About Ganso: the guy should be more "needed" than Neymar in Milan, but don't forget his injury ...

People, Berlusconi didnt spend THAT much money! We also sold players for 25mln! That is the price of Ibrahimovic, and we had like 30mln bugdet so...

Anyway, if we do invest I believe the money will be Gazprom's, as some news say. From next year Putin will invest 150-200mln into Milan, which partially will be used for the new circle.

Coates in january, and tuttomercato also says Mexes is our objective since his contract is running our in the summer and Milan and Roma talked about him when Borriello was sold.

I'd also take Ganso over NEymar, in a sec! We have Pato, Robinho... We dont need Neymar. There is also Verdi!

Ganso would be my first option, but the non-eu thing worries me as we can only sell Pato or Thiago from non-eu players! And that is not a good sign.

I would disagree to an extent. There's no guarantee that Nesta will be around next season so why not bring him in while he can learn from the best?

Yes he might be on the bench to start with, but with someone that good there'd be no need to rush Nesta back when he gets injured or needs a rest so he'd get plenty of playing time.

With a CB pairing of Nesta -- Silva and David Luiz & Sokratis on the bench we'd have all bases covered especially as DL can play LB and Sokratis can play RB if necessary.

Just an idea though. Maybe Coates would be better? He'd definitely be cheaper!

And why ?
The non-EU spot is about the number of non-EU you can buy in a season ... Nowadays, it's only one. We don't care about the non-EU players who are already in the team.

If we had 2 non-EU spots each season, we could for example buy 12 non-EU players in 6 seasons and send 11 non-EU players on the pitch. It's an example, of course, it's not possible (but it is allowed) to do so for many reasons ...

If we buy Ganso, I'm sure he will stay in Brazil until July because of his injury. For Neymar, if we buy him, I'm not sure about what could happen, maybe he could also stay there, or he would come in a case of injury crisis in our attack (which would be really linked to unluck because Ibrahimovic, Robinho and Ronaldinho are rarely injured, and I expect Pato to be less injured this year as he has ever been !!).

Don't forget the wages, i think that is what Berlusconi is putting money towards rather than the transfer fees.

We haven't used our non-eu spot yet so we are allowed to bring one in this season (which will obviously now be in the January window if we do get anyone). With this in mind, neither Pato or Silva would have to leave.

His agent mentioned something about his knee being okay.
I think thats one of the reasons Lyon threw him out.

Given our penchant for not going for "injured" players (Cissohko anyone?), I say we probably wouldn't consider him.

I would choose playing the youth as backup compare to that unknown player. For the first time I read his name, I thought he is the player that has Seedorf as his name (Seedorf's brother or relative). If the youth is not good enough, better use Sokratis, Bonera or Abate. Our pundit from France also doesn't recommend him, that what I can summary from GeoTav posts about him.

Have to disagree with uhere as David Luiz needs to play to get better. I also don't buy that players can learn from the best through training, as Senderous, Darmain, Kala, Grimi and others all stayed in Milan and trained with Nesta, And Cap, still none of them are good defenders, they are boarderline solid.
If and when someone like Dacid Luiz comes to Milan, he needs to play on a regular basis and not staying on the bench. Players need to learn from exps and exps means play time.

The part I underlined makes no secnce Geo, Im sorry. I didnt ask that, I asked about Milan buying non-eu player NEXT season. If we do not sell any non-eu players in next season, can we still buy one non-eu player? If not, next year we cannot buy non-eu player, or we first need to sell one of ours? This year we sold Dida and realeased one place.

This year we can, of course, that is not the quetion. Im not for getting Neymar at all, we do not need him. Lets not be greedy people. Ganso is much more needed in Milan, and Essien

I do agree about Pato's injuries, I also expect him to be more stabile this year. Actually now this sounds stupid as I do not know nothing about his phisical state and Im not a doctor who sees him everyday in Milanello. This is just our wish... BUT, Pato is a bit older, maybe it the case as with Messi, maybe.

I think it's just something the agent threw out there in an attempt to get a bit better deal out of Nice. He could be a good player again, though, if he's healthy.
