Is anyone else against the whole if Ronaldinho goes we'll try for Ibrahimovic thing? I know none of the Milan hierarchy have actually come out and said it but there are constant links. I just think that if we are going through a season of austerity then we should stick with it. Would it not be more beneficial if ronaldinho goes with the money we save on his wages to spend that money and a little more to try to get someone like ganso (who may command a high fee but not as high as ibrahimovic) is younger, will cost less in wages and will be a natural replacement? I just think if we have to put up with the whole "we want to rejuvinate, we want to balance our books" then we should do just that otherwise what was the reason in selling kaka in the 1st place. I know there were other reasons along with it (could have sold ronaldinho and saved on his wages and kept a model professional but.....). As much as I hate the fact we're not spending at the moment if it really is for the good of the club then so be it it just hints that the management have no real long term plan. I've always stuck by this management and still do as they have bought us a lot of success but they are starting to lose the faith of all fans. We can really only judge them at the end of August and I hope they will prove us wrong.

Ps Were Ronaldinho to be sold, I wouldn't be too upset. Think there are other players out there who can offer more effort.

reports in greece say that we agreed with genoa for papastathopoulos for 4,6mil,with a 4 year contract..it will be anounced tomorrow or the day after..although most of u know him from genoa,i am not true if u can apreciate him "correctly"..i ve seen him many times live too,i dont have much time right now,the only thing i am sure of,is that he has gr8 potential for a stopper,not an lb or rb as gasperini used him many times this year..he is really decent on man to man marking(just watch greese-argentina his marking on messi,where he played as a dmc btw)..i will write more,when the deal is official..

ps i think a dinho-ibra "swap" would be ideal,due to i dont trust dinho's motivation at all,and because it would be cool to see ibra-pato together on serie a..

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Edin Dzeko has said that he either joins Milan or stays at Wolfsburg. I know that doesn't mean that he'll actually join us, but at least we won't have to see him in a Juve shirt...

Thanks, I spotted this a few days ago. It is the only transfer we seem to be making a real effort on. I have seen him, and it would be a refreshing departure from our current scouting.

i think we completed the deal for the greek guy from genoa. can we give him a nick name cause i cannot pronounce, spell nor remember his name.

I think it will more likely mean he won't be playing for another Serie A team.

I was gonna suggest 'Papi' but someone in the club might not like it.

Huntelaar ronaldinho out, dzeko,podolski, that greek guy in jankulovski and oddo also out.

They call him the "Big Papa..." I would be very happy if this guy came in, probably on loan like Amelia.. Very versatile defender.

Not so keen on seeing Abate going the other way though. And I am not quite sure if Genoa will be stupid enough to accept Kala or Oddo in the deal !

Galliani also hints that a Hunterlaar move to the EPL is realistic now, and that Podolski should arrive if Hunter leaves..... Podolski is like Hunter in many ways, and has failed in the past to perform at the highest club level. Yet his international performances suggest he is worth buying. Bad club form will keep his price realistic!

Hmmm... Wikipedia are jumping the gun and claiming that Papa is already our player. Only 22 as well...

Probably we could get both Dzeko and Podolski for the same price+wages as Ibrahimovic so I'd rather have them. They would probably fit into our wage-structure. Seems like maybe Huntelaar is off too, so we'll have some more money there. With Ronaldinho gone then we could have this:

Podolski - Dzeko - Pato

I would approve that attacking combination. With Borriello as backup as he's not good enough to be our 1st choice striker.

Midfield, Midfield, Midfield.

As if Podolski is really 12Mil, a lot of teams will be sending in offers. The only way for Milan to have a solid season is Pato, Nesta, T. Silva and Borreillo staying injury free for most of the season and the continue improvement from Abate and Antonini along with those newly promoted youths.

It will surely be difficult (not to say impossible) to find an "assist maker" like Ronaldinho was last season, but depending on the chosen formation by Allegri, the replacement could be as good.

About Huntelaar, a replacement can't be worse, I mean, Huntelaar didn't have a great season here, he was often on the bench, he didn't show a lot of things, so even a decent replacement could do as well (staying on the bench) ...
