How sad our club has gotten that we start talking about how we should buy Kuyt...
Don't get me wrong hes a solid player and a hard worker and I respect him. But he does not fit into this system we have. He also is a starter in a team who performed terribly last year. All of our talk here depends on whether or not we keep Ronaldinho...if we do.. this is the most likely lineup for next year: ----------------------Amelia------------------------- Zambrotta-------Nesta----T. Silva--------Antonini -------Flamini-----Pirlo-------Ambrosini------------ --------Pato----------------------Ronaldinho-------- ------------------Luis Fabiano----------------------- this is what our lineup should be: -------------------------Amelia-------------------------- Van der Wiel--------Nesta----T. Silva--------Coentrao--- -------------------Flamini-----Pirlo------------------------ --------Pato------------Diego----------Ronaldinho------ ------------------------Dzeko---------------------------- Subs: Borriello, Huntelaar, Lazzari, Adiyah, Inzaghi, Gattuso, Ambrosini, Abate, Zambrotta, Antonini, Bonera, Onyewu, Yepes, Abbiati, Roma Sell: Kaladze, Jankulovski, Seedorf, Oddo.... It's very attacking but speed, flair, and strength..along with 2 holding midfielders and a solid set of CB's.. i'd love for this..but we all know it can't happen... but in my opinion this is the type of team will be needed for scudetto win or Champions League Semi, final, or Win.... Barcelona, Real Madrid, Man U, Chelsea, Bayern and Inter are extremely strong now. Juventus is making their necesary adjustments and the bottom line is if we don't present a lineup like this, or similar to this, we will not be competing for anything.. that is the bottom line.... Don't know why some of you are hard on Kyut, as I would take him over Seedorf, Pirlo, Dinho and the other walking sticks in Milan any day.
He might not be as talented as the other three, but he got more heart than all of them combine and actually tracks back all the time. NOt only am I sick of the way Berlu is running the club, I also sick of how some of the players act in a Milan jersey. NO heart, no desire, no will to compete....It seems like they don't even care any more unless it is a WORLD WIDE televise match where SPONSORS ARE WATCHING.... I could careless if Milan is struggling and not winning as long as I can see that the players are showing all they can to try to win, but sadly for a lot of the players in Milan, thats not the case anymore. TO make matters worse, a lot of you are letting them get away with it by labeling them BIG GAMES PLAYERS. You know what, beside friendly and Coppa, all games are big games, as a win over INter is 3 pts while a win over Caliagari is also 3 pts. |

Now you move Pato to striker and Kuyt to Pato's position. Then you can find new guy in the middle to replace Diego that is of that calibre and I too will be happy. But the overall point was that 3-4 changes need to be made, and that in un-debatable. |

I think having Diego here could not be that bad but even better would be Giovinco. We should use our good links with Juve and include a couple of swap deals (hunter, borrielo, jankulovski).

I'm surprised at the little mention of Cacares as we're heavily linked to him. He's a decent player that could be excellent. At Juve last season he was really useful before he got injured. Unfortunately for him at Barca they have Daniel Alves at RB.

The left back of Portugal, that guy Coentrao is the best left back of the mundial.
That guy has it all! The team that gonna sign him will be very lucky. |

