damn Brazil turns me on, Robinho - Ganso leaded by none other than our own Pato (who wasted a few chances)

glad to see KVP deal hittin the brakes, I wasn't too convinced...I prefer Merkel to be honest. I just hope we get those 3 badly needed players for our starting eleven. World class striker, AM, fullback and we're set for the treble (ok maybe not but at least Coppa Italia).

Does anyone have any extended highlights of the Brazil match. I've seen the goals, but that's about it.

Everyone had a great game for Brazil, and even Lucas (who has looked like a shadow of a player in England) was a beast in the middle. The player that impressed me the most though was Ganso. I know people are screaming for Neymar after that show of speed and skill by him, but for me Ganso is the brain of this team. What an intelligent player. Aware of his surroundings at all times. Never complicates things yet openes up the game with 1-2 touches on the ball. Great vision, great technique. Able to do the craziest things on the ball yet only does them whenver there is need for them. Reminds me of Zidane with the way he moves around the field, and with the way he plays.
lol, I've made a few posts about how Ganso is probably the Brazilian I want to see most in Milan (even moreso than Jucilei or Mario Fernandes). His intelligence and vision really impresses me and quite honestly given our new system plays a midfielder ahead of the midfield trio (almost as a traditional playmaker), it's almost criminal we're not more seriously after him. I like Neymar too, but I see a lot more potential in Ganso tbh.

I'm a little surprised about Lucas. I know he's highly rated by many Brazilians but it's been difficult to understand why if I'm honest, especially with guys like Hernanes and Jucilei coming through (there's also another central midfielder who Brasileiro mentioned a long time ago who looked very impressive, but I can't remember his name).

Considering Milan's financial situation, I would be very happy if we add Dos Santos (6-8M) and Boateng (1M Loan) to our current roster.

We would get good alternatives to Ambrosini/Gattuso in midfield and Ronaldinho on AMC.

If we get those two players, we will be solid in every department (little less solid with our fullbacks IMO), but it would be competitive team.

Then if we even sell Hunter, we could glet Zlatan on loan with that money, or even better, someone younger for 15M.

I know is' fantasy football knowing the ambitions of our management, but it could be done if they want it. I think we'll spend much next year when many players should leave the club or renew their contract at smaller salary.

Diego said few days ago he doesn't want to leave. It seems Juventus tried to get Dzeko by including Diego in the deal, which refused Wolfsburg. But Wolfsburg must have become hungry thanks to this deal and probably wants Diego. What I don't understand is:
- why Juventus would sell the player ?
- why Juventus would accept to sell the player for such a "small" fee to Wolfsburg, a club refusing all offers for Dzeko ?

If I sum it up, Juventus are going to sell Diego to give more space to their young Del Piero ? And then we manage to be unhappy with our mercato ?!

And we are laughing at our own lack of creativity. I doubt it will be the case but if he is sold and they don't replace him with a big signing they are in bigger trouble than us.

Ganso really has improved his overall game. I remember Milano84 also was high on him, but at that time Ganso wasn't cut to European game. In just 6 months the guy added a level of work rate even a coach like Capello would love. Plus, he's starting to learn how to play with a player "on his neck"... six months ago he would be frustrated easily.

The talent was there, but like Alex(Fenerbach), Ganso would have need luck to find a coach in Europe to uses him properly.

Fair point about Lucas, but now you understand why we Brazilians rate him high. I watch Lucas since he was the captain of our youth NT, and the guy has talent. To be honest I still rate Jucilei high, and he would be my starter, but Lucas isn't bad as EPL people like to say.

First, his game(short-fast-pass) isn't suited to Liverpool style. Plus, pace is a factor for him. To be fair, he adapted to EPL pace better than I though, but thats not his game. Spain or Italy style suits him better.

