I must say I admire Alex Ferguson and this article underlines some of his strengths as a manager. The drive to go forward, the enthusiasm, the ability to never be satisfied.

http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/englan...son-looking-to

"What I have to make decisions on now is how we can improve the team."

"Because when you challenge for four titles in a row, two European Cups, League Cup finals and FA Cup finals, there is a draining effect."

"You have to be aware of that and spot the moment when it’s time to freshen, time to change one or two players."

"It’s not a desire to do it; it’s a need to do it, simply because the demands and pressure on players over a long period can be demanding."

Seeing what Alex Ferguson said, I can draw a lot of parallel between him and Leonardo. And then it makes me incredibly sad that our own Alex Ferguson won't be with us any longer because our owner thinks Zigoni is the second coming of Christian Vieri.

What is the relation of Zigoni (who plays for Primavera not for the first team) with Leo parallel to Fergie?

i take a look at inter's mercato, our mighty rivals and are about to win a treble...

Us,Second round of CL,7-2,giving up easily on scudetto, fighting for 3 place almost every year.

i thought that i mixed the team when i see the names that they want to sign...

Ranoacchia,Fernandes,Bonucci,David Luiz(no Astori or Yepes)

Fabregas,Gerrard,Hamsik for Central midfield,to replace the weakest link in Motta...

They have Zanetti and Santon for LB,they still want to sign Kolarov or Vargas.

Coutinho already signed.Very talented kid to be a vice Sneijder...

They want to sign a striker and a winger who can play in Eto'o and Pandev's place in 4-2-3-1...

Fernando Torres,Silva,Di Maria e.t.c.

Looking to our club,Even players like Dzeko and Krasic are dream for us.yepes,Astori,
Mancini,Stotari e.t.c.

we all know why we are here and why inter are about to win a treble...

More transfer rumours. Brede Hangeland from Fulham if no-go for Nemanja Vidic. Probably little or no truth to it, but would be better than Yepes or Astori.

Better than Yepes and Astori? Who is that defender? Fulham? Euroliga?

I choose Yepes.

He is the captain of both Fulham and the norwegian national team. He is regarded as one of the best central defenders in the Premier League and is targeted by Arsenal.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brede_Hangeland

Fulham is 11th in the Premier League, Chievo and Cagliari are 12th and 14th in Serie A. And also I didn't see Yepes or Astori in the Euro League, and definitely not in the final.

I still choose free Yepes. Norwegia, Fulham, Euroleague (I am with Milan, never really rate this competition ) don't take my attention.

Again linked with David Luiz ...
They say his price should be between 8 and 10M and that the good relationship between Milan and Rui Costa could be "used".

If only ...

I disagree. I still think that selling Kaka was a mistake for us in terms building for our team (though I understand why we sold him to some degree), and Pato has proven to be arguably our most important player. Therefore, I'd rather lose the 50m and keep him. Plus I also think if we were to get 50m from elsewhere (I doubt it's likely tbh), then we'd have more than enough to build a very competitive squad for next season (we don't need big buys, just smart ones).

It seems impossible. What price Benfica paid for Luiz actually?

I'm curious to see how some Brazilian teams(the hard sellers) will do to balance their books. In the near past a team like Santos, Inter and S. Paulo negotiated peripherals players, to keep the W. Class in home for at least 2 or 3 seasons. Now, with the crisis in Europe, the values of the sell of a middle players can't help in the financial balance.

Today, if nothing out of this world happens, I can't see Santos selling one of Neymar or Ganso for less than 30M... For the record, Santos President said yesterday on TV they will stay for Brasileirão.

What is record fee for player straight from Brazil? Was it Robinho for 22 or something?

I mean to be fair, no matter how great they look, the style of football in brazil is different from europe. And I can't see any european club paying more than 15mil (and thats high) without either proving something in brasiliero.

Players that can play CB and fullback ( like Thiago will!!!! ) are something that sould not be missed lightly. DAvid Luiz has my voice 100%, will be what we call WC player.

As I recall, tottenham offered 16 million pounds got rejected. Chelsea was in range of 20 mil.

And yesterday man city supposedly offered 75 mil (god i hate them) for Luiz and Angel Di Maria. It's only way they can get players of that caliber. Such BS

But Chievo does?

I think Yepes is an old "nobody", so I disagree of course.

Torres, Gerrard, Agger, Agüero, Villa, Silva, Di Maria, Cardozo, Dzeko, Buffon, Chiellini, Van Nistelrooy, Rossi. Yeah you're right, the Euro League is not worth the attention. Let's bring in Astori and keep Kaladze and Pippo.

Let's agree to disagree. Anyway it's probably just another silly season rumour, so I really don't care. We'll see soon enough what happens and what doesn't.
