Are we ruined? Of course not. We lost a game we should have won, but we're still in the race and we'll be in it until the end. We can't win every game, we already won 4 in a row before this.

I'm not sure what we could have done differently. Had we scored first, it would have been a different game. Their first goal, it was a mistake by Sokratis and Antonini and whoever left the guy free to cross. The second, it was a terrible mistake by Antonini and I think Abbiati should have rushed to claim the ball in the mix-up. He just stood there.

Ibra needs to be ruthless and Pato has to free his mind, but they worked hard.

Pirlo was disappointing.

Juve worked really hard to close the spaces and they deserved at least a draw from the game, but not a win.

I can't remember a better refereeing performance recently. He was really great.

I guess what i'm saying is that we didn't deserve to lose, but had we some better cover for our injured (non-existent) defenders then maybe we could have done better.

To the people calling for us to sell Pato: Go **** yourselves. It's idiots like you that push the best players out of their teams. You can't expect them to perform 100% every game. You win some, you lose some. Get over it.

You're funny. I still love you though. And I always love your Believe In (fill in the blank of the month) sigs.

Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has opted to treat the 2-1 loss against Juventus with silence.

Berlusconi was in the stands, but his team's performance made for some uncomfortable viewing.

And his feelings were made clear post match as he wriggled past journalists with tactful answers.

Although his response was short, the president was visibly irritated.

"When you win you speak, but when you lose then you stay quiet, especially when you lose like we did tonight," Berlusconi told Sky Sport Italia.

Maybe mummy and daddy didn't raise you right, you should go learn some manners and learn how to talk to people. Your attitude disgust me.

About Pato, yeah obviously I was pissed for his two pathetic games in a row, and I don't want to sell him yet because I think his value can go even higher. Maybe after a season he scores 30 goals we should reconsider his situation.

okay to start with,we all know that our full backs are not acmilan material, not talented or qualified and generally really limited players..but today our problems were not that simple defensively..

its too easy to start blaming players that you already know they're not good enough.the thing is how to minimise the problem..if you have high expectations on them you should propably just lower them.our problem today tactically was the TRANSITION game(defensive),we can use the game tape learning people what happens when a team has no defensive transition at all..

all our defensive problems(not only the goals) happened because of slow tranistion of our medfield, juve played on the counter every single time they got the ball..boateng did everything he could to help them,he played on the left not marking, exposing antonini who had to deal with 2 players most of the time, made rino running for 3 players(gr8 performance again),and of course as somebody already said took robinho many time out of his place because of his will to play o the left..

when you have to defend against more opponents then its sure that you'll be exposed not being able to cover your teamates or even the space as you should.and when you know that your defence is one man show then its amateur not forcing medfielders drawing back faster..

allegri's choice to sub boateng was more than correct, but seedorf has obviously lost his football desire..pirlo was pathetic today,he has been one of our bests imo this season but sometimes he makes me feel he is so older than he really is,he is 31 for the love of god(!!),he CAN run,but the worst part is that he was worse offensively than defenively today..

pato was a pure idiot today, destroyed many chances for his ego,but lets not overeact, selling him now would be like throwing away all the effort of a big comeback..
ibra tried a lot, created chances and circumstances but he has to finish better,it has been his biggest problem since his ajax years.

on the other hand we were good today,we desreved to win not even draw, but considering that we played against an opponent that played without krasic, chiellini, iaquinta, even buffon and others, then we shouldnt be that proud..

If Leonardo could win games with only Ronaldinho, and finish fourth. Another Coach should be able to win the world with ronaldinho, robinho, pato and ibra.
As soon as Allegri is gone, Milan will triumph again.

So, to the Pato fans, please tell me, how long do we have to wait for this kid to grow a brain? Chicarito and Aguero are about the same age, but play with more awareness and intelligence. The only thing he has going for him is his pace and finishing, but if he doesn't improve his non physical attributes he will never really advance as a player, and once age and injury hits, his physical attributes wane he will be useless.

Another thing that annoys me is how everyone only seems to focus on physical\technical talent of players, hence all the rage about every single new brazilian "wonderkid". Nobody looks for completeness in a player, technical and physical ability is just one aspect of the game and at the highest level is not really the most significant aspect...there are other equally important attributes such as team work ability, intelligence, discipline, awareness, positioning, vision, work rate, ability to read the game, constancy, efficiency, effectivenss(end product)...you get the point.

Our lost recently basically are:
1 The unbalance of our defense-Midfield-Attack System:
Leonardo told AC Milan we need the balance last year. And we still invested in the front,
and signed the renewal for the old defence players.
2 Too Old and No energetic.
3 The coach obeyed to the boss like a dog, and he does not tell the boss what is good to AC Milan. He ONLY did what the boss prefered.