At first, I tried to make a new squad as modest as possible but just replace a player with a better one at the same position.
I thought Milan is stronger after that. Well, of course it looks stronger, and even a mid table team looks stronger that way. So, instead of replacing the better player of the same type, I change the aproach. My goal is a team with more fluididty. Loan Caceres with buyout clause, buy Otamendi, Fabiano, loan Helb or winger if needed for the formation are still things to do. This is the fundamental. About 3 years recently, teams with more fluidity usually win against rigid team and always success at achieving what they need in the end. MU won in 2008 with a winger/striker Ronaldo and 2 defensive forward Rooney & Tevez. Barca won all main trophies thanks to 2 inverse winger Messi & Henry (sometimes Iniesta), but they also have Yara Toure/Raphael Marquez who can shift between DM and CB when Dani Alves overlap (wingback is normal example of fluidity through the flank). Of course, their squad if very very strong, but strong squad only can't win you trophy. Inter, as we know, lost too much points in Febuary and March, they let us and Roma, the team also lost too much point at the beginning of season to close the gap. However, after using 2 defensive forwards, they retain and protect their first position of Serie A, win the Italian Cup and defeat Barca (the team they lost to some months ago), then crown the European king throne. Bayern with both inverse winger: Robben & Ribery may cause more threat, but Maicon is enough for Ribery. The French can't play on the right and the Dutch is glued on there so there was no fluidity in Bayern. These are just examples, fluidity is creative so there is no concrete definition. However, it becomes more and more important nowadays. Well, too much fluidity will cause problems of confusing, but that another story. That is not a problem with a rigid Milan now. Milan last season was too rigid. That was not only Leo's fault because he didn't have the players who could play like he wanted. Dinho is a forever LW, Pato caused a penalty when defending then injured himself, Hunter is a pure poacher, Flamini was a headache. Other problems we all knew, but a team with the same formation & same line-up every match can't win big trophy. That's why I think of Kuyt - a defensive forward (after Fabiano and the loans, free players). We don't need him - a 29 years old at all cost, but we need player of his type. @Elmago99: your best formation is still a rigid one depending on players' flair. It is very strong, no question about that. It reminds me of Brazil now. IMO, current Brazil is still rigid. They may win this WC because national teams often lack the required players (they can't buy), but I think the chance a big team with strict tactical discipline & fluidity defeat them is higher. I'll test my theory in the World Cup and leave the job for Allegri & Galliani. ![]() |

Milan being heavily linked with an 8m euro swoop for Caceres. Does he have an EU passport? I know he was at Juve last year but he was only on loan from Barca, if we take him will he take a Non-EU spot? If yes, then Milan's management have been extremely poor with their decisions on the Non-EU spot.
Caceres is solid, good, and young. However for 8m, maybe with the little extra cash from Storari, we can surely get Marco Motta (and probably for 12.5 we can even get a really get RB in Van der Wiel). Probably even better with Coentrao at left back. Galliani has recently asked the fans to be calm whilst they build a solid team. Allegri said the fans shouldnt worry as Milans squad is good as it is right now. So far -- nothing is showing that this summer will be any different from the past few years. |

We really are planning on Caceres but only if he comes at a considerable discount...same old sh1t...and Onyewu is on his way out to Chievo on a season long loan deal.
Juve are linked to 9 million players again today , it pi$$ed mo off a few weeks ago but they are not actually doing any moving....and Di Maria going to Madrid kinda proves you dont have to wait until after the WC. |

![]() The biggest rumour of the day is about a potential contract offer to Joe Cole ... You can read that we did this offer here and there on Internet and his agent said that he could go in Italy (without saying which club(s)). Joe Cole is very talented, but he is also injury prone, so I hope we won't offer a too big contract if we manage to convince him.

If Milan Lab becomes again one of the most competent medical centers in football, ok, but if it's to have him injured after 3 games and out for 6 months, I think it would be a waste of money, wouldn't it ? It seems Chelsea could get Van der Vaart for 12M ... I wonder why we don't try to get him too. 12M for a player who could be an improvement for our midfield (CM and AM), who has experience, and who will be eager to prove what he is worth after his failure in Madrid: it's the kind of miracle that happens once a year with Real Madrid only. PS: About Di Maria, these rumours about him leaving to Real Madrid are old, so they probably started the negotiations before the WC. Same goes for Pepe in Juventus for example. The problem is when you want a player who currently plays in South Africa and you didn't start the negotiations before the beginning of the competition. In this case, if the player is a real professionnal, you'll have to wait the end of the WC for the guy.

Juventus spent 43,5M € on 4 players: Storari, Bonucci, Simone Pepe & Jorge Martinez.
A GK, a RB/CB, a LW/RW and a forward. These are all the position they need a replacement or a subtitute. However, 40M is too much, is there any mistakes? http://www.football-italia.net/blogs/jh106.html |
