Seeing as Villa have never had a player who could do this I doubt you would understand

Francesc Fabregas: 22 year old captain of Arsenal team. Arsenal 6 - 2 Blackburn.

4 assists, one goal. Not much more has to be said really. Not many playmakers mature as early as this guy has..and it feels like he has been around forever. What's the record on number of assists provided by one player in a single game?

The BEST that the EPL has to offer

By the way, we had some one with similar kind of goal celebration style, but at the end he turned out to be a liar

Premier League is becoming more and more ridiculous !!

3 games ended by a 6-0 this W-E (Wigan - Chelsea, Arsenal - Blackpool, Newcastle - Aston Villa), which means that there are already 4 games having ended with such a ridiculous score after only 2 days (Chelsea already won their first game 6-0).

Too many teams whose only strength is a couple of hard working or 'committed' players.
I think it has always been that way but now the league is becoming more polarized because the money gap is bigger. Even Aston Villa who have an American owner can't or don't spend that much.

IMO, it's the start of the end of the Golden Age of Premier League (2000's years). Manchester United and Liverpool are financially in trouble, Chelsea doesn't spend anymore (they look like us 2-3 years ago, but with less talent in the team than us at that time, I mean, if they keep that team for 2-3 more years without changing too many things, they won't see a semi-final of CL anymore), the small clubs aren't good and don't manage to improve, even a team like Manchester City with Mancini and "unlimited" money to spend struggle.

The question is, what championship will be the heir of Premier League ? Liga (the problem is that this championship looks like a Barcelona-Real Madrid championship), Serie A (clubs have spent a bit more than usually this year) or Bundesliga (everything is set to make this league a success: stadiums, crowd, some rising stars, new owners) ?

Heir? Campeonato Brasileiro <---- I was going to put a " " there but I won't.

European leagues are in too big a trouble. Barca not paying and having to take a loan, too many examples like that. Germany has two or three bigger teams doing ok but that's it as far as I know.

i think comparing leagues is a silly argument. they each have their own special something. i enjoy them all. spanish for the passion, brazilian for the tricks, italy for the love, germany for the excitement, and english, for a laugh....

I'm not sure about the "too many hard-working players" part Reza. I saw those matches and I think both Blackpool and Wigan played quite the continental way instead of old kick and rush.

Indeed their defense were awful, but their midfielders and attackers did know how to really build an attack. Instead of just camping on their own half, trying to help their vulnerable defenders, they continued to attack bravely if not suicidally. And the coaches didn't seem to disapprove this.

It's as if they thought losing 0-2 and 0-8 are just the same. It reminds me a UCL game between Arsenal-Barcelona when Messi scored a hattrick last season. The Gunners tried to play their similar fluid, attacking scheme even after it was blatantly obvious that Barca were far too good for them.
