Real has some great rejects for sure, too bad our management's can't recognize any of them. Whereas Inter picks up Cambiasso and Sneijder, we picked up Ronaldo, Redondo and Huntelaar.

to be fair, ronaldo wasn't too bad. without him, we would have more trouble winning that CL trophy in 07. i was hoping that he would finally get the chance to defend the CL champions with us at 08, too bad he missed all the group games with "small" injuries and then ended his career with us due to a huge injury. we never got his services in CL. When we had Maldini and Kaka, everything was possible (read: winning CL with a rather crappy team), but since that defeat against Arsenal, Milan has lost that precious momentum.

Ronaldo wasn't bad on the field, but he can never stay on the field. When evaluating the success of a purchase, we can't just look at what he did when he is playing. Injury is nobody's fault, but it is a problem that we need to consider when making a purcahse. From a durability stand point of view, Ronaldo signing was god awful.

Emerson... Damn!!!
![]() ![]() The first thing this new Santos coach did was to get rid of him. One more time we purchase the player 10 years later(never rate him high ). Heard today that Benfica is talking to Grêmio to buy Mario Fernandes to replace David Luiz in the squad. David, Nesta and Thiago would be scary, but the same source is saying that for less than 25M they will not sell and that even in this crisis, they will find 30M because of competition. Said that, how is Benfica ahead of us in Mario Fernandes? Grêmio just sell Douglas Costa cheap... M. Fernandes has professional experience in Brasileirão as starter, is a CB that can play RB and has Italian passport. I not saying he will be a new David Luiz or Alex, still early, but he is showing he can play. Benfica will get 30M for David, and will replace him with a very good prospect that play professional for 2 years, for less than 10M... If we will not spend, thats the type of business we need to make. We still have a name here in Brazil(and the great Baresi was hyping our name even more this month), and I doubt this kid would not jump on a Milan offer... |

Ahhh, i knew i forgot someone. Emerson was truly the most useless of them all, but i guess we signed him partially because Ancelotti has a man crush on him the way Berlusconi has one for Ronaldinho. It seems interesting to me that we are such good friends with Real Madrid. Personally, I have always believed that a friend who screws you over every chance he gets is not a friend. And yet, even after all those lopsided deals, Galliani still thinks Florentino is his brother from another mother. You can't blame Florentino for making those deals cause if someone is willing to pay you $1 million for your crap, you have to take it. But why are we friends with them? I just can't understand the logic there.
As far as the Fernandes thing is concerned, this hasn't been the first or will it be the last time we miss out on a great prospect. I am looking forward to hearing Galliani's comment two years from now "Yeah, our defense stunk this year, but you have to understand that Nesta was injured for half a season. Who could've seen that coming? Mario Fernandes? We practically signed him in 2010, but Kaladze didn't want to leave, so we had to cancel the deal. I cant get rid of a legend like Kaladze. What would the fans think of me if i did?" PS: Read a rumor somewhere that our brilliant management is working on getting a deal done with Juve. Juve will release Trezeguet, who will then sign with us. In exchange, we forfeit the race for Dzeko. Wow, Dzeko for Trezeguet! I am impressed. Last edited by slifersd; 22-04-2010 at 00:39. |

Just read an issue of Forbes and it stated the value of World BIGGEST FOOTBall Club.
ManU is at the top at 1.8Billion which is 0.8billion more than MIlan-0.99Billion and 0.5billion more than Real. Interesting thing is that the debt/value% for Manu is like 59% while Milan is 0. But the debt coming from ManU has nothing to do with not balancing the book, rather it has to do with the owner loaning money for the purchase of the club. Point of the story is that, if there is a new owner, it will be wise to be someone who actually paid out in full instead of getting a lease from the bank. |

I going through alot of thoughts.
1)We'll sell Pato and Dinho and DIE and only sign old players.....Geo always brings me back to reality when i overreact. 2) We are AC Milan and should buy the best and beat the rest. 3)Our mgt realy is happy with 3rd in Serie A and last 16 in CL , if so tell us please. 4) We'll sign Trez and let Edin "the great " Dzeko go as a result. I'll 1000,000% be happy now if we get Godin , Yepes , Cacau , Criscito and keep Pato + dinho while saying buy buy to , Kala , Janku , Oddo , Zambro , Dida , Pippo. |

Seriously, he is a very troubled young man. And I think he will end up doing the same thing and acting the same way if he plays for Milan.

We're apparently interested in a fullback called Dennis Aogo (German national with Nigerian origins). I can't say I know much about him.
With the Huntelaar rumours in full swing today, it'd be interesting to see if we can start a bidding war in England for the guy to try and get his price as high as possible. Milannews today has an article suggesting the same sort of thing I did yesterday about our debt. If my theory can be put in practice, and we can sell Dinho and Huntelaar for decent prices, then we could have an interesting summer campaign. Another thought I had was Cacau isn't necessarily a bad option, IF we get a top striker to start as well. With Hunter leaving we could potentially use the free spot for an alternative to Pato. We'd still need a top striker to replace Borriello, who we can use as a backup. Presuming Pippo leaves that'd leave our forward line as Pato, Cacau (?), Borriello and a new striker. Not bad actually. |
