To be honest, I think Serie A is getting worse and worse by the year. Both Samporia and Palermo sold some of their top players. Roma looks stronger and so does Juve but they still ain't near the level of INter even with RB as manager. While Milan is living in denial. Genoa will be Genoa and the only rising team is Napoli. VIola lost their coach.
I finally realize why Berlu and Galli are against foreign ownership in Serie A. Since if that to happens, teams like Geona, Napoli, Parma or others will be bought by people who is willing to spend money and makes the team great, while Milan is trying to cut their budget. Just imagine Roman actually buying Viola and turning them into a top four team instantly. Then a Sheih buying Lazio and bought players like Adebayor, Tevez, Robinho, D. Silva, DeJong, Kompany and more. Or a Chinese owner getting a midtable side like Genoa and then spending 40mil per year to steadily improves the team.

Imagine that.

I agree. Even an absolutely insensitive jerk like Mourinho wouldn't bark at his owner before his job actually started. It is surely too early to put such judgment on Allegri.

I guess top managers from top clubs would have a plan involving transfers and certain demands to even take the job in the first place. Allegri comes from a relatively small club and is probably overwhelmed just to be in Milan.

I'm not judging Allegri yet, maybe he has the ability to get more out of the same players than Leonardo could. There's still a small portion of potential left in some of our players I guess. And hopefully we can stay clear of too many injuries...

The thing with Allegri is that he probably knows what type of squad he will be managing and people he will be working with.

He probably knows he won't be having players like CR9, Kaka and Messi. And most likely losing Dinho and others. Not sure if he is the one behind the Oddo's extension but I am pretty sure when he took up the job, he did not expects to have Kala, and Janku around.

DId Allegri asked for a few players here and there when he became Coach from B & G? He probably did, and most likely he asked for realistic targets-all players under 5 mil or so. Will he gets them is another story.

When you think about it? The firing of Leo might be more than Leo asking for much. It probably be the first step toward making Milan more Italian or European. As Brazilian and South American players are getting more and more expensive and if Leo is still around, he will be spending more money on guys like Hernanes or Juceili, even if they are 8 mil to 15 mil, Berlu will think they are over price....
Where he can always sign someone with Serie A exp like Yepes(although he is South American) or Amelia for free. Then shows how smart he is with every failed Brazilians and South Americans who did not make it in Europe.

Personally, if I was Allegri, I would take this Milan job, even knowing the squad is crap, the owner is cheap and there will be tons of pressure, but it is a launch pad for him to work for other big clubs as long as Milan finishes reasonably well, like CL spot. But any other top managers around the World would probably laugh at the idea of coaching Milan under the current conditions and that's speak how highly regard Milan is currently.

We can all laugh at Juve all we want but I would rather have Bonnucci instead of Yepes, Pepe instead of Mancini(if he signs with Milan-which I think it will happen at the end of August), and Martinez than trusting guys like Di Gennaro.

Point is that you can see the MGT of Juve doing something to improve the team while guys in Milan continues to think they are a Squad full of Champions, and that they were World Champions in 2008.......

We are almost in the middle of silly season, and I remain ambivalent at the progress (or lack thereof) in the mercato by Milan.

Its obvious that we need reinforcement, and to let some of the old warhorses go, but as to what Berlu will ultimately do, is anyone's guess.

Italy remains one of the European countries most impacted by the ongoing and possibly worsening (forget what you heard) global recession...and while other clubs such as Inter, Juve and (even) Roma are making lots of "waves" relative to Milan in the market, I refuse to worry at this point.

IMO, much depends on the outcome of the R9 "will he / wont he stay" drama, and once that is resolved, then I'm sure we will see a crystallization of our transfer plans.

There is no question that something will happen, the question is how big / small, and ultimately, how effective the moves will be.

The recent defensive and goal-keeping investments are typical of the current Milan mindset, and should come as no surprise....yet remain an indication that Milan Mgmt are aware that something needs to be done.

The entire midfield also needs a revamp....but only time will tell if / when / what will happen...

I too will have very low expectations for the foreseeable future for Milan. Such is life though....

A bit of a one sided bashing but all true.It is too early to say OMG we will do nothing next season as the mercato aint over yet.If Dinho goes I hope it is this week and not August 31st at 11:59 pm for an excuse of we had no time....Thats something Im wondering , it looks like Dinho will leave and are mgt actively looking for a replacement now or are they naive enough (that sounds wrong as Im talking about AC Milan but they have been inept for a long time now) to wait until he is gone.If or when he leaves I'll be interested to see what happens as I know realistically Robinho Dzeko Ibra are too expensive unless we can sign them for 10 million and they accept 3 or 4 million a year....Hey we might just get Mancini as a replacement...lol

The agent of Gattuso is in Dubai. That would be, I think for the club, the best solution as they will probably pay more than Wolfsburg or Olympiakos.

Real would offer 20M + Diarra (which one ?) for Thiago Silva, and the money could be used to buy Bruno Alves who interests the club. I hope it's not true (how can we have a solid defence if there is new players each season ?!).

^ Silva is one in a million. In a fair world, he would have started along with Lucio in the WC, IMO.

Like I posted earlier, it will be a players swap deal between Silva and Real.

Problem is, whoever ends up in Milan is/are their unwanted players while Silva is someone that could be a legend in Milan
