Like I said earlier, don't the MGT ever learn from their mistakes, like buying crap from Real, giving out long and big contracts to over the hill players, having a low release clause on potential star players and giving out 50/50 ownership with another club.

with 7 center backs tha means, Bonera or Gooch should be free to go, which i dont mind. I like bonera, but i feel like he is always injured, so let him go. im sure we can get about 3 mil or more for him.i like the signing.

also i do not mind the replacement idea.
Sell Huntelaar to the highest bidder, hopefully thats a team he wants to go to.
Please try again for Dzeko
Gattuso for Lazzari
Allow Fly Emirates to buy Honda
Rondaldinho goes RObinho comes. i would be happy.

thats 4-3-3 or 4-3-2-1 (if u put pato and robinho as AMs and Dzeko as striker)
Papa - nesta - t.silva - antonini
abate/pirlo - flamini -Honda
robinho-dzeko-pato

Hitmannq8: It is hard to judge now. The co-ownershiped players rarely become gold. Only Adriano (Inter & Parma) and Eto (Real & Mallorca) are examples.

IMO, we didn't really need to buy Borri if Gila wasn't that bad and Genoa couldn't afford him. However, 10-12M for him is not expensive. He contributed almost nothing to Milan before so that could be count as good buy (we even got the money when sold 50% him to Genoa).

About Matri, I don't think we need him.

Paloschi & Astori still need to be observed more.

With our current financial status, co-ownership will bring us a little money, when things are better, buy them back (if needed) is not hard. Blind envelope is a fair method, IMO. Moreover, if we use Albertazzi, Oduamandi & Strasser, there are risk to take. They are too young and have no real playing experience.

If our aim is better club, better finance step by step, co-ownership is still a good choice.

We need young players, but not too young, too inexperience.

Just my point of view

i honestly do not mind co ownerships. give the yound chaps some expierence that we couldnot offer then, and if they do become something, we already own half, and chances are we will get them back, as players would prefer to play for milan than a smaller club.

i love the deal, as we got what seems to be a legit cb/fb for only 4.5 mil. i havent seen him play, but since our interest i have onl heard god things. and inter was interested as well. and though i hate inter, they seem to get good players.

The report i read said that Genoa loaned him to us for the season with the option to buy next summer. Nothing was mentioned about 4.5 million or co-ownership of any players.

According to some reports, Lassana Diarra could be leaving Madrid. He could be someone worth looking into as he's a very combative player, though naturally it depends on the price and how desperate Madrid are to sell him. They also have Mahamadou Diarra, another one who could leave on the cheap, although injuries and loss of form make him more of risk.

As for Robinho, i wouldn't be surprised if we managed to get him on loan.

15th of July 2010:
- Yepes (CD/LB), Amelia (GK) and Papast... Sokratis (CD/RB) come
- Dida (GK) and Favalli (CD/LB) left

Not bad for a start, and for once, they looked at what there is in Italy, in Serie A, resulting in more or less cheap deals !!

If we follow the "rule" given by Galliani for this mercato (one player leaves, one player comes), that means that one of our RBs will leave (Oddo ?).

Jim, both Diarra are not worth playing in Milan: Mahamadou Diarra doesn't have the form (like you said) nor the qualities to play here, and Lassana Diarra is a player who lost his place around December/January and is just another replica of Flamini (who is a replica of Gattuso) ...

Strongly disagree with GeoTav. Both Diarra's are absolute class, but Lass is much better and younger. I would buy him for 15m. Much better than Flamini as he offers alot in the offensive buildup as well as defensive phase. It would be nice to have both Diarra and Flam in the starting lineup as they both move around alot. Will be an enormous upgrade on Ambro + Gattuso days.

i wouldnt go for diarra, any of them, we dont need them, we have enough dm. and of we need one, we can get on in our league for cheap. 15 mil is too expensive for milan, expecially for a position we do not need urgent help.

I still disagree.

In an economic sense if they are good they will more expensive than taking the chance now. And they better be at least something if we are even considering co-ownership at all.
In pure footballing sense you either own a player (and loan him if necessary) or you don't, forget about half this half that.

Well, from the first bold sentence, we will strongly disagree on these two players I think. For me, L.Diarra is a good player, nothing more. I can't deny that he is a monster in defensive phases, but at going forward and passing, he's really not better than Gattuso.

L.Diarra would be an interesting purchase if we sell both Gattuso and Ambro, no need to have 10 DMs in the team. And as Ambro deserves one more year in Milan (not necessarely as a 100% starter of course) ... won't happen !!

But I don't think we will manage to agree about these players actually ...

robinho on loan would be great imho. the best deal we would have done for the summer.there is no guarantee he will be good for us, he wasnt for madrid, nor ManC. he does have flashes, but not always there. if he plays great then we acquire him, if not, we let him walk. low risk, can be huge rewards. and we wouldnt invest 20 mil for him up front. can go to Dzeko or Ibra, preferbly Dzeko

You completely missed my point, which had nothing to do with the MGT and whether they know what they are doing. Everybody knows they don't.

My point was and is:
Nesta and Thiago are the only reliable centrebacks we have (I do not rate Kaladze and Bonera, while we know little about Yepes) so two reliable centre back is NOT enough.

You also mentioned injuries - Nesta missed half of last season, and the whole of the season before that. It would be irresponsible to not bolster this position. Thiago tends to have lots of small injuries too. Last season we had 6 centrebacks and still had to play Ambrosini at the back because Thiago was the only one not injured.

In summary - 7 centrebacks is not too much when only 3 (possibly 4 if Yepes proves to be useful) of them are any good, and only two of them are on the right side of their peak.
