About Hernanes, he is 25 already and at his peak, means he (maybe) is the most expensive now and will leave no interest if sell again. 14M € is fair price, but the deal is not complete yet.

thats pretty disappointing, even if he is not the hyped player of two years ago. we didnt even give it a try.

Totally agree. Papa is a great cd and he should play in that position. Bear in mind that we ve got Serie A and CL and Nesta, no matter how great, being in 100% condition throughout the following season is something we just can't bet on.

The funny thing, though, is that we are full of right backs but they are no good. So i can already see Allegri starting Papa as the regular RB of our defensive line.

Still, i have a question: does anybody have faith in Zambrotta for playing one last good season?

His last really good season was when he was in Juventus, but it seems that he shouldn't have left them ...

He can be good as a backup playing here and there some minutes, nothing more IMO.

Zambro as a backup LB, Abate as a backup RB, that would be good for this season, but the problem is still the same, who could be this cheap starting RB ?

A solution could be to use two players as RB: Sokratis against the best teams (to have a better defense) and Abate against smaller teams (to have more solutions forward).

There was someone like Mattioni but Milan screwed that up.

those were the good old days when milan was a good enough team to get rid of a potentially good player like mattioni.. if we had him now we'd think of him as gold to have a young argentinian player on our team but we didnt care because we had great players that didnt allow these young players to get a chance, hence gourcuff mattioni and im sure theres other names to mention were sold anyways idont really like the idea of hernanes going to lazio, we''ve been linked to ledesma does that actually mean hes coming to our team.. honestly hes a prety hard working good player but id prefer ben arfa over him tbh and ben arfa isnt really under my list.. id love to see honda or robinho at milan..

First of all, Mattioni is Brazilian, Grimi is Argentinian. Secondly, Mattioni is playing in La Liga. The scary part is his is literally doing what D. Alves did when he arrived in Spain.

On the topic of Spain, the latest rumor is once again, T. Silva heading to Real in exchange for cash and VDV or VDV and L. Diarra.

Not sure how good/bad this Mattioni guy really is/was. He played 20 matches on loan at Mallorca last season, scoring one goal. This summer he signed for Espanyol. Anyway, it doesn't concern us now.

Poli I can't comment on as I mentioned before I don't know a great deal about him. However, rumours suggest he's beyond our price range.

Santon is a no hope for us. Inter know they have a good player there and will not sell him to us.

Cigarini is 24 and until now hasn't shown any real promise that he will ever be more than a decent player. If he was to come to Milan, at best he would play a bit part role and wouldn't see much first team action.

Aquilani is similar. He's 26 and he's injury prone, which is very well publicised. At Roma he only really showed glimpses of his ability and at Liverpool he never really played.

We're linked to 3 new names today for midfield, with Dos Santos, Hleb and Elano. Hleb for me seems an unnecessary purchase and wouldn't really add what we need in midfield. The same can be said of Dos Santos, but he had an excellent world cup and at 21, could be a decent addition if the price is right (he went to Spurs for 6m euros I think, which isn't too much imo).

Elano hasn't ever been a favourite of mine, but I must say I think he was excellent for Brazil during the world cup before his injury. He would add a dimension to our midfield we could really use well and of the three seems the most natural fit for us. Biggest problem is he's also 29 and may be the most expensive of the three.

All the people who said that Allegri had been chosen because he would be a nice puppet for Berlusconi without giving him any chance to prove the contrary ... what do you say and think now ?

Each time he has an interview, he repeats he needs that and that and that.

Berlusconi has taken someone who is "worse" (for him) than Leonardo !!

I like the fact that this coach has clear ideas and doesn't play with medias, he just says what he thinks ... when he tries to "play with medias" (Kaladze-Jankulovski staying in Milan instead of coming in London), the result is worse than when he says what he thinks. Funny days to come with our Mad Max !!

How has Sokratis played this pre-season?

Guys--we are not going to sign anyone. We have to make peace with this. Milan is no longer an ambitious team. Allegri's appeals will not lead to anything. Even failure does not motivate the higher-ups. Owners care about Juve and Inter. Berlusconi wants success on a shoestring budget. However, if he doesn't get it, then he doesn't care. After all, he is over 70 now. The man is a colossal fraud and a committed opponent of free expression. The man lies for a living. We deserve better, but we won't get better.

dos santos is garbage ..... big ego in mexico , doesnt pass and failed at barcelona , elano 5' 9" is fast but gets outmuscled eazily like most brasilians , hleb is 6' 1 " wants to join us is a midfielder also can be a winger , support striker also is very strong and physical ( i've seen him in a 4411 at arsenal in UEFA CL games ) , think with your heads
