Brasil vs Ukraine now. Pato just hit the post! Good shot actually. 35 minutes. I am watching using 365.

After that we change our tactics to 4-3-1-2 with Pato and Ibra as strikers with Robinho as trequartista and we will destroy our opponents...
Mate, 30 M for a full back is madness, and it will never happen in Milan.

Anyway, I think many of you should be carried away, there will be no major reinforcements in January. We've already spent 16 M on Robinho, and if we're going to buy Ibra (and we will) we have to spend 24 M in June. I think we need one good side back, but anything above 10 M will not happen. If Cissokho rumors are true, he was a pale shadow of his former self in Lyon, so his price could actually be under 10 M now. That is a possibility I would say.

In my opinion, we have a pretty good team now, we can expect that Allegri will try Boateng and Flamini more and more, because Seedorf and (probably) Gattuso will be useful only every second game after January. There is a possibility that Ronaldinho leaves us, but I don't think that will happen before June, and I think Robinho will be turned into an AM until then.

2-0 Brazil... Pato just scored a very nice Goal.. showed his strength in the box...

Robinho had the assist for first goal of Dani Alves on a brilliant cross. T. silva also doing very well.. D. Luiz too.. not much to do for Brazil's defense...

Hope Robinho plays like this for Milan...

As for January, I agree it's probable we DON'T buy...Especially since we have guys like R80, Janku, Oddo, on our books until June...

I would for sure sell Ronaldinho in January since you'll get nothing for him in June.

Sell R80: I think MLS will pay $7 Million to LA/ €5M + €4M Wages for 6 months
Sell Bonera: €6 M to Tottenham or Fulham in January
Janku, Oddo Wages will come off in June most likely

Then maybe we can think of getting Coentrao..

Just 8M, Milan will pay 24M in 3 years, so next year we'll give Barca 8M but receive 10M from Roma for Borriello, a plus 2M. However, if we still need to pay for Boateng & Amelia if we want them.

By the way GeoTav, what team do you support in France? You're french not italian right?
Last year, I thought Cissokho wasn't that good, anyway, I wasn't impressed, but I have to admit he has improved. I'm actually unable to decide myself if he could be worth a purchase or not for us (I'd tend to say no as Aulas, the president of Lyon, will overprice him) ...

This season, I don't know how he has played so far.

And I don't support any team in France, I just support Milan, Milan and only Milan. I don't watch a lot of football if there isn't Milan in the game. I sometimes do an effort when I want to watch a player we're linked with. The only exceptions are World Cup and Euro, I watch most of the games (but it's also because there are a lot of players to discover).

When Milan doesn't play, I don't think this sport with a ball can be called football: Milan is football, football is Milan.

Probably for a different thread, but how did you become a Milan fan? Being French, I'm quite surprised for you to support an Italian team...

I wonder how most of the posters have become a fan of Milan? I am a fan because of their great history, but also because of the great Italian players at the club's core: Donadoni, Ancelotti, Tassotti, Nesta, Maldini, Baresi, Inzaghi, Gattuso, Pirlo, Zambrotta, etc.... Anyways ...

I hope Milan can manage a good rebuilding period which is surely not completed. It is true we still have to pay for Ibra, Robinho, and Boateng, while we received money for Hunter, and next year we will receive 10 million for Borriello. Then, we have Kaladze's salary that came off, and soon Janku and Oddo's. If we want to buy Ganso or Jucilei, or G. Rossi, or Coentrao, then it becomes very expensive. Yes we need to rebuild, but with Robinho, and Zlatan, as well as Boateng already, we're talking a lot of money...

It will take money to rebuild, but it's the price we have to pay for sitting on our As$es and doing nothing for the past few years. We are finally this year starting to see some changes in our team, with different key players coming in. Before this, our team looked heavily the same as it did for years. But we have to keep going. The club has to invest in a couple of players every summer (don't have to be an Ibra type of signing, but good players ready to step in the first 11) and then focus on our youth and keep building that up. Surprisingly, after a long summer that looked like it was going to be more of the same old disappointing stuff, I think that we may be on the right road to recovery and change.....but the road is long.

Anyhow, here is the plan....

Ivanovic -(there is no way he won't listen to our offer before signing an extension. However it's up to our club to show real interest and make contact. For some reason, i don't think Ivanovic ever really enjoyed his stay in England too much.....struggling to find a lot of space in the first team for a while. And it's not the first time we see rumors of him leaving) If Ivanovic is a NO-GO, then we definitely need to get a fullback. I'm seeing rumors for Coentrao and that's great.

