from my understanding, Ibra's salary = 12m + tax(24% in Spain, because he signed last year) = 16m

in Italy, the 12m + tax(50%) would be 24m, however Ibra has lowered his ages in Milan to 8m, which means Milan pays 16m, this basically means Milan pays the SAME amount as Barca paid Ibra, but Ibra gets less than what he got in Spain because of taxes....

Not sure about what I'm going to write, but from what said the last English teacher I had:
- nowadays, there is no real difference between both
- salary is the monthly/annual amount of money earned
- wage is the daily/weekly amount of money earned

This teacher explained us that wages was the most used word some decades ago when people were daily or weekly paid, but nowadays, the most used word is salary.

Given the level of this teacher in English, I'm not sure what he said is right or wrong ...

Salary is taken from the Latin salarium meaning salt which is what Roman soldiers were paid in back in the day.

I'm not sure of the origin of wage.

I think they say on the second draw that Ibra is the one who will have to receive the balls of Pirlo to give it to Ronaldinho who will send it to Pato as he will have open spaces ... Very simple, too simple, the guys in La Gazzetta who decided to publish that probably had too much empty space on their page !!

Juventus look so terrible, Del Neri's strict 4-4-2 is clearly not working, yet all he did was replace his Pepe and Krasic with Lanzafame and Martinez and then Felipe Melo with Sissoko.

Del Neri will ruin Juventus, I still can't believe they sold Diego. Watching this game (trying to do something to pass the time before the Milan game) just illustrates how poor the Juventus choices were. Motta and Bonucci look pretty good, but they are constantly being left exposed by this old-style midfield of with two wingers, which is a dead system, I think. Wingers seem to only be possible in a 4-5-1 these days.

I agree; I always thought Del Neri was an awful coach, not even in the better half of coaches in Italy. It's no coincedence he's failed miserably at Roma and Porto. Absolutely pathetic management for putting the trust in Del Neri. Diego was the best player they had, very stupid by Juve.

So, with 24 mil euros (next year) plus 8 mil per year started this year means Milan paid 24 m (installments) + 16 m (wage+tax for this year) which is 40 m compare to the news spreading in the last couple of days : 30 mil + 12 mil (wage + tax with other 6 mil of wage paid by Barca) which is equal to 42 mil. So, actually it is similar deal with what the news said (30 mil with half of the wage paid by Barca).

I know we're diverting from Mercato now.. now that Season is starting, but I 100% agree. Just watched Juventus play... and they looked simply BAD. No creativity, an old style 4-4-2.. with two defensive minded central midfielders..

Diego was needed...their defense is good.. but rest of team should look like this:

They should have sold some of their crap and bought dzeko...With all do respect for Del Piero (i'm a big fan of his)... I think he's holding them back....

Diego sale was biggest mistake...and probably amauri/iaquinta/del piero are not good enough strikers for that team...

Let's hope Allegri is smarter than Del Neri...

Well, hopefully one of them will this season (Assuming the eventual winner is already managing in Serie A).

Another interesting fact - No English manager has ever won the Premier League. Not going to happen anytime soon either...and no Ferguson and Dalgleish (Manager who won it with Blackburn) are Scottish!
