the bad thing in the 4-3-1-2 formation is not that we don't have a player to play as a center play maker because dinho/robinho/seedorf can do good jobs there .. the real problem in my opinion concerning this formation would be pirlo .. he doesn't have the stamina nor the aggression any more to chase offensive midfielders of the other teams .. our midfield will be exposed from inside like in the man u matches last champions league .. i would love to play pato up front and have an organised 4-1-2-1-2 formation but only if we get a solid deffensive midfielder capable of handling such situation such as essien -diarra - lass- and so on

With a 4-3-3, the "3" in midfield are a lot more exposed ...

One of the things about the 4-3-1-2 is that you HAVE TO get width through the full-backs for this to be effective. I'm not so sure how well our full-backs can provide us with width right now. So that can be a problem for us. But anyhow, it definitely looked good against Parma. I was impressed actually. We fell apart at times and struggled towards the end......but I liked how we stayed compact and kept the ball due to our "possession players" (seedorf, pirlo, dinho, ibra, robinho) were close to each other and were able to exchange passes and roles constantly. Again however, the one thing that didn't work out well was the width.....which was there from the fullbacks, but provided very little quality on the flanks.
About Kaka...I hope he doesn't come back. He was good. He was great. He gave us wonderful moments and created history. But it's over. He isn't the player he was. Actually, he is far far far away from the player he was. There is no point of going back in the past. We have good memories of him and he of us. Let's leave it like that, as if he comes back that might change. I just don't think he can do what he used to anymore. He won't be a good buy for us. We need to look into the future and keep building. There is players out there that are the future. And we need to turn to them. Focus on our youth and buy a couple of GOOD/GREAT players a year. Let's look at Ganso, Jucilei, Poli, Giovinco......focus on Verdi, Paloschi, Hottor, Fossati, Merkel, Albertazzi, Beretta, Strasser, Carmona....etc and others that can be found like in the past couple of years. That's what we need to do. There is no point at going back to Kaka now. That's a finished chapter in my eyes. And the fact is...I just don't think he is good enough anymore. It's not 2007 anymore. It'll be 2011 in a couple of months. Things have changed and Kaka hasn't been THAT Kaka for a couple of years now. I just don't want another Shevchenko case. That's my take on the whole thing.

I think the Kaka issue is rather settled. I can't believe anyone would want him back. Especially after Sheva's experience. Milan sold him for a reason, and I'm sure they've learned their lesson with Sheva. It's time for a young, hungry, motivated ACM like Ganso, Pastore, Honda, etc....
As I've said before, Milan need to sell Ronaldinho, and then release Oddo/Jankulovski at the end of this year. Then, look to make a few purchases: Center Back: Possbilities: Ivanovic, David Luiz Right Back or Left Back: Possibilities: Di Silvestri, Coentrao, Van der Wiel, Ivanovic (free transfer) Center Mid: Possibilities: Jucilei, Poli, Lazzari Attacking Center Mid: Possibilities: Ganso, Pastore, Honda, Van der Vaart Forwards: Possibilities: Giuseppe Rossi, Neymar * I wish we could buy a real talented Italian CB but Rannocchia is an Interista, and there really isn't any other talent out there right now unfortunately.... * We need to get ready to promote Verdi, Paloschi, Hottor, Fossati, Merkel, Albertazzi, Beretta, Strasser, Carmona to replace Inzaghi, Ambro, Pirlo, Seedorf, & Gattuso..... * Lastly, I must say this although many people will not be interested. Living in New York, with some connections in finance, there are rumblings that there could be a 2nd crisis, to that of 2008, a financial crisis, perhaps a currency crisis of the US Dollar, which has been steadily sinking for months. Apparently, even a Devaluation by the end of the year. Something of this magnitude to the Largest Economy in the World, and the World's reserve currency would certainly have affects on the world, particular Europe, and particularly Calcio. I wanted to throw this possibility out there as I do not hear such negative things often, and if the World Economies would sink back into Recession, I think you can count on it that NONE of these transfers would then occur. Anyhow, I hope not, and I hope we can continually improve our squad which is already a lot better than last year.... Forza Milan! ![]() |

As big as I am a KAka fan, I really don't want him to come back, as Ibra will be the key to our attack from now on and all balls will go through him. Thus KAka coming back even back to 100% healthy, will either play like crap due to Ibra being the focus or vice versa. To me I think the perfect ACM for Milan is actually someone who got a great shot outside the box, moves well off the ball, defends and can dribble pass defenders when need. Robinho actually fits that well, except for long shot and defending. To me someone like Ozil would be ideal.

We need to promote only those players who are really ready. If Milan signes Jucilei, Luiz and Ivanovic, which means that we need one non-ru player with a help form one club, we have created a brilliant team.

forget Pastore and VDV, Palermo would never sell him to us and Tottenham would demand something insane for VDV like €30 million if he carrys on like he has this season.

I apologize in advance for diverting from milan transfer policy, but considering the worldwide depression we're in, I thought it was important to consider we may not be spending as much as we'd like in these times, even Man City will pull back. Last edited by Elmago99; 09-10-2010 at 13:09. |

i think Man City pulling back is not to do with the economies of the world its because they get royally screwed when they show interest in any player.

We can go for matri next year when inzaghi might quit career.he is from our youth system, his game style is a bit like borrieli's,he would be a perfect back-up for ibra.

3 rumours on TMW:
- we would offer 20M for David Luiz - the club could offer a renewal to only Pirlo among the players with a contract ending at the end of the year - Lazio would want Nesta to come back to end his career there With these 3 rumours, it looks easy to say the following thing: David Luiz could be the replacement of Nesta next season. Of course, this statement can only be seen as a rumour ... ![]() PS: We're linked with interesting players nowadays, David Luiz, Ivanovic, Pastore, Kaka'. We're in the race for the Scudetto in Serie A. Enjoy the blue sky days !! ![]()

This was always going to be the case. We couldn't have started the real revolution last summer because we can't get rid of the players on contract. Since they're running out next summer, that's when the new team will emerge. We had a unique opportunity with Zlatan and Robinho, and we took it. But this year was supposed to be another year in waiting, like last time. There's going to be some big, big changes next year.
