the club.
If we we were to sell Ronaldinho for 35-40M, in my opinion, it would be interesting as it would allow us to have a new striker (Pato ), buy two or three good players (if our scouts can do a correct job) in addition to the free ones we're probably going to sign, and it would allow our next potential coach to use again some kind of 4-3-1-2 ...

How much would Modric cost ??
A lot I think regarding the results of Tottenham and their potential qualification in CL ??
