Amelia was the only player of note in this game. Our midfield and Allegri....eh, well, absolute waste of air!

Very embarassing indeed!
4-3-3 was precisely the wrong formation to play ... and they said Allegri was a revolutionary new coach bold enough to try new tactics.
This "usual" team of ours - slow midfield, attackers who do not help out in midfield but are potent against weaker sides - was never going to pose a threat to Real Madrid.
Embarassing!

It was one depressing game to watch. I can't help wondering if we had Hernanes, we could have been totally upgraded. Amelia is not bad at all. Bonera is useless and bad luck to the team. Seedorf should stop being rewarded for not running. At least most other players are trying.

I so wanted us to kick Mourinho's ass, I mean, the ass of that ass. Guess Allegri isn't good enough, hopefully yet.

Our team was outrun and outfought. Shows you that faith in youth pays off! And our manager was royally outsmarted and got his arse handed out to him on a platter.

The sad thing is, we're probably going to reward our three gallant midfielders with another start on the weekend, and the game after that, and the one after that, ad infinitum

It's quite too easy for Mourinho. Normally he will get mad when his player wastes a clear chance, but tonight he took it easy as if they were just having shooting practise.

I was hoping for a better 2nd half but our senators decided to take a night off. Except for Amelia, our players from Antonini to Ibra, had that hopeless thousand yards look of a war vet in their eyes.

I would to if I had to run around to try to get open and see seedorf or Pirlo slow the game down or not make a good pass.

R70 made an impact when he came on today. He is fast and skilled. To all the gattuso fans, sorry but he takes the place of Flamini/boateng he's got to go.

We need to play younger and faster..

Im so frustrated. I really didnt think we would win tonight, but getting scored on by pretty garbage goals compared to the ones they missed Im truly hapopy it wasnt something like 5-0 tonight.

Finally a game that can show Galliani and Berlu that we're STILL not good enough. We've fallen off so far that it's going to take another 5 transfers for us to get back..and then a year to build...

Anyone who has a half brain saw this coming. Mourinho played his best squad, creating many many chances yet still being compact on defense... and he exposed Milan's weak midfield and Fullbacks by playing wide, fast, and quick transition..

Allegri's decisions this year has convinced me he's not the right guy for the job. This midfield he fielded was a joke.

By next summer, I want Pirlo, Seedorf, Gattuso, Bonera, Inzaghi, Ronaldinho, Oddo, Jankulovski OUT

*I want Capello or Luciano Spalletti, Van Basten, Rijkaard or Leonardo.

* Then, we must buy a Ganso or Honda or VdV as an Active, mobile Trequartista behind Ibra/Pato.

* Then, use Robinho as a third forward (sub). Then buy Jucilei and Lazzari. An Active midfielder along with Flamini & Boateng, as well as Merkel & Strasser. Think youth and energy.

* Then buy Coentrao. We need a Left Back. a WC Left Back. Antonini, is so limited at LB, and he cannot cross, send long balls. He simply cannot play LB at Champions League Level. We need also a RB as Zambrotta is getting old.

THEN, maybe we can compete with Mourinho's teams. He goes out and buys multiple players who can fullfill his vision. We need a coach like that,,,

Lastly I must add in...

IF IF IF IF Allegri has a sexual attraction to Seedorf/Pirlo/Gattuso so much that he has to play them.... play them ONCE PER WEEK... they CANNOT play 2 and 3 times per week. They're in MID 30's !!!!!!

It really shouldn't be all that shocking that we lost to RM today, guys. Mourinho is a master in the CL and he has a squad full of talented players to go all the way to the top. This man simply knows what to do and how to make his team perform. Allegri made some mistakes but the fact that Seedorf doesn't run on the field has been the problem for three different coaches. Allegri didn't give his best performance as a coach, but i for one can't blame everything on him. Until we get a new set of players for many key positions, we are not going to be the world beater we once were.

OK, guys let's calm down. We've lost because we were fielded against a CLEARLY better team. Full stop. I don't know why would anyone write that childish comment like "Bonera should never play for Milan again". WTF?!

We were outplayed in midfield, they had 5, sometimes 6, midfielders against our 3, in fact 2, because Seedorf didn't bother to track back. He should make everyone a favor and quit football as soon as possible. He can't run, he can't make a quick pass, he even lost his touch, I mean even Gattuso has less problems to kill the ball now. Ronaldinho should be sold in January. Whatever we tried tonight, the ball came to either Seedorf or Ronaldinho and until one of them actually realizes he has the ball and he should do something with it, the WHOLE Madrid team is back and we can't do nothing. We were too slow to defend and too slow to attack. Pirlo was good for his age, of course he can't run for himself, let alone himself + Seedorf. Even in his prime he needed 2 energetic midfielders around him. Gattuso was our best player tonight, it was great to see that even at 33 he can hold ***** Ronaldo in his pocket. Bravo Rino, the true champions are great even when they're old and tired! Defense was good knowing the fact they had almost none cover from midfield. Remember, 4 on Nesta during the first half.

Let's get back on midfield. Many people here are asking why we're playing Gattuso - Pirlo - Seedorf trio again. Me too. But let's take the facts. Gattuso is still our best defensive midfielder. We all know Flamini is/was a WC defensive midfielder. But he never showed it in Milan. Three coaches changed and he can't make starting 11. I'm instantly thinking: Is he really that good?

Who else. Ambrosini?! Gattuso - 10% + slightly better technically and better in attack. But if he's going to attack who'll defend? Pirlo?
Boateng. Energetic player with athletic body and decent technique. But nowhere near Milan level. Since he came in, he had the ball like 5 times with no-one to close him and he didn't knew what to do with it. But, he adds a much needed energy, strength and pace to this midfield. Better play him than Seedorf.

And Ronaldinho, I don't want to comment more, I've said, he needs to go. Robinho should be a starter from now on, he actually wants to help in defending, he moves a LOT better, he can play it quickly...

To conclude, we were beaten by a better team, Allegri isn't at fault for anything, he played the best selection he had, with possible exception of Robinho. We should go for another midfielder in January, because if not, this season will be lost. Or at least try Boateng for Seedorf. At least he'll earn his paycheck.

The coach trains these players, picks the squad and the formation and game plan. He is very much to blame. We have a good enough team at the moment to beat this RM team that we played tonight. I wish we had Silva in defense tonight but aside from that we should of started Flamini and Prince. Robinho could of come on right at the second half. If not start.

Please people stop trying to defend this guy.