Ganso - This kid is full of footballing brain and ability. Unbelievable talent. I know he is injured until February with a serious injury.....but there is no way this player is not going to go back to his best. There is just way too much ability, talent and football-intelligence for that to even be considered.

*I know you are probably wondering how we can get both Ivanovic and Ganso on the team when we only have 1 non-eu spot per season....but that's just it. We haven't registered a non-eu for this season yet, and we can do it in January. The question is which one to register in January and which one to leave for next season. The obvious would be Ivanovic now and Ganso in the summer since he is injured. But then again...why pay cash for Ivanovic now who is also cup-tied, when you can have him for free in June.
I would go for Ganso now (even though injured) and let him ease up into fitness and get accustomed to the team and Italy. He won't be able to play much, but the important thing would be to get him over here and use this opportunity. In the mean time we'll still have Ronaldinho/Seedorf to carry us for the remainder of the season as AMs (creative force).

Lazzari - a good and solid MF who has been doing great in Serie A for a few years now. We've been linked to him for a while now and will be a great addition to the squad in terms of depth and rejuvenation. Will be a great asset and can play pretty much anywhere in midfield. Should be pretty low priced as well.

So that brings us Ganso, Lazzari, Ivanovic. And we can get rid of Seedorf, (one of)Ambro/Gattuso, and a couple of our useless defenders (take a pick for a couple out of Oddo,Onyewu,Janku-definite yes,Bonera). Ronaldinho is an unknown for me. But there is certainly no space for him and Ganso in the same team (knowing that we'll also have Ibra,Pato,Robinho here too).

Add to that a few of our youngsters (we have to start giving them chances) like Strasser, Verdi, Merkel...and you have a very very rejuvenated and fresh squad.

Excellent lineup but you have to pick between Ganso and Jucilei because you have only one spot avaliable due the non-EU player rule.....

Iran he had a bad game, but we shouldn't take that game to judge him he usually is much better than that.
Don't take it personal, my friend... But it still sound strange to see people praising Fabiano because he's Italian. The guy born just a few Km's of where I live here in Brazil. If he had chosen to play for Brazil, I doubt people would give him the amount of love he get. It appears the guy has no flaws... Plus, until now, he's a one season wonder and his best games were as a "false" FB. Fabiano is a much more project than David, and a Italian passport can't deny that...

Regarding David, imo you're being too harsh:
1- You say he's a bit of project, but the guys is proving himself in Portugal(and Europe) since day one. He came at 19yo and take no time to earn a place at the first-11.
2-How a guy is weak personality-wise become one of the 3 Benfica captains at 22yo?? He's only behing Nuno Gomes and Luizão, two veterans. Sorry, but I can't agree with this afirmation.
3-Regarding inteligence, you say ON or OFF the field?? If you had a chance to hear David talking, you would see he's quite mature and appears to be much more inteligent than the majority of the players of his age. The guy doesn't appear to be only 23yo. On the field he had a problems with nasty plays(harsh takles, elbows), but he already cut it a lot... Besides that, can't see how you claim David isn't quite intelligent...

He played a bad game against Iran, no doubt, but it was just his 3 game for Brazil NT. In his debut against USA, he was very good, and praised a lot. People need to realize very few players display the same level they play at their Clubs at the begining of their careers at Brazil NT. The weight of that yellow shirt isn's easy to handle. Remember, our own Thiago was very bad at his start in Brazil NT and was benched at the Olympics...

That said, David will cust a lot!!! Young, desired, seasoned in Europe...Can't see us in the mix with Chelsea's or Madrid's. Plus, our mid imo is in a worse situation than our defense and I doubt Berlusca will spend a lot on both at the same time...

Mario Fernandes is out(Shoulder injure) since a game vs Santos before the World Cup. It was serious and the guy needed a surgery. I don't know if he's near to come back, but that is a amazing young player. One of the two players that I saw stopping Neymar, Robinho and Ganso at his sector without rely on fouls. Plus, can play as CB and FB at HIGH level. It only matter of time until he come back from injure, and Mano calls him for Brazil NT. After that, the price will go higer...

Diogo is a PROJECT, my friend. He showed a amazing level at under-20 WC but, until now, nothing in the pros. High risk, high regard purchase. I really like Coentrão, but it would be funny o see what Galliani will say of him. He and Marcelo are very similar, but several months ago Galliani said Marcelo wasn't the type of FB Milan were looking for. I always said here that with the right coaching, Marcelo would improve(defensive-wise) as FB, and look at what Mourinho is saying right now...

Of those name you wrote, I would chose Coentrão, no doubt. But not for that amount of money I'm seeing at the press. With 30 Millions, I would go for a Neymar, Ganso or Giuliano type of player...
