One of GeoTav's fave players
Ben Arfa, rumored to come to us before Berlusconi suddenly woke up, scored a very nice goal vs Everton today

A Ganso or Giuliano type of #10 is a much more need right now. Ronaldinho is a joy to watch(at least for 20 minutes a game), but as I said SEVERAL times here, his presence unbalance all sectors of the team. It's time to play Pato at his real position and let him mature... He's our future, not Ronaldinho! Like you, I can't wait to get rid of this 4-3-3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote:
You know what?!?! I hope people in TMW really has a source in this case, but I'm starting to think they read MM in daily basis. Still remember that I "rushed" my take on Jucilei a little bit in the past, because we were out of money, and I saw a amazing potential(and price)on him... At that time "The Blackenbauer"(I love this nick!!) was a virtually unknown even in Brazil... and just a few days after my first post hyping him here in MM, the news about Milan interest started to surface. Strange![]() Heck, a big part of the media bashed Mano Menezes when he called Jucilei last month to Brazil NT. You could see it was pure ignorance... and it's funny now, to see the same pundits praising him and already hyping him for the hunt to the Golden Ball in Brazil. I wish you guys understood portuguese to see how great is Jucilei as person, too. With his life history and behaviour, it's the type of person you want to see succeeding... Let's bring "The Monster" too, Berlusca!!! EDIT: The purchase of Jucilei and another young box-to-box(may the Polli guy) would make Pirlo career longer... ----------------------Amelia-------------------------
Antonini--------Nesta---T. Silva-----------Coentrao ---------Boateng-----Jucilei--------Flamini------------ ------------------------Robinho------------------------ -------------------Pato---Ibrahimovic----------------- I agree.. End this 4-3-3 nonsense.. 4-3-1-2... Coentrao, Bale, or someone else for Left Back.. then put Antonini as RB... Bale maybe too expensive, but this is such an important position in the modern game, and with the way we have looked today against Catania... Bonera and Antonini DON"T cut the mustard... Jucilei,,, buy him and put Pirlo's lazy a$$ on the bench..can you imagine the energy of Flamini, KPB, and Jucilei... I would love it... Robinho can play behind the 2 forwards, or he can be rotated with the two strikers, Pato, and Ibra... Then go out and buy Honda OR Ganso for the trequartista role... R80 has dissapointed me.. I mean against Lecce he looked like the R10 of Barcelona.. but the 3 games after, he's looked very poor.. As I've said before.. with Ronaldinho,, you can ONLY play a 4-3-3.. there are no other options |

Italians are on the bench.. but Personally I'd sell Pirlo, and Gattuso, buy Poli or Palombo, but I'm not going to PLAY Italians just because they're Italian. Nazionale has been Crap since 2006... Balotelli, and Cassano are only players of value right now besides Ranocchia and Bonucci and they're ALL taken... I'd keep Ambro as he's still ok once per week at most.. By the way your lineup is not good... Poli is now a STARTER for Milan? and Pirlo is suddenly a Trequartista?? haha what are you saying? Last edited by Elmago99; 18-09-2010 at 19:09. |

Our mgt always showed they want to keep a Italian core on Milan, and they are doing it. There's no need to be worried, guys. But like you said, to put a Italian on the team just because of his nationality is counter-productive. We really need to come back to form our Italian talent, because the price of any above-average Italian player is ridiculous nowadays... |

I think the problem is the same in Italy and England.
There is less and less place for the young Italian players because big clubs want players who are ready to shine now, not in 2-3 years. So they don't give any chance to the youth, and as a consequence, it looks like there is less and less potentially good Italian players (it's actually worse in England than in Italy as it started before in the UK). Is there less talent in Italy nowadays than 10 years ago ? No, for sure. Each season, there are some new talents in the small clubs and more especially in the clubs coming from Serie B. When you look at Cesena (of course, only 2 games so far), or Bari and Parma last season, you see there are still talented players in Italy and they could potentially be bought, and cheaply. The problem is that we don't look at these clubs, if we buy an Italian player tomorrow, we will for sure look at the players of Sampdoria, Genoa, Palermo or Napoli, maybe Juventus, Fiorentina or Roma, but we won't have a look at the other clubs. And it's in these other clubs that there are the most potentially interesting Italian players. They are just a bit more anonymous because they are in a small club, and it's probably the main reason why we don't get them whereas they could probably make the jump into a big club and shine there. The best example is Poli. The guy isn't really what can be called a future WC player, not nowadays (it can quickly change of course). Where does he play ? In Sampdoria ... And, it's weird, we're interested to get him, if we believe the rumours. If this guy was in Brescia, we wouldn't even know his name. The reason for this problem ? Probably our scouts and management ... They don't want to take any risk. Brasiliero, I remember once you were asking for our management and scouts to take more risks in Brazil and not necessarely choose the most hyped players (for instance, you wanted us to take Jucilei when he wasn't really a player known by everybody: the result is we didn't take him "because his price was too high", I'm sure we didn't want to spend more than 5M for an unknown talent). Well, I think the same thing happens with the scouts and management even into their own country. Taking no risk leads us to have no surprises in our team as we know what can do most of our players.

