Hernanes was actually one of Lazio's slowest players. He just knows how to move well and shield the ball and has great vision and technique. For the goal, he burst past Nesta, and that should be worrying. But Hernanes wasn't fast at all, and for the majority of the game we actually had him covered. He only burst into life after we scored and somehow relaxed.

We need more than one player to improve, Robinho, if used properly, can be one of the best players in the world, like Pato, like Ibrahimovic, and unfortunately, not like Ronaldinho nowadays (as he is already used in his favorite position and he fails to perform well). Allegri is going to need to innovate because I think it's obvious we won't be able to play a whole year the way we do ...

I just don't know why fans are complaining so much. The team is playing well & just a couple of missed chances other wise ACM could have won both matches. Also ACM conceded the goal when Abate was down and out, which means defense line is still decent enough to keep clean sheets. Plus the opposition must be given some credit. Lazio seems like a good team & a draw against them away is okay i guess for now.
@ GeoTav: If we replace Iniesta with Seedorf & let Seedorf play in Pirlo's position, ACM will start flying. One player can make a hell of a difference. VdV could have been our catalyst to success this season.

What lead me to the second part. So, you call ridiculous the complains but at the same time talked about chemistry problem?!?! I'm confused... Are we playing at different scheme than last season?? We got a overhaul in our squad?? Changed a entire midfield(a sector needs more time to gel)?? For me is the same 4-3-3, but with better weapons. Ibra is a HUGE plus over Borrielo and the start of the season already proves it. He gives Allegri not only a player can hold the ball and fight CB's up front, but also one that can score/create his own chances and set up teammates. That alone adds value for the (same)team chemistry. Boateng physicality alone, already help more the actual 4-3-3 than any players last season. I can give you a credit here because is the midfield, but not to the point of a chemistry problem. And look I'm not a fan of Prince. Robinho?? Allegri already said he is a bench player for the start... So, no point here. Plus, he used Robinho as a winger, what imo is a HUGE mistake. So, your argument this team needs time don't sustain itself(no offense). We are playing the same guys that played 3/4 of last season at the same tactics, but with a HUGE improvement at CF(it only help the team and don't hurt chemistry) and more stamina and pace at the mid. Sorry, man... I'm not in the "sack Allegri now bandwagon", but can't agree with the chemistry problems. We have better pieces than last season and are playing in the same tactics. Look, It's fair enough to support Allegri, and I know you like to study the game, but right now you're twisting the facts to support the coach... -------------------------------------------------------------------------- P.S. I will not enter in Ronaldinho debate because we are so far in our opinions it will be meaningless. But I was happy to hear Mano Menezes today, and see he's not fooled by Ronnie 15/20 minutes a game brilliance against week competition. Last edited by Brasileiro; 23-09-2010 at 12:59. |

![]() As for the success of the team, well ACM is going to win the league any way, with or without Robinho's contribution But to be honest with you, It some times really makes me sad. Back in 2003-2007, ACM had THE most flair and great personality players of the world, Maldini, Nesta, $hevchenko, Tomasson, Kaka and more.... Even a fiery Gattuso, cool and calm but effective Pirlo and long hair Seedorf were just amazing. Its not like that anymore. TS and Pato are great, but no flair at all. Maybe AC Milan should sign Nilmaar for that matter ![]()

This. Neymar imo is a amazing forward, clearly underrated, but we already have Pato, Ibra, Robinho up front. No need to spend there. So, you confirm your favorites are in front of the team success?! Unbelievable ![]() Last edited by Brasileiro; 23-09-2010 at 14:15. |

Brasileiro, I greatly respect your opinion, but I think that Zlatan has greatly changed the way we play.
The lack of chemistry seems obvious to me, I can't even count the amount of times that Ibra holds onto the ball too long, which caused problems for how we play and what comes next. This is not to say that Ibra is the problem, but that it seems to really make our play choppy and not as smooth as before. I think Ibra is a huge upgrade, but how different a player he is to Borriello cannot be something to overlook, because I think the injection of Ibra has seriously changed the dynamics and tactics that we approach. Leo was trying to find a system in the first few games, and while we may have a settled 4-3-3, there has been talk of changing to a 4-4-2, and even though Allegri has settled on the system of before, I think the similarity is that while there might not be a new system, there is a very new set of players at his disposal, and that means that our attack, which is so important to how we play, is not playing to its full potential. I don't want to pass judgment on Allegri yet, and if I'm honest, I'm a little scared of how Milan is playing. However, I'd really like to see how Milan plays when he has Flamini and Boateng in his midfield, I feel that this is a very important factor that is far more obvious because of the attack's disjointed play. I think if we are still struggling with Zambro as RB, Anto as LB and KPB and Flamini in our midfield, then we might want to see what the problem is. |

What double standards? You don't remember well it seems, because I was the one who defended Leonardo after Inter crushed us by four goals, in fact I had the faith in him until the second time Inter crushed us and after he lost the game against Manchester at home, the game we should win at any counts as we were clearly a better team. To me it's plainly nonsense to ask for a coach sacking after just 4 or 5 games. I'm not getting in Allegri's head, but he played 4-3-1-2 at Cagliari and that's his favorite system. He changed to 4-3-3 in Milan because of Ronaldinho. When you say Robinho is born for AM, that could be in Brazil perhaps, but in Italy at that position you need a player who's capable to track back and I'm afraid Robinho is not the man. Even Kaka was suspect at that position in Milan. In Italy, and in CL as well you need a REAL midfielder, like Rui Costa. Allegri could possibly adapt Robinho for that position but I can assure you that if you'd put him as "1" in 4-3-1-2 right now, it would be as bad as 4-3-3, because we'd still have 3 players staying up and not defending. For Pirlo, I agree with Geo, I don't rate Xavi higher than Pirlo. Whoever thinks it's silly, he needs to look at wider picture. Pirlo has two old and slow players beside him and 3 attackers who don't care to track back and help in defending. On the other hand, Xavi has two young energetic players beside him and 3 attackers who are pressing all the time. Beside that, in Spain he has a LOT of space, you look at him whenever he receives the ball 30 meters from opposition's goal, there's no-one near him in 10 meters circle. You will never see that in Italy. Pirlo carried Italy to WC title on his own, playing with players like Gattuso and Perrotta, with "I'm at the picnic" Camoranesi, who looked like he just came back from funeral. For all the goods, Xavi will never be half of that player. For me, he's is currently most overrated player in the world. Last edited by Revolver; 23-09-2010 at 16:52. |

Pastore was quality today. If he continues in this way, he will establish himself as a player that people will be scared of. Ilicic of Palermo has also been a nice surprise. I saw him against Inter as well, and he seems to be a great player too. Definitely one to keep an eye on.
Also, I wonder why we never gave an extra look to Cassani. A solid RB who is very good a going forward as well. Maybe not WC but definitely better then what we got.
