Must say I worry about his "fragility" too. Let's hope he doesn't turn into another Robben or Kaka of recent years.

He still has a bit more time to grow so hs injuries aren't a problem imo. They'll be few and far between in about a year.

Has anyone considered the reason that we are playing against Panathinaikos is to talk to the club about Sotiris Ninis?

Dev, i've been thinking about Fabregas and Xavi against Holland and I was wondering if it that interchangeability between roles (regista and trequartista) can work with our Pirlo and Seedorf. They can both perform both the roles, so what if they sort of cycle irregularly during a game to pull the opponents DMs out of position and create space for each other? Ambro and Flamini would anchor the midfield and give them room to dance. Thoughts?

Thats a good idea but do the two of them half the skill and pace to do this for the whole game? What exactly is a regista? Do we play with one under Allegri's system?

Regista in Italian means a director, like a director of a movie.

In football a regista plays further behind than a trequartista. Pirlo is a regista, for example.

Bori and Antonini have been called up to Italy's first game under Prandelli, and so have Amauri and Balotelli. Surprisingly, no Gilardino!

I think Italy are going to do very well under Prandelli. He is completely umbiassed. I would have loved to see Santon, Thiago Motta, and Andrea Candreva though

If this 2002-2005, I say yes, but they still lacks pace. But in 2010, there is no way these two should even be on the pitch together let alone expect them to play like Xavi and Cesc. The only two players in Milan that is capable of that are Pato and T. silva. Come to think of that, that might work.

Guess Prandelli knows that Gila can't play

New Genoa-Milan rumour: a trade of loans including Bocchetti and Jankulovski (or Abate, there are 2 versions of the rumour ). Wouldn't say no.

yeah I would live to get rid of both Abate and Janku... maybe give them both for Bochetti + KP Boateng (as long as he has a German passport)

KP played for Germany U-15, U-17, U-19, U-21, nearly all levels of German youth national team. But those rumors are likely to be rubbish; why buy Bocchetti when we had about six CBs and had just bought two of them.

hmm you could be right but that would be a young and fast upcoming talent an we love our 30+ champions so i think its just a coincidence tbh

would love to be proven wrong though
