How many training facilities do they have to sell? It's obvious that clubs can't be run like that.

Honestly, I don't follow Barcelona that much to make a comment. But at least in terms of transfer, beside D. Alves, Villa and Ibra, (Henry signed on for free)they really did not spend that much money in signing players over the past few years about 100Mil in three years(not a not at all). Most of their players are from their youth. On top of that, they did sold Zambro, Dinho and Deco for a total of 45mil or so.
Point is, I really don't know how long did that debt began.

I don't know either. But considering their success and their status as almost being "the perfect club" I would think that it should be somehow reflected in their financials. In an economic sense there's no doubt the club is/has been poorly run. It's cases like these that has lead UEFA to look at rules regarding the economy of clubs.

Like I said, it really depends on how long they had been in debt. I mean, Barcelona had not been spending crazy amounts during summer after summer on transfer. It is just strange that they are in that much debt.
Then again, if that debt means money they owe to bank like a lease. Then it is a different story. I look at Clubs loaning money from banks to finance transfers players wages as normal practice, as long as they can pay the interest without borrowing more money. The reason I said that is b/c it is like us getting a mortgage to buy a house to finance a car.

Another great champion staying. I don't know about you guys, but I seem to recall something eerily similar to this whole situation. A certain player threatened to leave, shopped his own fat ass around for a few weeks, and ended up being "talked into" staying with a shiny new contract extension. Who was that player again? I cant seem to recall.....

They spent much more than that, mate. Their transfer moves were not wise.

Except for this season, they sold Yara Toure (30M) and Dmytro Chygrynskiy (15M, worse than Robbie Keane's case), after buy David Villa for 40M.

this is sick! we renewed the contracts of almost all our useless players
Galliani and silvio are even bigger idiots than I thought.

Thanks for the details mate, as I really don't know that much about them. You sure they spent 41Mil on D. Alves, I always thought it was 27? And I thought they only paid 30Mil for Ibra as that was a Eto + money deal

To add 2 cents:
1. If Barca has no money to pay the wages, it means their current revenue doesn't cover up their current losses. So it's definitely a short term problem, not a long term.

2. And yes, Barca has developed some solid youth players, but imho it's impossible to evaluate how good they are so far. Both in Barca and in the Spanish national team they have 5-6 world class players around them, which no doubt makes them look better than they are. I'd like to see how Pedro, Busquets and others perform without their stars.

Damnit Gattuso reportedly has come to an agreement with that stupid Galliani to stay.... We were being linked with players such as Diarra, VdVaart, Lazzari, Honda and now we have to stay put with this USELESS Gattuso?

More lies from the management = more anger in the fans. I hope the Milanistas react with fiercer strikes. This is complete BS.
