yeah im with you on this one. i think our bench is much more useful than years gone by. (thats ofcourse if we use the young guns)

I think Seedorf is seen as the Pirlo alternative, which actually suits him very well.

Anyways, I have a feeling Allegri will be a bit more 'Sacchian' (In reference to the article ACMilan1983 posted) in the sense that he would try to avoid relying on specialists in the midfield. In the friendlies he did use Seedorf as a distributer, but for periods of the game both Strasser and Flamini was distributing the ball, which made me think that maybe he didn't want a particular player always having to be the one that distributes the ball.

Ofcourse our team is full of specialists. Ronaldinho, and Inzaghi are the best examples, but still it'll be interesting to see how Allegri decides to play Pirlo once he's ready to play. Perhaps we'll see him in a less dominant role.

I don't think the problem was lack of depth. I think the main problem last year was the lack of will to win and dominate from the players. To me that had been going on since 2007 CL win. They always struggle against teams who are fast and strong, but that was not the case before 07, simply b/c the players actually wanted to win.
You guys kept pointing to Nesta and T.Silva as the main reason why Milan lost points....but to me it was mainly down to the opposing teams strikers. Whenever Milan played against a team with an inform strikers or attk players, Milan will most certainly lose even with Nest and T. Silva as CBs. What pisses me off was that the talents are there, but they lack the will to compete. Lack of movement in midfield is a direct result of players giving up, as I refuse to believe that players are tired and can't play twice in a week. Thats a beautiful excuse for being LAZY. They are all professional athletes with the best training facilities and trainers in the world, I am sure if they want to get in shape, they have all the access to. Just like how Shaq still is crap at free throws, considering he has been playing the game at the highest level for 20 yrs. IF he works on it harder than anyone else, i am sure he would had improved over the years.

Ofcourse there were players who just can't play anymore like Kala, Oddo, to some extend Zambro and Janku, but how often did those four played last season.
Point is that, changes are needed, as I am sick of watching these Walking Dead playing for my beloved club-Milan. Can't wait for Kala, Oddo, Zambro, Janku, Seedorf, Pirlo, Dinho, and even Ambro to retire from football and Milan have fresh faces and new players.

As for Dzeko, maybe he did agreed on a contract with Wolfs last year that they would release him if Milan made an offer, but if that offer is 10Mil for someone like Dzeko, you really can't blame Wolfs for saying NO.

In this modern football era, specialist is a dying breed. When you look at all the great under 25 players or even under 20 players, they are all pretty much the complete package for their positions. Also we no longer see players who are slow but very skillful. I would not say the game is becoming kick and run but if you lacks pace and unwilling to provide off the ball movement, you must be extremely great at some thing in order to make it big.

Read the link. Even a former homeless player is value at 7.4M Pounds, I guess Milan will never have the money to sign any professional players anymore. Or instead of scouting in major tournaments, Milan will start sending scouts to homeless World Cup.

Jokes aside, that's a pretty interesting story. Although i have never heard about him nor seen him play at all, I can't help but cheer for him in the coming seasons.

i just hope the report is true, If we are interested its not hard to beat Madrid to his signature. Madrid have Kaka, WDW and Canales to play in his position...not to mention that Mourinho due to Ronaldo will have to focus on the wingplay.

If we are interested and we have 20 mil, we can have our future Golden Ball winner in our squad.

I hope Belusconi think of him as another Pato.

In the last interview of Allegri, here what he said to the question "about the mercato, is Boateng useful ?":

"He is used for completing the roster of midfielders: with some players of 34yo, we can't think we'll do the whole season with only 3 players. Also, I'll do a good turnover and when I send 4 fresh players, they must be as good as the others. Boateng is a good midfielder (mezz'ala), he was born in 88, I like him."

I know I already said it once, but for all the people who said that Allegri would just be a puppet for Berlusconi and Galliani, well, I never read such a thing, such a realistic thing from Ancelotti and Leonardo ...

It's like with Ronaldinho, when Leonardo was pleased by his performances, Allegri, in the same interview said that 15 goals and 16 assists for him isn't enough, he wants to see more from this player.

He also talked about his weight: the last "update" is 83,7 kilograms, last year, he played the whole season at 87 kilograms, when he came back from Brazil this summer, he was at 86 kilograms, and when he won the Ballon d'Or (Golden Ball), he was at 81-82 kilograms. I think Allegri tried to say that Ronaldinho is working hard by saying that ?

I'll write the whole interview in the TIM Trophy topic as it was an interview for this competition, initially.

PS: His answer to the question "choose the best 3 young Italian players", he replied "Ranocchia in defence, Poli in midfield, Paloschi in attack". We were linked with Poli, and we own 50% of Paloschi, does that mean that we already know who will be our 2 targets next summer ?

Better to be Kaka as he would think that in a few years, he can sell Ganso for 65mil again.

Problem is, Real can pay 50mil for him.

Anyhow, I think he won't be going to Real as Robinho probably tells him Real sucks.

That is not entirely true...real can but will not spend more than they "have to"....I think that Maicon case proves that. Normaly real would splash 35 mil for him....but not Murinhos Real.

Frankly, I wanted to say Kaka, but we can't have him for 8M, Pato's price is enough, and I don't think Pato remain too long after Golden Ball

Frankly, Pato will never win the Golden Ball if he has the squad of the current standard around him... unless he becomes the second Maradonna and wins a Champions League for us all by himself.
