Yes but if you sign a player on 4 million a year and your country has a 50% tax bracket for high earners 50% or half of 4 million is 2 million....4 million would be 100% tax which would mean you get nothing.

No, it is not like that.

The wages of players are net and not gross. The income tax is calculated on the gross wage.

When a player earns 4 million net with a 50% tax rate means his gross earning is 8 million.

So that means Oddo Janku Zambro Kala were on 8 million a year and Ronaldinho is on 18 million a year if what you say is correct and Im wrong ???

But Charlie says that's net not gross so Milan pay another 4 million in tax.Which would put all of them on 8 million and Dinho on on 18 million.Im not saying anyone is right or wrong.

I would think that your take is the right one. If not I seriously understand the whole salary-cap thing going on. With 18 million Ronaldinho would probably be the best paid player in the world. I think wages in England are usually qouted as gross, which would mean Ronaldinho makes twice the amount of money compared to John Terry before taxes.

No. The government wants 50% of wage, to go into tax. A player wants 4M wage for them, after tax. So, we list the wage as 8M to government, pay the 50% (4M), and the player gets the rest (4M) as they want (4M). It's like, giving 50% of your wage into tax. That's how I paid my tax here, 10% of my salary was cut for tax, so I only earn 90%.

You know if our current squad everyone 30 and over were say 28 we would absolutely beat anybody i think , football isnt is as good as it was even 7 years ago , look at all the positions now how many players make you go wow.But our mgt clearly think that they are all the same as when they were 28.

You are right. Their tax base is that high. Milan do have to pay that high for those players.

On a different note, I thought Ronaldinho gets 6.5 million a year (13M for Milan)?

All the figures you see are net. So Charlie is right. I have done research on this in the past. 4 million euros is 8 million euros gross. That is what we pay our champions.

So, if you see Ronaldinho wants a 6 million euros contract, 6 mill will also go to the govt.
