Has everyone forgotten what a goal-scoring menace Ibra was when he played for Inter and Juventus???

Everyone can talk about Dzeko and Robinho, but someone who has proven himself in Serie A already is my top pick. He's still 28 and has a lot of time left in the tank.

This would be a dream signing for Milan at this point...

BTW, how did Boateng play yesterday? I didnt have a chance to watch the match.

MAYBE Man City will allow RObinho to come ON LOAN????????

Best Strikers in World
1. Drogba
2. Villa
3. Ibra
4. Rooney
5. Dzeko
6. Torres

Ibra did NOT play bad last season.. he was injured..and when he played he played well.. and he won El Clasico...
You can't compare players like that. Drogba and Torres are definitively best two strikers in the world in past 3-4 years as PROVED in CL. Villa did nothing in big games. Dzeko did something more than him.

Ibrahimovic and Rooney are two different type of players (second strikers not center forwards) who are complete players, capable to score regularly on their own and also to create. Ibrahimovic is pushed to play CF because of his size and strength, but his best position is behind CF, like he played at Inter little behind Cruz or Adriano.

For transfers, now Galliani is doing a great job (finally!), he's bringing one of the best world players for 30 M. They even found a substitute (Robinho) if Ibra deal fails.

I think if any of two deals goes through, EVERY member here will have to show respect for Don Silvio.

40mil for Ibra makes sense for Barcelona.
With the 14mil from Hunter's sale, Milan only spent 26mil in three years, wages not included. Fair deal.

Mediaset says we could sell Flamini to cover expenses for Ibrahimovic

That would be terrible, Flamini is maybe even our best midfielder

Not necessarily a bad sign either. I certainly wouldn't expect him to walk in and just take a pay cut without giving the matter some thought first. It would have been much easier to say a quick no than a quick yes.

Mediaset report Milan want to sell Hunter and Flamini before signing Ibra.

Flamini is our best midfielder, I am optimistic that this was just a mistake by the website.

It would be awesome to sign both Robinho and Ibra indeed but highly unlikely. Beggars cannot be choosers. Reports say Milan have an agreement with City for Robinho and with the player himself, Galliani has confirmed that Robinho is the alternative too. It would just be great if we sign both of them. What if Ronaldinho gets injured for a month, what do we do then? We still don't have a valid offensive midfielder as a backup (please dont say Seedorf).

We are going to play with 3 upfront, if we get Ibra it will be Dinho, Ibra, Pato... their subs will be Borriello, Inzaghi, Oduamadi (Hunter probably will be sold). We do really need one more sub from the bench that can add something different, has a moment of magic. With Robinho we can have that player and can regularly rest Pato (injury prone), Ibra and Dinho who are 29 and 30.

Am I making sense or am I just asking for too much?

Sorry, still no respect toward Silvio, as he had been treating us(Milan fans) like crap over the past few years. Signing of Ibra or Robinho should happens once per year or once every two years, not once in 5, if Milan is a big club as he claims it is.

Pls don't start with any financial stuff, as if that is the case, both Ibra or/and Robinho should not be targets for Milan.

You cannot have one of Dinho, Pato, Robinho and Ibra on the bench. Yes, there will be injury but what if they are all fit and ready to go, who would you bench.
I think having one of Ibra and Robinho are good enough, with Borri, Pippo, Verdi and even Seedorf off the bench.

Every big team has a great player on the bench, we had Crespo, Gila, Sheva, Inzaghi in recent years.

Can any Spanish speaker translate this? It seems Milan has a "new Messi". I dont know if we just signed him or we had him.

http://www.deportesaqui.com/causa-re...-de-ontiveros/

I understand that we just signed a new Argentinean that's not 16 yet and he is labeled as a new Messi.

I'm not so exited like you guys about this "we will have our star" player this mercato...

Sure, I'm not a fan of Ibra, but I can't deny he fits Serie A style very well. But my problem is that imo, isn't on attack we are losing games. Sure we need a better players alongside Pato, but if it was up to me, I would to spend this Ibra money in 2 promising midfielders.

Not pretending my opinion is right, but I'm more comfortable with a Pato/Borrielo pair in the offense, supported by a talented and capable of running(with the likes Chelseas, Barça's) midfield, than a Pato/Ibra(years away better attack) supported by our actual midfield.

Yesterday game let me even more worried about our mid. We couldn't create nothing against Barça reserves. Of course with a Pato/Ibra pair we would have created a little more, but imo the difference in quality and pace of our mid was enormous. We will not see the color of the ball against the bigs in Europe... and against SEVERAL Serie A teams.

For Berlusconi a Ibra purchase is a lot better, because like we are seeing here, to bring a star generate the type of fuss he needs. But like with Ronaldinho in the near past, it will not give the balance we(and any team) need to win Serie A. Not with our actual midfield. At least in my opinion...

I would only give you Crespo mate.
Gila was not great in Milan.
Sheva and Pippo were often taking turn injured back in the early noughties. While they just can't be starter for MIlan over the past 2-3 yrs due to not good enough.

Agree with you about the midfield.
But as long as guys like Flamini, Boateng, and Abate are playing ahead of the likes of Ambro, Gattuso and Seedorf. The mid is not as bad.
Although I did not see the game against Barcelona, but I thought Iniesta, Villa, Ibra, Pugul, Abidal, and Adraino all started for them. Thats still a pretty strong team.

I agree 100% about midfield. Aldough I DO support Ibra deal as I simply have to be fair and say yes to one of the best CF's in the world that will balance the team for sure ( that is what I expect ).

Alongside Boateng, a player like VdV could do wonders in midfield trio, as our current midfield cannot play vs big teams in CL due to total lack of power. Playing Pirlo-Flamini-Boateng will mean more power but less "mind" and class etc.

Next year priority no.1 is class midfielder, young-old, I dont care

Again I will say that the problem is 4-3-3 which is unbalanced and our best solution next season is to sell Dinho and create compact midfield with Ibra-Pato attack ( in my oppinion absolutely perfect mix ).

But that is next year... This year I expect more COMPACT Milan due to Allegri that is tactically classic italian coach defence-wise.

We have what we have now. If a player like Bochetti can arrive, great. If not, we'll have to give our all and try to win serie a as in CL I do not count on success yet.

Our game will change. It will be a game of Ibra and Dinho holding up balls(passes! ) from Pirlo, Seedorf, Thiago... To PAto, Boateng, Antonini... For serie a its fine, as long as defence stays solid.

One mroe thing. I wish for Bochetti coz Boateng play well as a LM, and Bochetti as defensive player is more suited there then Anto. Who would give more balance on the right.

We'll see. But Ibra, as far as Im concerned, is a great player that will help us a lot in serie a. Midfield is slow, yes, and Silvio bought him coz of the smoke as you say my friend. But that is our Milan!
