Can I just say that Robinho cannot replace Ronaldinho, Robinho works when he's a second striker in the 4-3-1-2 that we ended the game with. But he's never going to be a creative force, and I don't think he has what it takes to be the "1" in the 4-3-1-2.

great, we got three points...

did we play well? NO

who played well? Gattuso, Prince, Robinho, Ibra(2nd half only was good)

what we learnt? when ronaldinho was subbed out, we played sooooo much better, its time to .bench him. we also learnt that gattuso, flamini and robinho can be very important when match fit.. we also learnt that abate and antonini are average fullbacks at best and we must buy new ones.

Which is why it would work if we did a 4-3-2-1 with Pato and Robinho supporting Ibra, or Ibra and Robinho supporting Pato.

What we learned from this game is that the problem with our 'senatori' is not that they can't play anymore, but that they can't play more than once a week. Gattuso was really great, and so was Seedorf when he came on. We need to start implementing a serious rotation policy in every position, from Nesta all the way to Ibra.

We were very organized today and Genoa had very few real chances. If we had Pato we could have killed them off at the end, but we still won.

Im 99% he wasnt offside. But I hope you are right so I can forgive him.

A routine win. I watched second half. Ibrahimovic scored a winner (again) with half of effort. That's a little thing called quality up-front we've been lacking all these years. Robinho is great in 4-4-2. 4-4-2 looked very good. Compact midfield, Ibra fantastic at keeping the ball at his feet, Robinho great movement and quick on counters. It's a shame we have so many strikers so we can't keep this formation.

Well, we got the 3 points, barely. Not terribly impressed with our play though.

Positives: Ibra scores again, Rino was actually quite decent today, our defence was better today & we got to see Robinho finally starting (and finishing) a game

Negatives: Again we were too static, it really is riling me up how much Pirlo & Dinho slow down the play and give the opposing team so much time to reorganize. Whereas Robinho was much more incisive and kept the play flowing. We also relaxed a bit too much after scoring the goal and were in serious danger of letting them back in the game.

But all in all, a pretty decent day at the office.
