So nowadays, with an old Sheva and an injured Kaka', the situation would be maybe worse with fans asking to replace some of the "oldies" and wanting a vice-Kaka'.

I don't think Maicon is unprofessional, it's even the contrary, so it's not a sure fact that he will lose all his pace, he could turn into a kind of new Cafu, being among the best RB until 35-36 (even by losing some pace, he can in the worst cases try to do like Zanetti) ...

The Boateng and Bocchetti sagas continue on, but there look to be doubts now. Boateng seems as though it will probably still end with Genoa buying and loaning to us. However, as already mentioned Allegri hasn't really said anything much about the deal.
The Bocchetti deal seems to be slipping away. Janku has apparently already rejected a move and now we must consider one of Abate and Bonera in the deal. I would rather lose Bonera in this respect than Abate as he's less needed at Milan now (and Bochetti would be a welcome upgrade over him now). The problem is Juve are now interested in Bocchetti and Genoa are reconsidering selling him, as they want a player who can play in a three man defence. There's also a lot of debate over signing these two players. Bocchetti I'm happy to have as a fullback personally, as he's very solid and comfortable there and can push up (not to say he's attacking like Antonini). If we bring in a central midfielder who is expected to push up like Flamini, then we may not need extremely attacking fullbacks. I say this because a feature of Allegri's system I've noticed is the two midfield shuttlers on either side of the regista would push out wide onto the wings. As for Boateng, I still believe he can offer something interesting, but only if he's disciplined and focused on his football. |

Some news about Dzeko/Wolfsburg: some officials of the club are in Italy right now. Reports suggest it could be for Dzeko, but also for Barzagli who interests several clubs of Serie A. Some days ago, there were reports about an offer of Juventus for Dzeko, let's hope it's not for that. My optimism lets me think that they're in Italy because Milan has decided to be serious and make a big offer for the player ... but my realism recalls me that it's unlikely to happen.

My understanding is at the very least a club must have 3 homegrown players and 3 association trained players (what are association trained players?) or 4 homegrown players. Basically, without Abate, we have Oddo, Antonini and Borriello as homegrown players. Along with Odu, Verdi, Strasser and Merkel, of which at least one will probably be included in the list (as without them our squad could be too small) we should be able to cover UEFA's quota. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is my understanding. As for Dzeko, I hold little hope now tbh. |

MAREK JANKULOVSKI refuses to leave. As Salvatore Bocchetti’s agent said, this deal is up to Jankulovski and yesterday he gave his answer – No. The Czech isn’t ready to move to Genoa in exchange for Bocchetti and he delays the deal.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What a fckin a$$hole is this jankulovski. again he rejects a move, does he have any self respect?

Homegrown are the players that at one time in their career have trained with one of our youth system. association trained players are players who have went through the youth system of one or more clubs in Italy. Inter and Real will have real problems in this regard.

Krasic has confirmed that has agreed terms with Juventus. This is bad news with just a bit of hope of getting a good one.
Krasic is a great prospect and can be the "Nedved" that Juve has missed this past season. Now that Cska has sold Krasic its highly unlikely that they will decide to sell Honda. The good news is that If Juve bought Krasic they have given up on Dzeko, so we still have a chance if Wolfsburg officials are in Italy as it has been reported.

About the rules for the A list: A player trained in club is a player who was registered in the club for at least 3 seasons between 15 and 21. A player trained in association is a player who was registered in a club in Italy for at least 3 seaons between 15 and 21. A player can be trained in club, training in association, or nothing (other players), but contrarly to what is done in Football Manager for example, a player trained in club isn't counted at the same time as a player trained in association. The list can contain 25 players or less. The list must contain 17 or more players. About the rules for the B list: The players who are less than 21 and have been registered for at least 2 years can be on this list. About our team, is Oddo counted as a player trained in association or trained in club ? Do we really want to rely on Oddo to make our list ? Have the young players you mentionned already been registered in Milan for 3 years ? If I'm not wrong, this year, we'll be able to put Pato on the B list. To conclude, to be allowed to register 25 players in the A list, we need: - 8 players trained in club - 7 club + 1 association - 6 club + 2 association - 5 club + 3 association - 4 club + 4 association === Reports suggest that Boateng in Genoa, it's done: 5.7M + Vanden Borre. Milan, Lazio and Napoli would like to have him on loan, and we're the favourites in this race.

The thing is that, maybe Milan would not have bought Pato but actually invested in Ganso. Guess we never know. If Sheva stayed, they might never sign Dinho. Or Sheva can mantain his form or Kaka wont get injured as much....a lot of if, no point discussing.

I think Strasser should be eligable to count as he was signed by Milan back in 2008, whilst I'm not sure about the others. Either way, this isn't really for us to worry about and it does seem we can just about cover ourselves if need be lol. |

Let's wait for his loan in one of the clubs, they will probably give an explanation then ...

The only reason I could think of is Genoa use Milan's name to lure the player. Genoa is a small team, in a different league & no Europe competition, so it is hard to interest player with ambition like KVB (he had a good WC, at least). 1 year in Milan could give him CL experience and be more famous. If he performs well, a better club (than Genoa & Portsmouth, maybe Milan ) will buy him, Genoa of course can't reject a sure profit if no Europe again or will receive a very good player to competitive in Europe. And if he finds it hard at Milan's level, he can go back to a smaller club but with good organization, which suits him better. So if this complicate deal completes, it will bring happiness to 4 sides. Milan has the reputation, Genoa has the money, why not ![]() Last edited by Aficio; 09-08-2010 at 11:39. |