As soon as we sell Dinho, Gattuso, let go of Seedorf, Oddo, MArek etc. we'll start to look like a TEAM.
Pirlo and Ambronini are players for future's Milan bench. Ambro fights and plays like a lion, while the way Pirlo plays is simply for Monthy Pyithon's (sp? show! Sad, sad football by Pirlo and Seedorf... My fingers are crossed that Dinho goes in january and Milan invests into one good CM like Jucilei or someone, and then we can use Flamini, Jucilei, Boateng, Ambronini as first 3-4 players. Pirlo can play his own "football" now and then. People keep sayinh how Seedorf has something.. has what? Shot? PAss? He has nothing right now. 4-3-3 is maybe possible with Pato on the elft, Robinho on the right, playing the defence, plus 3 super hard woprking players + one class FB at least... Long, long way to go untill we'll see real Milan again... ![]() We have Pato+Ibra up front - lets use it as it should be used, in 4-3-1-2!

We should try out Seedorf in that role right now, but Jucilei (and I've only seen him twice, but trust the analysis of Brasileiro) should be there in January. 4-3-1-2 should be the system, END OF STORY.. We need another left back, and I'm not sure if De Vito is ready. If not, go buy one. Antonini should then play on the right as he currently offers little on the left. Ronaldinho should go, not because he's bad, but because AS WE"VE SAID SO MANY TIMES he can only be used in a static 4-3-3, he doesn't track back, and our midfield is too weak... This is what I'd like to see: ------------------Amelia------------ ---Antonini---Nesta--T. Silva---Coentrao--- ----------KPB----Jucilei----Flamini-------- -----------------Robinho------------------- -------------Pato--Ibrahimovic----------- And for you those that are SOOO worried about not enough Italians.. There are 3 starting Italians in that lineup... And a lot on the bench... IN: Coentrao (or someone of the like), Poli, Jucilei, 1 or 2 other RB/LB's to replace ageing Defence Out: Jankulovski, Oddo, Bonera, Seedorf, Ronaldinho Last edited by Elmago99; 19-09-2010 at 13:08. |

seems we already signed a 18 yr old LB .. good move for the future but we need some reinforcements in the winter. i expect a good cm for this winter mercato and in the summer small replacements here and their - also question why doesnt allegri ever let amelia play.. tbh hes alot younger then abbiati and imo is better abbiati is not impressing this season for me |

Don't have an official list, but found some info at a forum claiming that in the summer of 2011:
Seedorf, Ambrosini, Pippo, Ronaldinho, Nesta, Jankulovski, Abbiati, Roma And in the summer of 2012: (might be significant to us because whoever doesn't sign an extension until the summer might be sold so we don't risk losing them on free) Pirlo, Gattuso, Flamini, Zambrotta, Oddo, Onyewu, Yepes

Not sure how reliable it is, but according to http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/ac.../verein_5.html it's:
Roma, Amelia, Nesta, Jankulovski, Montelongo, Seedorf, Pirlo, Ambrosini, Boateng, Ronaldinho, Inzaghi, Ibrahimovic. This includes loan players obviously. In short, Galliani will have work to do. |

Just for fun...
Some recent footage of our future box-to-box midfielder. Two trade mark Jucilei tackle(and run after the tackle) on this amateur video of the first Corinthians defeat at home in Brasileirão(vs Grêmio). At the final you can hear the entire Stadium chanting his name even with the defeat. The guy played out of this world against Grêmio:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Jxj8bJMBUo Here a amazing play(almost score)when he played LB after Roberto Carlos left the game with a small injure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxouK...eature=related The same play, but from the "Curva" perspective http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flX8MEDQZ1A C´mon, Berlusca... Bring The Monster to Milanello!! EDITED: A little old(against Hernanes), but you can see it´s the same type of play: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_7j0...eature=related Last edited by Brasileiro; 19-09-2010 at 18:00. |
