Hmmm, i wonder what Leonardo was stubborn about. Could it be that he demanded changes to the club and stuck to his beliefs? Could it be that he told it like it is and said the new policy in milan is flat out stupid and he won't work with it?

Yes it means he won't change his mind is strong on what he belives , it may mean he won't change his team , or he made a decision to leave and wouldn't change it.

To be honest, you can't really do anything if a player is not performing and earning huge wages. What you can do is to train him so hard and tough that he would actually want to cancel his own contract. Since if he, lets say Kala, can't fulfill his training schedules, Milan will then have all the rights to fire him without any compensations. Of course, if Milan do that, they might never get any over the hill players for them any more. On second thought, thats not a bad idea.

If I am Leo, I would not even take the Flamengo job or the Brazil NT job. I would take up any offer in Europe, even as a scout or an ass. coach, just to piss Berlu and Galli off. Since we all know what really happened in Milan MGT. I am sure there are loads of people who wants Leo as one of their scouts.

Its funny how Berlu is saying Leo is stubborn while he fails to notice he is old, cheap and way pass it like most of the Milan players. I can see the reason why Berlu is keeping with the old guards as they remind him of his own GLORY years.

From the Milan MGT, it will means Leo does not change his tactics.... but the truth is that Leo was too stubborn to want change while the only changes Berlu want is different young excorts(like the one Ribery had).

I`m so disappointed that Leo is leaving..I`m actually very happy with the performances this year..this hugely disappointing news. Whats even worse it confirms what we were all afraid off..a very stingy mercato------> another failed season (2011).

I just hope that since leo is leaving to Brazil, maybe he can still be in charge of some scouting and relationship managing out there. I know that this ends not so good,but still its galiani and Berlu trust him with the job in the first place that oped up an opportunity for him ti become Brazil coach.

While everyone will agree of course, on paper, if that had to really happen to 100 people taken randomly, only 5 from these 100 would accept the wage cut ... and I'm quite optimistic there.

The point is, if the players can't perform then sell them. Don't hold them. Abbiati's case really shows how kind Milan are (but bad for Milan). Just someone said, nepotism in Milan is away overweight.

Let's wait some hours, we will probably read Berlu saying all that is totally wrong.

Anyway, it's "funny" (actually, it isn't) to see how Milan isn't better than Bordeaux regarding the management and the way both clubs have lived, approximately, the same end of season:
- they both have to deal with a coach probably going to leave
- none of these clubs has managed to keep a serene ambiancy because of all the rumours about their coach
- books unbalanced (for Bordeaux, it's because of their bad results, no CL = no money to spend = salary of Gourcuff too expensive) and as a consequence, players to sell or no player bought
- more the rumours about the coach are persistent, more the results seem to be bad (Bordeaux and their 7 losses in 9 games, Milan and their 4 games without winning)
- injury crisis (not new for us, we lived the same thing last year)

So I guess we have to thank Berlu for the ****y performances lately...I`m guessing that players already knew long ago that Leo is leaving..and for Players like Dinho,Pirlo,Seedorf that means lets take a break...

I have noticed that Pirlo is actually very careful lately, he saves himself for the WC...very nice of him.

Who ever comes instead of Leo.

We have to cash in on Dinho and Hunter (40 mil) + 20 mil chash injection from mgm. So the new guy can have smth to work with. otherwise bye bye CL.

Kaladze never deserved that wage,he just had one half season as super.Along with Nesta,he did well.then injured at the start of the season,in summer cup,then he never came back to his self.he is worse year by year.then became this joke Kaladze...

we even cant fight for the scudetto until the end,we always give up so early since 2006.4year passed.The same problem still occur...

if you wanna win scudetto,you need to have 14-15world class players and a complete squad.Milan doesnt.Scudetto is a dream while inter is getting better year by year.

if they go on like this on mercato,they will be better.

they need investment on defence,maybe a LB,a solid CB an alternative to Lucio and Samuel,then Motta is the weakest link of the squad,inconsistent and injury prone.
inter can upgrade there,with a better player.then they can sign a trequartista,an valid alternatives to Eto'o and Milito.considering Balotelli may leave.

if Berlusconi doesnt think about investment,should let Pato and Silva go.he doesnt have the right to waste them in this funny roster,they can sign champions like Trez,Mancini with that money.Yepes already signed.world class defender.a champion...

I think I finally figure out what Berlu is trying to do.
HE is using those young girls parties to lure players like Ribery, Benzema, Terry, A. Cole and others to Milan for free. Problem is that, by the time they come to Milan, they will be like 35 or so.

This is a very stupid move from Silvio. I think that the rumours about the 5 (?) requests that Leo made were actually true, and Silvio didn't like it. Clearly show a lack of ambition from Berlusconi and I'm afraid we're gonna have to dwell in mediocricy for a long time now.

Leonardo was exactly what we needed. He was a great organiser, and was a good motivator, and apparently had a long term plan (Which Silvio didn't liek). We didn't need a big tactician, because

1: We have Tassoti who's very experienced working under Ancelotti and playing under Sacchi and Capello the two best tacticians in the last 20 years.

2: We simply don't have the variaty in terms of players to have the coach make much of an impact tactically. We have to few quality players, and in the positions where we do have depth the players are to similar (Borriello/Huntelaar, Flamini/Gattuso), so we're pretty muched locked in one formation and one way to play.

Very sad week to be a Milanista, very sad.

Berlu is not cheap on Players like PAto and Kaka..don`t worry....he knows that he can use them and than still cash in.



Seeing things in perspective..I think its very wise to support Inter now..and not loose that CL spot a???

That was years ago. Cissohko and Hernanez were examples of Berlu does not want to spend money.

Damn, why couldn't that old sock wait until the end of the season? Last year the board and Carletto had already agreed to part a couple of weeks earlier yet it was announced after the season ended.

Paolo said not so long ago he will be "upset" if Leonardo leaves. And now that it's confirmed I take he won't receive the offer to become the director of sport or any other position in management.

Thank you for these wonderful 13 years Leo. You helped the team win the 1999 scudetto, brought several best signings I've ever seen for Milan, and despite short-lived, you showed us glimpses of Milan that we all "stubbornly" love.
