I don't see the 30 million beeing paid now , it will be a loan and probably 30 million over a few years if we buy him.I'd take Ibra on loan tell Hunter he has to go and get about 12 million for him and put 5 with that give City 17 now and add ons for Robinho...if it only it was that simple and if we swapped Abate for Bochetti , now that is a dream I know but Papa, Ibra , Robinho , Bochetti , Amelia , Yepes and Oduamadi Verdi Merkel Strasser coming up thats 10 new players and 4 are real good Yepes can play against teams from 12 - 20th place . Again if only it was that easy not bad though comparing with the recent past.

P.S Borri to Barca too.

First, I am very happy about this possible transfer. Whenever mrki would put down a formation here, Ibra would be his dream forward. Now that we have a real possibility of getting him, many of you are acting like Debbie downers.

Secondly, I think the chances of getting him are real because Berlusconi wants Ibra. And we all know when Berlusconi wants a player or a prostitute he gets what he wants.

Thirdly, adding Ibra would be a big signal to Serie A and Europe that Milan are not entirely living on past laurels. Don't get me wrong--our transfer policy is fundamentally flawed, but Ibra's possible signing signals at least some ambition.

Fourth, the bottom line is, if Berlusconi wants he can outspend anyone except Man City owners. Our well publicized poverty is a bit rich, if you catch my drift.

So, enjoy this. Ibra could be Rossonero by the time we take on Lecce. After so many long hot summers of anguish, we finally have something to cheer about. And Jay Crisp, you are right--I think it will be in installments.

If we really want Ibra, not only on loan, we have to spend money, maybe we can loan him for one season but if we want to buy him next year we have to spend! Wouldnt it be better to spend that money on Dzeko? Dzeko is the future!

Hassan, agree on points 1 and 2, to a certain extent point 3, but for point 4 - we are poor and are not able to outbid others.

We are getting him on loan and are paying half of his salary. When we outbid the best teams in Europe to buy a superstar or even up and coming talent, then and only then can your fourth claim begin to becoem credible.

New rumours: Madrid would try to get Borriello.
So the fact that we could be ready to give Borriello to get a player (Ibrahimovic) is a signal for other clubs that Borriello can be sold. Having several clubs wanting him is the best way to tell Barcelona that if we do a trade, Borriello's value will be high.

K77SH_C, I think Hasan wanted to say that Berlu CAN outbid all club owners in europe, except Man city arabs. He's got the money. Weather or not he wants to, that's another issue.

He is one of the richest men in the world and in the last year and two the value of his portfolio has gone up, despite recession and stuff. Of course he has the money if he wants to use it.

its not that simple for silvio anymore as finivest are putting gr8 pressure against any milan investments..for me every move berlusconi makes has 99% to do with his politics, thats why 2 years now he gives no money for milan as he wants to give an excample..

on the dzeko-ibra part,i think we're being really weird fans(personally i ve written that i prefer ibra for many reasons),but to start complaining after such a transfer under these circumstances is not a serious thing to do..the same goes if we got dzeko too,of course..

ibra's arrival can help as few, look at our team..with scs like bori hunter and pippo(i am mentioning pippo only for his age as at 37 he is not the same player unfortunatelly,or he is only for 20 mins) and we still complain that we want dzeko instead of ibra..borriello has 15 serie a goals in 2 seasons and hunter 7 in his one,we re close to a player that had 25 goals in his last serie a season,a player that won on his own the league imo,and we're still unsatisfied..

we should blame them if they dont get anyone(dzeko-ibra-robinho etc),not for their choice,as they are all gr8 players, the rest is just a matter of taste..

I agree, I think we should be very happy to welcome one of the players we're linked with nowadays (Dzeko, Ibra, sooner, it was Robinho) ...
Each of them has his + and his -, but all of them would be very useful for us, so no matter who comes, it'll be an improvement for our team.

The best mercato in years is this summer ... we should enjoy it !!

Good point M.O.I.

Chelsea and City owners are both richer than than Berlusconi.

Real and Barca don't have owners, but if I not wrong they have both had bigger transfer kittys than Milan for a long time now.

Breaking news: Milan could break the contracts of Kaladze and Jankulovski if no club wants them.

It's on TMW, nothing official of course.
They say it's an undirect consequence of the possible deal with Ibra.

I agree I read that a loan is not possible for Ibrahimovic