But the more important thing is the arrogance of the coaches. It was clear Rafa Benitez liked Lucas, but I don't understand how a he buy a player to uses him in a wrong position. Like Fergusson buying the best AMD in a under-20 WC and turning him into a normal DM. Not every player can adapt to multiple roles, and I'm really concerned where this generation( Ganso, Neymar, etc...) will play in Europe

To make it straight, Rafa Benitez is already killing another Brazilian talent(Coutinho) playing him at the left. C'mon, the kid didn't have the body to play there. Just because he's talented?! Coutinho is a skinny #10, and to put him in just a sector of the pitch, will only make it easy for the defenders. He needs to be roaming the field using his pace...

Btw, rant aside(sorry), the player you asked is Arouca(also from Santos), the best #5 playing in Brazil nowadays. To make it clear for the ones that never saw him, think about a speedy Seedorf turned into a real holder. Thats Arouca... Amazing talent!

He will have his chance in the near future.

from having the problem of fitting Del Piero, Diego, & Giovinco all in 1 team, Juve is getting rid of the 2 young ones and keeping the oldie?
the only explanation i guess is that they want to play with 2 attacking wingers and after getting pepe, i guess Krasic (or Elia) will be arriving shortly to try to benefit from Amauri's strong aerial play...
otherwise, they're just plain stupid

The difference between these players who've been used in another role and the new generation (Ganso, Neymar, etc) is that the new generation already has their chance in NT. So everyone can see what their position is, especially as the new NT coach of Brazil seems to use players in their best role (well, it's just one game, so let's wait some time), and doen't try to just add many stars in the team by using them in wrong positions ...

So European scouts have 2 chances to see these players and understand what is their real role/position in a team: with their club and with the NT. If they buy one of them and don't use him in his favourite position/role, then, it's no more arrogance, it's just stupidity ...

About Brazil, it's just crazy how after each competition, they manage to have a new team with new stars/potential stars. Do you imagine that guys like Ronaldinho, Kaka' (injured, but regarding his recent form, does he have his place in that team ?) or Diego are out of the team and they're not 30+ years old ?! They would be the leading stars for most of the NT in the world.

All countries should take a look at the way Brazil organizes the formation of players, how they produce new talents, especially nowadays, because they manage to produce new talents for all positions. That just sounds impossible, but they do it.

Do you mean that Juventus will rely on a striker who doesn't score ?

With their players + the guys they bought during the mercato, they could have set 2 teams (4-3-1-2 and 4-2-3-1), but if the rumours are to be believed (Diego out after sending Giovinco in Parma), they will just be unable to change their formation. It's like having an advantage at the beggining and trying to have a handicap at the end of the mercato ...

Well done Bianconeri !!

PS: And they will have no more great player (except their new defence, they could be strong there) to make the difference.

Del Neri is one of few coaches who stick to the old 4-4-2.

So, he'll definitely use 4-4-2, with two side midfielders, one second striker and one "real" striker.

This is their most probable formation:

Buffon - Motta, Bonucci, Chiellini, De Ceglie - Marchisio, Sissoko (Melo) - Pepe, Candreva - Amauri, X.

For "X", I'm sure Del Neri will not stick with Del Piero for too long, I mean there's no logic in sticking with old players when they've bought all young players. Krasic has been linked with Juventus for a long time so if Diego rumors are true, Del Neri wants to let Diego go and to get Krasic for that position. That makes sense if we're talking about Diego from last season, but Diego from Werder days is just perfect for that position.

Juve cant compete with this first 11 for the scudetto, its impossible if you aske me.

Firstly, their wing backs are not world class wing backs, its not obvious their contribution, Bonucci didnt prove his worth at highest level, Chiellini's injury problems.

Then in midfield, There will be a problem in team defence, then central midfield, Juve needed a player who is effective offensivelty in further area, like Hernanes for instance. would be a steal move for them.

Then offensive game, Pepe is not a scoring winger, then other is not as well.
Amauri is not a striker who can score more than 20 goals each season.in this case, everything depents on that Mister X. an SS who can score +20 goals.
