Its pointless speculating and analyzing good transfers if we can't communicate it to the people in charge of doing the transfers.

Getting rid of some players that are deadweight is more exciting to me....

A solid young FB like Aogo or Otamendi (they have been the names linked) would be very helpful as well, considering that Janko, Oddo should be leaving.

Dinho again has created doubt over his future by admitting he has no idea what the club plans. I'd be happy to sell him, but would want a player like Krasic to replace him.

For me, Krasic, Mario Fernandes and Jucilei and some good squad players would be just enough to make us highly competitive next season. I still think we'd need a new striker to replace Borriello, but it's highly optimistic that we'll get anyone.

When you think about it, Brazil pretty much produced a top five players in each position over the last ten years, not to mention always having one to two top five players in the world.

As he didn't play one single game this season because of his injury, he asked the club to renew his contract until 2013 (instead of 2012). During that extra-year, he will not be paid.

It looks like it was his idea and the club accepted.

At this point drenthe is strongest and depending on new coaches tactic's he can be VERY useful in midfield (I Think he's like vargas in thesense... **** at FB, BUT in midfield he can work well for team). He also follows milan's favorite policy... score v. milan, get signed

Seems aquilani's fee is dropped to 11mil. I' still be hesitant on signing him because of injury worries. Sad as it seems, a dream would be aquilani and benzema on loans with options to buy.

Wednesday(21:40 of Brazil) second-leg of the semis of Copa do Brazil(Santos X Grêmio). First game was 4 x 3 for Gêrmio and now Santos just need a 1 X 0 to go through. But since this Santos team doesn't know how to play for just one goal(they always go for 10), you can expected a thriller. Shame Arouca is out(3rd yellow card) and possible Mario Fernandes too, with a shoulder injure. At the same time will be playing, but this time for Libertadores, São Paulo X Cruzeiro. First game S. Paulo won way(2 X 0) so, you can expect a very conservative team even with São Paulo playing in their own home.

There's no doubt I will be watching Santos X Grêmio. Even more after the outcome of the first leg... Even the "bad" game of Santos are fun to watch.

Yep, as you said, there's little interest surrounding them, and to be honest, today Jucilei is more valued by Europeans than Brazilians. The press(and majority of the fans) here only get caught if a player is scoring. Even the more defensive players. When I started to hype Jucilei in MM last year, I did the same to my friends here, but no one agree with me. For them, the good one was Elias, that was scoring a lot. Despite the fact I think Elias is a very good box-to-box mid, Jucilei will be 3 times better and turn into a star the day he start to play in Europe, because he will be asked to defend and attack all game long.

Yesterday against Grêmio he was clearly "hold" by his coach, almost didn't go forward. But every time he take a risk, good things happened, like in the second goal of Corinthians that he set up with a run and a through ball. Plus, as DUCO said here, he's becoming more and more physical and powerful, without to be violent and get booked.

It worries me even Fiorentina(Napoli and Lazio) are sending people here to watch him and Mario Fernandes as Falcão(The King of Rome) said yesterday. I hope we don't miss on these guys... At least, not for middle clubs

Galliani, who announced that Pato would stay next year for sure (what Pato confirmed several times), announced today that Ronaldinho would also stay ...

Storari said today he would meet Galliani to know what to do in the future. His main will is to play, so that means he wants the #1 spot of GK where he'll be. I wouldn't mind giving him, especially after this year (excellent in Milan before his injury, and then amazing performances in Sampdoria, without him, Samp wouldn't be 4th).

Brasileiro, 1st thanks for the gr8 informative posts... everybody knows there is talent in Brazil year in year out and they could be bought for "reasonable" prices...like Leo used to do...I'm sure we will miss him.
Anyway, do you know how much these players would be priced? I'm guessing anything over 10Mio/player would be out of our reach unfortunately

So after making it into CL, Samp will be losing their No.1 Keeper and their coach even before the transfer season even begin. Great way to start CL. If they don't reinforce, that would only make Serie A into a second tier league.
I know some of you are hoping a fire sale at Viola and Palermo, but I really wish that does not happen. As I hope they keep their teams together and build on them as thats the right way for a club to be more competitive and challenge for titles. I mean as much as Valencia struggles and loses money, they actually managed to keep Silva, Villa and others for two more seasons and maybe more.

I am not hoping. Any good players they have are at most 10% likely to come to us. If anything they will be sold to Juve or Inter which is of course worse.

You know what, can't deny I was hoping for a Ronaldinho departure. The guy was one of the best I ever saw in my life(and I watched Maradona era in Napoli), but today he unbalance any team. Today he's a situational player, not mobility enough for a second striker, nor work rate enough for a winger like he likes to play. Brazil NT become a real team after get free of Ronaldinho(even with less talented players), and I was hopping the same of Milan. Also, thats appears to be a signal we will not go after a #10

The players that I want from Brazil(personal opinion), until today, will not cost that much because they are out of WC hype and are from "non sexy" position(no pun, no nothing), and from Clubs don't ask for much. Keep in mind it's all guessing:
- Jucilei(8 Millions Euros):Could have be less a few months ago. But now, with teams like Fiorentina joining the race, the price raised.

- Arouca(3 millions Euros): Until August-31, this is the price São Paulo tag for Santos buy the the player. I don't know if it is a clause only for Santos, but the team(Santos) is without money, and are trying desperate to raise the 3 million for the buy. São Paulo normally ask for much more, but Arouca would not want to come back there. I think with 5 million to São Paulo we could make a deal. Problem? Without Leonardo, I really don't know who will be the guy to talk with São Paulo Board. Let's not forget Berlusconi is hated in S. Paulo MGT for the banana's comment.

-Mario Fernandes(5 to 8 millions Euros): This goes to depend of his Italian passport. They sell Douglas Costa for less than 10m and he was much more hyped. So I tend to believe Mario can be bought for less.

I would love to go for a Giuliano, David Luiz, Ganso or Neymar, but they are out of our reality. With a little less than 20 millions, you've got 3 players that will be on Brazil NT in the near future. I know thats not a sure thing, after all, Kleberson is going to WC But what I mean is that they are REAL Brazil NT material, but also will have no problem to play the European game. High character(workers), strong, skilled, modern and versatile. Three player that can play 3 or 4 position each one. I have no doubt about these guys...

Reading your post I start to think about one thing. Why is so hard(money wise) for big clubs in Italy to buy young talents of small and middle clubs internally? Or it just happens with Milan?

Every prospect(proven or not) price in Italy is severally overrated. Even in Spain where Real and Barça pay outrageous money, they still can get reasonable prices for good young players(prospects). Keep in mind I'm not talking bout Vila's, Silva's, Daniel Alves type of purchases.

Just the young player with a good potential...
