i know i'm a bit late, but i'm bored with this Brazil match so i thought i would share a couple of thoughts on Italy's match last night:
- Criscito was the worst Italy player and i can't see why anyone would be asking to sign him ahead of Antonini...i was expecting Maggio to come in and Zambrotta to go to the left all night long...hopefully next match
- Montolivo did improve hugely after the break and i'm not sure but it might be because Marchisio went out and he had a bit more freedom to go forward
- Simone Pepe might not be CR9 but i was impressed with his work rate and desire and willigness to run at defenders which is something Italy is desperately lacking
- Cannavaro was not as bad as people are saying...i think Chiellini was the guy who disappointed
- Overall, i was actually expecting a worse performance from Italy...

Edit: HAHAHA N.Korea scored!!!!

Getting back to Milan Summer 2010 Mercato....

I think we can get a better idea after the WC what the prices of certain players will be, and how they can fit in the system. What is the system that we will use? will we continue with this sort of 4-3-3.. is that the only system that can be played if you have Ronaldinho in the lineup?

I think Ronaldinho is great but he's similar to Messi in that they cannot adapt to systems other than Barcelona's. For instance, they are not ideal in a 4-4-2 or a 4-3-1-2...correct?

if that's the case they I think Milan should apply a 4-2-3-1 system and this is my preferred lineup

------------------------Edin Dzeko------------------------------------
--------Ronaldinho-----Diego--------Pato--------------------------
------------------Pirlo-----Flamini/Ambrosini------------------
----Michel Bastos---T. Silva....Nesta...Antonini/Zambrotta
---------------------Federico Marchetti---------------------------------

I'd also sell Dida, Oddo, Kaladze, Gattuso, Seedorf
Promote some younger players.....

Subs: Rannochia/Bonucci, Ambrosini, Borriello, Inzaghi (1 more year), Huntelaar, Abbiati, Zambrotta,

* I'd love RObinho too but no sense to have him if you're going to keep ROnaldinho...
* Diego might be available from Juventus... if not Diego, another playmaker in the middle of the park.. In my opinion, Pirlo is almost finished....in that case, 2 defensive midfielders..and then an attacking midfielder... perhaps bring Kaka back??
* maybe Hamsik??

Parma Showing Strong Interest In Milan Defender Kakhaber Kaladze

Let them have the high wage champion..... Much rather see Albertazzi take his place, and same with DeVito taking Oddo's spot... But selling him will be harder

Same old story: Parma likes Kaladze; Kaladze likes it here (earning high wages while doing absolutely nothing, who wouldnt like that job?); Galliani declares that we do not let go of our champions; Kaladze stays here another year.

Nothing to get excited about here.

Paloschi

From wat I've heard, galliani has made it clear that the Parma deal with Paloschi will not happen again.... Either he will be sold outright or bought back.

Although Paloschi hasn't exactly set the world on fire this season (injuries...) me thinks we will be scared off by wat Parma wants for us to get him back and let them have him. On the other hand, Galliani's incessant rant about youth (and someone said he prefers the Primavera over Serie A or CHampions league next season!) suggests we will try everything to get him back....

I've heard Parma want him on loan with us paying a significant part of his wage. So might not be the deal we want.

We have no real budget for moment and we would spend that much money on a young talent going to play with the Primavera for at least 2 years before eventually make it to the first team ?!

We don't know anything about him, he probably only played with the youth teams (someone can confirm that ?), the hype about this player seems to come from his president who said he was the new Baggio. It's like saying that Zigoni is the new Toni, Verdi the new Cassano, etc. At this age, that doesn't mean anything.

So I'm all against this deal as you probably understood it !!

A report on TMW is about Lazio giving up with Oddo because he asks too much money, but some Spanish clubs would be interested.
I'm interested in this rumour. At 15 he's hard to judge, but none of us know anything about him, so I will wait to find out more about him before I make my judgement. Pato at 17 was 22m and at 16 Lukaku is 10-15m. 5m may sound high, but if he's really good then it may not be over the top.

Must admit I was impressed and somewhat more convinced of Robinho after watching him play. It's difficult to compare him to Ganso (two different positions).

Quite suprised that rumours of Russian clubs interested in kala have now dissapeared. The deal you mentioned above does not sound good at all. Hoping we could've fetched atleast 4 million for his services.

I think it's more a way to put pressure on Cellino ... and it seems Cellino postponed again his comeback in Europe and decided not to answer anymore to the calls of Galliani. If he wanted to destroy a good relationship, he found the good way to do it quickly.

I think we will know more this W-E.

About Leo, it would be a second chance, but in what conditions ?! Would he be motivated ? Would the players still follow him ? How would Berlu react ?

By calling back Leo, there would be too many questions about our future ... so I hope we won't need to call him back as our coach.

The signing for Milan will be the whole North Korea team. Just imagine having T.Silva, Pato, Flamini and Dinho in that North Korea team. Treple winning here we go.
