@ Elmago, I actually meant to say that only. We need a decent attacking Right Winger for 4-3-3 or a proper CAM for 4-3-1-2.

Pato played on the right wing last season: is he a right winger ? Not at all. If Allegri decides to use him there again, and if then, he plays there for 3-4 years, will he be a right winger ? No IMO.

Robinho is a second striker, he moves a lot. He likes coming from the left, but if he's free to play like he wants, he'll also come from the right ...

So Robinho and Ronaldinho don't cancel each other (and don't forget that Ronaldinho will have to try to be more central this year under Allegri).
I thought we established Ronaldinho does not like nor has he been successful as a number 10 CENTER ATTACKING MID....

I'd love to see him be able to play there, but history does not support that..

Secondly, if ROBINHO plays a 2nd striker, then who's the first striker, PATO?

They both play the same way..they do not compliment each other.. am i wrong?

What is really important to keep in mind though, is that we were within a point of Inter fairly late in the season last year. Had it not been for our injury crisis, we probably would have kept up the pace with them until the end of the season. And that brings me to something that makes me very optimistic about the coming season: We have more squad depth now than we did last year. In spite of all the complaints made towards Galliani for his lack of effort on the market this summer, I can see a strong Milan being built.

We have a better coach than we did last season, and we have Boateng, who is exactly the type of player that we need, a talented young defender in Papa and hopefully a world class striker in Ibra. Dida has been replaced by Amelia and Yepes has come in for Favalli. How is this Milan not stronger than the one we watched last season?

Finally, the main reason I'll be delighted if Ibra joins is that he's practically guaranteed to score a lot of goals. I had a look at his stats today, and he's scored 150 goals in about 300 official club matches. And not just that - his strength and technique make him exactly the kind of player we need up front from a tactical point of view too. He'll be able to create space for Pato, who can then use his speed, and will link up beautifully with Dinho. And that also means that Pirlo's passes won't go to waste like they have for the last three years (yes, it turns out that statistically, Pirlo is still the best playmaker in the Serie A).

I really don't understand this pessimism, especially not at a moment like this.
i agree with everything thats been said here.

unless i missed some news today we will only be getting Robinho if the Ibra deal falls through and cannot be fixed, only then we will sign Robinho, its Ibra or Robinho not both together is what i have taken it as.

Well, guys with this talent and the way they play (a little bit different, Pato can be the first striker I think) can adapt to each other, I see no problem with that actually ...

About Ronaldinho, how many times was he used as a CAM ? It was last year, during the start of the season, when he was in a bad physical condition and the whole team struggled ... I think, after his performances in the friendly games, that he deserves another chance there.

I'm willing to try it.. if it doesn't work you use a 4-3-3..I guess simple as that

Warro Bantan will become famous soon enough
It would be a miracle for both Robinho and Ibra to arrive....so I for one won't even think of that as realistic....

Its a miracle that either Robinho or Ibrahimovic is arriving, so let's not get too greedy here.

i was out so i lost contact for many hours..

my 2 cents, first of all 40mil out of nowhere means that our MGMT is totally craping 2 years now..actually its a proof..

flamini out is a huge mistake right now,as we really lack of any runners in the medfield,i dont believe they're giving him..

but then again ibra seems like a cristmas gift that can change things around..

I for one would like to see Pato given the chance as a centre forward. He isn't a wing forward and, although he did well last season, he made like 0 assists. He could become a great goalscorer if he's allowed to play upfront. For that reason I'd prefer Robinho to Ibra, I think "Dinho and Binho" playing behind Pato is a tad more balanced than a forward line of Pato-Ibra-Dinho. Dinho and Ibra don't move a lot, whereas Robinho is very mobile.

Then we could still have Borriello as a physical back-up at centre forward.

Regardless it's clear that we still have a couple of big holes in our squad that probably won't be filled: fullback and midfield. Our centreback pairing of Nesta and Thiago is probably the best there is, but Antonini is barely good enough to be starting for us (in an ideal world) and Abate, Zambrotta, Ocdo, Bonera etc. are far from it.

And our midfield even with the addition of Boateng (fine world cup, but he hasn't done much to earn a move to Milan) and the promotion of Strasser (too early to tell) is too old and immobile - and now we're selling Flamini to fund the purchase of Ibra? Rather we should keep Flamini and add one more player who can run for 90 mins.

That team is anightmare actually.

Would be overrun in mid by most teams.

Since when did Contreao become a better player than our Antonini??

Also Nesta & Silva play on other sides in defence.

I know that we are all against selling flamini but for now he is the only player that can be sold from MF others I dont think any club are after any player from our MF
