If there is anyone who has the right to talk bad about Milan, that person is Gila and maybe Hunter in the future. I believe that in order for the player to talk bad, he must perform at a high level after leaving the club. Robinho showed that in Santos and Brazil, while Ibra did not do bad at Barcelona. Actually I think Rioala made matters worse for Ibra.

Anyhow, I would not worry about ex players trashing Milan, as long as Berlu is willing to spend money.
If there is a player who feels that was treated badly is Albertini. Long service playing in high level for Milan and then forced to join Barca.

In my opinion Gila and Hunter were not treated badly.

this is why its called investment
Investment is for clubs who sell their best players for more money than they paid. That's not what I want for Milan. I want them to grow old, win loads of trophies, then move on when a better product is available.

Frankly I always thought Albertini to be slightly over-rated. IMO he always had his hand in midfield with better players, then when he was asked to be more of a leader he lacked the characteristics to do so.

I wouldn't say the club pushed him out like a Kaladze deal or so, more like they guided him to a new pasture where he could still play at a good standard.

Are we certain we secured Coates? (I found out, to my disappointment, that it's pronounce Ko-AH-Tes)

He seems like a really really good player for the future. Very tall and powerful, not slow and with good feet. He scores from corners, too. Might be something special.

you are right, but for a top club investment is buy players to achieve results.

you want them to grow old? like oddo, janku, kaladze and dida ?\

come on don't tell me you like seeing them training hard and wasting space and money!

Of course not. That's why I said to move on when a better player comes along.

Besides those 4 players are products of bad management.

Imo when a players reaches 31 they should be giving 2 year rolling contracts. If they don't produce in the first year it's down to one-year, so they have produce in the next year to get a new one-year contract or it's ciao.

This doesn't apply to players of supreme qualifty who are hard to replace, but to the players who make up the numbers as in the 4 mentioned and others like inzaghi, ambro, rino.

I read an interview with Carlo. He said he came into the dressing room and shouted at everyone (including Albertini). Albertini told Carlo he had changed and then left the club the same summer. He wasn't forced out.

I did always think he was slightly overated, but not that much. He was a good passer of the ball, had an excellent free kick and organised the play very well. I read an interview with the youth team coach (at least I think it was him), who said Albertini was the most talented player he saw come out of the primavera.

Actually, from both Carlo and Albertini, it was a mutual decision. Albertini, at least at that time, did not like how Carlo were treating the team including him, mainly b/c they played together and were close friends. It was more personal than the club. But they still do respect each other and are good friends.

Personally, I dont think players should ever talk crap about their former clubs. Take Kala for example, he got paid like 4Mil euro a year, while also getting the best seat to Milan games, working with some great players, and getting exclusive privileges. What more can you ask for?

SO Luca Antonielli, Parma's LB made his debut for Italy this past game. Didn't Milan used to own him? What happened? More importantly, is he any good?
