I don't exactly understand. Was Fossati a Milan junior player when he was 15 years old (which means we just bought him + the other two players for 7m)?

On TMW, they wrote again that Honda could arrive thanks to Fly Emirates really wanting him. And Joe Cole would still be in our plans ...

I hope this is true Honda i'd definately like and Cole well he has shown glimpses of being good but loss of form and injuries have hampered that , and he would be free...We need new blood so badly.

Somone posted news that we paid 7 millions for 3 young players including Fossati which means he was not free like the news said (you wrote above)? |

i don't know if that's just me or does anybody think that pirlo (my personal idol nevertheless) is becoming tactically a stumbling rock in our plan of moving on and forming a good team. his deep lying midfielder role forces us to play with a CMF who can defend and that is usually the weakest link (gattusso/ambro/flamini) and a CMF who can help the attack (seedorf only!!/ambro sometimes). what i mean is that if we can develop a game plan similar to that of lippi's with the national team with two DMFs flamini and ambro (with strasser/gattusso as backups) who protects the defence and help the full backs to go upfront. then we will have an AMF infront of them who links the midfield to the front line. this player would be pirlo/seedorf. the fact that they will both fight for the place will increase their level of preparness and will accomodate for the lack of consistency/fitness which appeared from both players last season. I can't say that this is a perscription for victory but it does seem a better solution given the current squad. it would also help identity the weaknesses easier. if a goal enters it's either the 2 CBs or the 2 DMFa. not because pirlo mis passed the ball and is too lazy to run back. also if we want to strengthen our squad now. we will get back ups for both positions. a DMF and a tranquartista.

Regarding Ibra, it's a big yes from me. If Ronaldinho leaves, and he will, it's an open door for Ibra. Yes, he's a big game flop, but he can score 25+ goals per season in Serie A and make 5-10 assists.
Beside that, he's one of the most skilled players in the world, together with Totti probably most technically skilled and entertaining and that kind of players were always welcome in Milan. Also, I think he would fit perfectly into Allegri's 4-3-1-2, as he loves to move around, he can play the ball and he's fantastic at quick exchange of passes. And forget his Barcelona adventure, he wasn't happy there and he was played in bad position. I don't know why Guardiola bought him at all because he isn't the kind of player for center in 3-men attack. Regarding world cup and promising players, well it's all fantasy football, but I want to express my opinion anyway. Salcido form Mexico impressed me a lot, I remember him as center back but he was great as LB, fantastic shooter from distance especially. But, he's not young, he played in 2002, if I remember correctly even in 1998. That keeper from Ajax is good, it would be great if we'd go for him, but that's fantasy football. Oezil would fit perfectly in here as trequartista but I don't want to get overly excited with German players playing good for NT. Anyway, Schweinsteiger has grown into one of the best all-around midfielders in the world, imho. http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/67/wo...nd-italy-spain Here an interesting article on goal.com and I think we should go for Italian youth more. When you see these players, Motta, Santon, Santacroce, Rannochia, Bonucci, Aquilani... all very promising, some of them great already. Juve is doing great job buying young and promising Italian players, look at their team now, they've bought Motta and Bonucci, they have De Ceglie, Candreva, Marhisio, Giovinco, I mean in 5 years time when 6+5 rule should be applied, Juve will most probably have a great team. And Milan, well now we have only 2 Italian's considered as starters, Pirlo and Nesta. Both in the thirties. The only Italian player connected to us is right now Lazzari. But, it's not just for 6+5 rule, it's for Italian NT. I remember how De Rossi's generation won under-21 Euro with a treble. And just notice where are most of that player now, just because there's too much non-Italians and they can't make an impact, so they sit on the bench for 2 years and their progress is gone after that. |
