It seems we're going to receive the money from TV rights (between 75 and 90M) earlier than expected ... Is it a way to have some money for this mercato ?

We bought two more youngsters today, Rocca and Ferrera from a club called Cimiano Calcio I think.

We have also loaned Donarumma out to Piacenza.

Strasser will sign tomorrow with Genoa according to his agent.

The TV rights deal Geo is talking about is still a big question mark, we don't know if our management had already included it in their plans, or if it comes as an added bonus. If indeed it is an added bonus, Milan would have absolutely no excuse now to go wild on the market buying players like Ibra and Fabregas, but I'm pretty sure that's not happening.

You know, after Juve had built their stadium last year (the only team in Italy to own their stadium), they have received a crazy amount of income apparently, and Galliani has been complaining for a decade about how Italian clubs need to own their stadiums to run self-sufficiently. Maybe, just maybe, they are collecting all this money to eventually build a stadium? In Italy, it was always Juventus to lead the way and Milan comes after them, so maybe this might be the reason we have been saving for the past half decade.

Sounds promising and with sales and the 10 or 15 million we have we would only need around 20 to get what and who we need.

Looks like Strasser will agree to join Genoa (according to milannews), so that's Odu and Strasser almost gone into co-ownership with Papa coming to Milan (which is all but certain as he's in Milan for a medical). I would prefer we hold onto Strasser, but I'm not too worried about him on co-ownership.

About the first part: this money was in the plans IMO, they maybe didn't expect to receive it this early, but that was for sure a part of the budget for 2010-2011. We receive this money each year (if I'm not wrong, we used to have more, the TV rights decreased), so it's planned in the books.

It's why while I wonder if the fact that receiving this money so early compared to other years could "force" us to use a part of it for the mercato, I think that won't change anything to our mercato: spending this money now means selling our biggest players at the end of the season to balance the books ...

About the second part: I don't know if it's in the plans of the club to build a new stadium (actually, given the situation on the mercato the last few years, I hope that won't happen soon because we would spend a big amount of money for this stadium and as a consequence, we would probably totally disappear from the mercato during some years, unless we sell players, but we should expect terrible summers for some years, and as a consequence, terrible seasons), but I read that there was some problems with San Siro and that both Milan and Inter should pay more than what they do to keep the stadium in the standards of UEFA.

why has no one brought up the idea of selling borriello. i think i would prefer replace him than huntelaar, as i dont think he is that much better, and i am sure we can get more money for him.

Sorry if already mentioned or asked. How much does Sokratis cost? Is it really 4.5 mil euros plus half of contract our 3 young players?

So if Gattuso goes, Strasser also goes (youth player that can be use as subtituion for Gattuso), does it mean that we will sign Jucilei?

Ah, the weather of this summer makes me dream earlier.

Siregar, yes it's been mentioned a few times in the previous pages. And no, no Jucilei but Manuel Blasi and Biglia (Anderlecht) is the latest linked to Milan (from some Italian transfer expert). Here's the article:

Blasi rappresenta l'usato sicuro".

I wouldn't bother thinking too much about which players are leaving right now. Supposedly Oduamendi who was the only one apparently prepared to go to Genoa is now saying he's staying at Milan.

Also, Genoa and Milan must surely have some sort of agreement if Sokratis is also in Milan for a medical today as rumoured.

any chance that management can work out gattuso and cash for dzeko? seems like woflsburg is very interested in gattuso and he is meeting with them.

I would also prefer Huntelaar to stay rather than Borriello. But it seems like Huntelaar is more marketable now. Anyway, if we're bringing in Ibrahimovic or Dzeko then either one of Borriello or Huntelaar would be 2nd choice striker so who's going and who's not is not that important I think.

What is Gattuso's market value? Not much I guess. Would still need to sell more players or break a bank to get Dzeko.

Interesting news regarding Ronaldinho:

Globoesporte report and quote Flamengo president: "I was going to Disney Land for vacation but now I prefer to go to Italy and talk to Galliani who confirmed that there is a possibility of selling Ronaldinho. I have rescheduled and I will soon travel to Italy for negotiations".

Another Italian transfer market Franco Zavaglia seems to believe that Milan will do "something" on the transfer market. He is one of many including Luciano Moggi.

Gattuso + agent are talking to Wolfsburg today after they were in Greece yesterday talking to Olympiakos. Maybe if Rino goes to Wolfsburg, we can try to bring up Dzeko in the negotiations. However one thing you can bet on, if Wolfsburg have been asking "only" a 40m price for Dzeko from Milan, then you can bet Galliani will return the favor giving them a similar stupid price when trying to sell Gattuso. The only difference is Wolfsburg don't need to sell Dzeko and Milan need to sell Gattuso.

Milan are still waiting on Kaladze, Oddo and Jankulovski to get the f out. I mean, as useless as Gattuso is, at least he understands that he is not needed here and wants to leave, respect to him. Hope he sets an example for the others to follow.

Regarding Sokratis, he has completed his medical but nothing is official yet. We do know that Strasser is going to Genoa for sure, we still don't know what's going on with Albertazzi, Oduamendi and the pricetag. I read a rumor that mentioned Oddo might be a late addition into this swap deal instead of Albertazzi....if only that were true..
