That's stupid. We can do that in a Coppa game, not away to a motivated Cesena that gave a hard time to Roma and got a point against them. Be serious and let's not be overconfident.

Also, there are a lot of players ahead of him in the pecking order and it's not fair on them: Bonera, Zambrotta, Abate, Sokratis and Oddo are all ahead of him in the fight for RB.

Damn, so unfortunate Nesta, Seeodrf and Flamini are out. Especially Nesta. Hopefully Sokratis will be up for the challenge. As for Clarence and Flams i don't care too much, we have adequate cover… Gattuso, Prince. Or even our attacking poker. I'm sure that if by minute 65-70 we are still at 0-0 then they will all play.
On a positive note the injured players should be back for the CL game.

I don't think Nesta is actually injured, this is more a precaution because of his hand and the fact that he can't really play every 3 days anymore. Nothing happened to him recently, other than the hand fracture, right?

What's wrong with Flamini? Still the shoulder?

Nesta has an inflammation to the sciatic nerve (somewhere in the gluteal region). Seedorf has some problems with his knees (due to an overload). It doesn't say what Flamini has, so i guess it's the shoulder. [source: La Gazzetta dello Sport]

Let's hope Sokratis is up to the challenge.

Nesta: It's not serious, right? He'll be back for Auxerre?

I'm guessing every one of our 30+ midfielders were worked to the point of exhaustion. Cool.

I'd imagine Nesta is being rested for the CL and Papa will be good against Cesena...fingers crossed.Flams shoulder is it hope he gets fully fully FULLY fit soon.I reckon we'll win this 3-0 if we are predicting again 2 goals for Pato 1 for Ibra and Robinho to start on the bench and Boateng to start.

About Nesta, I think he is rested for moment, but this kind of pain/injury isn't good news.

If I'm not wrong, it's the same thing that made him out for the whole season 2 years ago, and it's the same thing that has made Buffon out since July until January ...

Anyway, that "forces" Allegri to make some rotation already at the 2nd game, and that will allow him to evaluate who is ready and who isn't !!

I thought he was out for all that time because of a herniated disc/compressed disc. Which is a serious problem. Not sure about Buffon's problem however.

An inflammation of the sciatic nerve isn't serious. However very painful (lower back region, right above the gluts). There isn't much you can do except different types of massages and rest. It is a reoccurring problem for many people at different times of the year.....usually during weather changes, mostly hot-to-cold.

I know this because my father has the same problem, so every year during the winter he is in bed for a couple of weeks in pain.

Allegri has said Nesta is out for precaution, but should be fine for CL.

I hope that's true. We need the best team against Auxerre.

But why is NEsta out? What is wrong with him?

We'll see now how does Sokratis play with the line 30-35m from our goal, not only in firm line etc. We can count on yellows for sure

It will be a HARD game, as Cesena play first game at home in serie a etc. We need to be compact. Thank god Allegri is classic italian coach with compact sistem that has balance... Lets see what will Ibra do, I expect our game to be more compact with his hassing skills and holding's of the ball.

Boateng, not Gattuso...

Allegri said that nesta is not injured he is just being rested because he cant play 3 matches in 8 days, and he prefers to rest him for the champions league match alongside with seedorf

Ibra is going to start tomorrow, gattuso and boateng will have a chance to play tomorrow.

btw if you have followed sokratis in the preseason, you would have noticed that he is perfect as a defender, what worries me is his skills on the ball.

I was looking forward to this game, but I wont be able to watch it, none of the sports channels are showing any serie A games, only La Liga and Premier League football is available
