We need to switch things around. I dont see R80 doing anything on the wings. This game second half he had a free role and he stayed more in the middle.

Or R70 can start. I just think R80 lack of speed gets him in trouble on the wings.

Pato should stop dribbling. The only time he should attack a player with the dribble is if the player is 10 yards back but anytime I see him one on one he f's up.

You guys were right about Ibra trying to pass a little too much, His job is to be the assasin he is. And when we start clicking mid OCT. Watch out Seria A and CL.

I hope our Defence wakes up because if that was any other team tonight we would have been down easy 1-0 at half time.

Its not how much you can run in a game, everyone can run in a slowly tempo.
The thing is what you do in the field when your team needs your runs in the important moments.

Overall performance

A very bad game by our team. We didn't deserve the win against a very average Auxerre team. Actually, I'm not sure this Milan can be called "a team" for moment. I never saw as many missed passes in a game as tonight. Of course, after the goals of Ibrahimovic, the game suddenly became easy, but before that, it was painful to watch. I wonder what they did in training between our game against Lecce and the two last games ...

Individuals

Defence: Nesta was very solid, but he was really alone. Bonera isn't reliable in the center of our defence. Zambro was limited IMO and even if he tried to go forward, he was quite useless. Antonini had an average performance, far from what he showed us last season. Abate, despite his first pass he missed (almost an assist for the Auxerre striker, but the referee whistled a weird offside), looked more solid than Zambrotta and went forward in a more interesting way, no dribbles, just running forward (without thinking ) ...

Midfield: I hope Flamini will soon come back !! On French TV, they said he should be ok in 10 days. Pirlo and Seedorf were really average tonight, they tried their best, no problem with that, they ran, but these two guys who are among the best passers in the world I think just played like Serie B players during a lot of time in the game. Ambrosini was very bad before being injured. I was actually happy to see Boateng come in because we needed him more than Ambrosini in this game against fast players. And Boateng really impressed me, he was everywhere !! If it's the way he can play on a regular basis, well, let's make him a starter right now !!

Attack: Not very good, we had no chance to score in first half. A lot of missed passes too, but also missed dribbles. Pato was replaced by Robinho, but any of the 3 guys up front could have been replaced by Robinho. When the Auxerrois started to be a bit tired, we saw Ronaldinho starting to be better. About Pato, he missed a lot of things, but if he had scored the best chance he had (when Ronaldinho crossed the ball), we wouldn't bash him now. So I expect more from Pato, and I hope he will play more forward and in the center (he has to turn around Ibrahimovic !!). Ibrahimovic did nothing until his two goals, so nothing to say, it's funny to see the player who is always bashed for his bad games in CL scoring our two first goals in the competition !! About Robinho, I don't know if he was good or not as I think he didn't do much. However, I was impressed by the way he passes the ball, when we play bad, I think Robinho has to come in because his passes are always excellent.

A lot of work to do yet for our players !!

I am not a Pirlo hater but I am not sure what he did in this game or what anybody sees, even launching attacks from deep others like Ronnie were better, even Ibra tracked back all the way to our box.
Even if you don't agree with what I just said surely its obvious that slow buildups will not win us too many games and Pirlo is not our best option in that sense.

Forgot to mention Abiatti who simply lost his mind at the end by following the striker and tackling him from behind ?!

Don't know what happened to him ...

PS: He was also in a bad position on the header of "pick his name here" (player of Auxerre) who hit the post in first half !!

Boateng was magical, he needs to start, or he will be the most best joker in football world.

I didn't look like an injury but more like a simple substitution ?!

Few things...

Robinho was infinitely better then Pato...HE WASNT GIVING THE BALL TO THE OTHER TEAM !

Abbiati had to chase that guy, would you have liked him to stand there or turn his back to the play to get back into net while the player just takes the ball and shoots?

The struggle of the team is the exact problem we've had for years, there's no consistent buildup of our play to the point where strikers can get involved with the midfielders. It was great to see Boateng get involved on the goal. None of our other midfielders aside from maybe Clarence would be involved in the box like that.

My ratings:

Abbiati - good game
Antonini - bad game, not good enough for Milan, but will do for now. The best of the worst we have.
Bonera - solid performance, but seems unreliable. He used to be much better once before.
Nesta - solid game, not his usual best though.
Zambrotta - better than Abate and Bonera, still not good enough for our formation. I'd like to try Oddo out one last time and maybe Montelongo can show something?
Ambro - So glad he's injured. That's the only way it seems that our 'senatori' to get on the bench.
Prince - Our man of the match today. He played very well, moved excellently, won balls, passed well and was in the 6 yard box assisting for Ibra our first goal, excellent.
Pirlo - Not good enough. Hernanes would have been much better.
Seedorf - Not good enough but was very important connecting the play from defence to midfield to offense. Lacked the final touch.
Ronaldinho - better than last game, but still not good enough. It is obvious that he is a very confidence-dependent player. We saw both Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde today. Unfortunately we see the bad side much more than the good side.
Ibra - very bad performance by Ibra, but he showed some touches and won us the game. He was much better against Cesena inspite of the 2 goals he scored today.
Pato - moved well, tried too much. I hope he is not injured he can be our most important player this year.
Robinho - didn't play well as a team player but you can see he really wants to. Strangely he got tired fast. He has amazing passes and vision though. Excellent player to have on the bench, and after two good performances he will be starting soon but in who's spot?

Abate: nearly gifted them a goal with his first touch. I really don't like him. Very dumb player.

Allegri: good - showed he has balls with substitutions, I just want to know if Pato was off as a pre-caution or cause he wasn't happy with him? However the team did NOT play differently to Cesena and we could have easily gone down a goal in the first half. I don't see any improvements from last game. IMO the team was very bad today just as bad as Cesena game.

What an atmosphere at the San Siro though. Great to hear the crowd roar so loud. Again, I hope Pato is okay he is very important to us.
