Summer Mercato 2010

Letting Storari go to Juventus and not trying to get Bonucci will be two mistakes we shouldn't have done (for Bonucci, the other Italian clubs also did a mistake). Both would have been useful here. Anyway, they're Juventus players now.

I'd take Ranocchia from Bari if we want another CD (if the loan of Onyewu reported here happens, we'll need another CD) ... he was simply as good as Bonucci, but he got this injury ending his season.
This guy would be the right option, in my opinion, to be our #3 CD after T.Silva and Nesta, and he could progressively, without pressure, improve to slowly take the place of Nesta in the team. So this guy is young, and he could come cheaply ... I wonder why he isn't already in Milan (like VdV) ?

Because they will cost money i'd imagine....our MGT want loan free and cheap players nothing wrong with that if the players are good , but i dont think they are looking at buying players for 10 -15 million honstly.

But Ranocchia is young (22), he's a good promising player, he plays in a position we need and he is cheap, I think (Juv paid 15M for Bonucci, we can probably have Ranocchia for something like 8M, nope ? Or do you think he would be more expensive ?), because of his injury.

I agree he would be a great addition and about 8- 10 would be his value Id imagine , V.D.Vaart about 12-15.And these two would be good for Milan , I just think that our MGT are not even looking at them because they will cost money , they seem to want to buy 1 player for around 11 or 12 mil and get a couple of free or loan players....Again this is okay if they are good and work out but it is short sighted that they wouldnt do it , I mean 20 million would probably get V.D.Vaart and Ranocchia loan Caceres and maybe Hleb sell Hunter (its what they want) and get Fabiano thats 7 new players in total.

You know what, I was going to write almost the same thing by editing my last post (but didn't do it finally, and not entirely the same thing, I didn't go into details, just "PS: With only 20M, we could do a good mercato this summer").
Add Joe Cole to this list (rumours are about a 3 year contract offer of 3.5M/year) and it could even be a very good mercato actually, for "almost nothing".

What I read on TMW few minutes ago made me laugh (but it would be funnier if it happened to other clubs):
- Kaladze doesn't want to move because he wants to leave Milan when his contract will end (nothing new), not to play football somewhere else then, but to stop his football career with the Milan shirt and start a politics career in Georgia by coming from a big club and not from Parma or I don't know what other club ...
- Jankulovski wants to stay because his children are in a school in Milan and he wants them to end their first/second scolarship cycle (I don't know how that works in Italy) in the same school before moving ...

with caceras i think we should sell bonera as well.

IDK , Kaladze never struck me as an intelligent guy , people hear say you wear your personality and he looks like a stupid son of b***h , That mercato is possible but I wont be banking on it we'll see but im certain that there is no way MGT will say no signings we are champions and great.....

One other thing Berlu keeps saying that no one has won more than Milan , but havnt Real Madrid won alot more it just seems odd when he says it ...unless he is only talking about international trophies which is B.S as I want it all domestic and world domination...lol

And I bought Ranocchia on PES and he's been doing a great job so far so I am all for his purchase Would us signing Joe Cole mean that we plan on continuing with the 4-3-3 and not switching back to the 4-3-1-2?

I believe that Cole is looking for a big payday (or so goes the talk in the papers), so that probably places this rumour in the realm of fantasy (that and the fact that it comes from The Sun). It doesn't seem as if the boss is wanting to spend any money, but then again you never know with him. I keep hoping that Italy's poor performance at the World Cup might spur him on to make some big buys...

Cole would give us an option for both, or even 442.

Joe Cole close to AC Milan?

Joe Cole could arrive at Milan soon. The Chelsea winger is ready to sign a 3-year contract for 3.2 million euro net per season. It seems that he has already rented a house near Milanello.

However, the player's agent, Kevin Giess, told calciomercato.com: "I have no news. Joe has just returned from South Africa and now he will go on holiday. Many clubs are interested in him as we are talking about an international champion".

"I think there will be developments by the end of the World Cup, in 2-3 weeks time. Milan or Juve? They are both interested".

Then he concluded: "Other English clubs are interested (Arsenal?). We'll decide after the World Cup".

3.2 mil euros per season is still ok for Milan. He will add creativity in the midfield department and as written already, Milan can play with 4-3-1-2 or 4-3-3 with Joe Cole. But if possible, I would like to see Milan selling Ronaldinho, his price should be still high and buy a young(er) CM or AM.

Joe Cole would be a great transfer!! he is an excellent player, and for 3.2m a season not overly expensive!