You compare to win games like Leonardo with to win the world? Come on, what is the correlation? Did Leonardo do something really good for Milan last season? No! Win games with Ronaldinho and win the world when you get Robinho and Ibra? LOL

Hahaha

Ok Pato hater, may I ask you? Who is Cicalicoto? What he has done? How can you compare unknown player from most overrated club in the world with Pato?

You can't judge players only from few games. With Pato we have to be patient. He didn't play many games with Milan since he was very often injured. Give him times, he is still so young.

We lost and it hurts but doesn't mean we lost control of our objectivity.

An odd match which really was an undeserved loss. We weren't that bad, but made enough mistakes to lose against a very poor Juve side.

We started superbly, much like Napoli where the lines were tight and we prevented Juve from building anything. We created numerous chances and didn't take them, coming closest with Ibra hitting the crossbar. We generally played 4-3-1-2, but we generally had a forward looking to attack wide areas, where Juve were weak.

It was completely against the run of play that Juve scored, with Sokratis again most at fault for the goal. Before Juve got the ball, he had a chance to clear the ball and fumbled around with it, eventually putting it back to Abbiati who was under pressure. This resulted in Juve getting the ball back and getting it wide. When they crossed, Sokratis was marking Quagriarella, but lost his man and Antonini tried to pick him up too late.

After conceding we lost our way completely, with our game slowing right down and us dropping too deep when defending. Our attack also pretty much stopped defending staying high and Boateng also lost his tactical discipline, pushing right up but leaving huge holes behind him. That said, towards the end of the first half we attacked the Juve fullbacks and the result was two guilt edge chances for Ibra who missed both.

Allegri changed system for the second half playing a more direct 4-3-3. Ideally, we'd have seen attacks built through the left (against Pepe) with crosses coming in for Pato and Ibra to attack. Instead, we maintained relatively slow in moving forward and often attacking through the right with Pato stuck out wide.

Ultimately it resulted in nothing but us conceding a second goal. Again I question Sokratis as he was completely missing from the action (where was he?). Antonini misjudged the flight of the ball terribly and let Sissoko through. The thing is, even after that we had chances to clear but failed to react quickly enough, resulting in an open shot for Del Piero to score.

After that we did attack through the left and created numerous chances, with Ibra finally taking one. It wasn't enough and we lost.

There were 4 key problems for me in this game:
1) Firstly, our lack of high pressing after conceding was concerning, as this was unnecessary and prevented us building any worthwhile attack.

2) Our lack of pace going forward after conceding was another issue. We slowed our game down far too much making life easy for Juve.

3) Our lack of quality in defence. Thiago missing is a huge loss and Sokratis is failing to adequately cover. Our fullbacks are also suffering, as Thiago and Nesta usually cover for their mistakes.

4) The fact our attack stopped pressing and helping after conceding. It's not the first time and probably won't be the last, but we can't keep on having this.

Players...

Abbiati - Odd moment where he could have done better, but had little to do and can't be faulted for the goal.
Bonera - Generally poor game before getting injured. Struggled to cover Martinez and Del Piero
Nesta - Our most competent defender and important in the team.
Sokratis - Poor again. It's worrying to see his form and it's notable that in the 3 games he's started this season, he could be faulted in a big way for every goal we've conceded.
Antonini - Very poor defensively. Left the wing open and stuggled to read the game well. Not too bad going forward.
Rino - Decent game overall, solid and hardworking. Weak on the ball but this is a known fact.
Pirlo - Poor game. He gave away too many passes and was weak defending. Improved in the second half.
Boateng - Very poor. He lost his tactical discipline throughout the match and wasn't an imposing presence in midfield.
Robinho - didn't turn up for the match until the last 20 minutes. Poor overall.
Pato - I actually thought he had a half decent game. He linked up well with teammates, but looks desperate for a goal right now. Personally I'd like to see him staying high on the shoulder of the defensive line, which he isn't doing in the last few games.
Ibra - Very poor. He should have scored 4-5 goals with his chances, yet only managed 1.
Abate - Did quite well after coming on for Bonera.
Seedorf - Uninspiring outing coming on.
Pippo - A couple of moments, but wasn't able to capitalize.

There'll be a lot of blame on Allegri's shoulders for this defeat, but tactically I don't think he made any real mistakes. He started out with the right gameplan and adjusted to attack Juve's fullbacks, which was the right idea.

Why didn't he use Flamini instead of Seedrof? I know Flamini is a DM but Flamini could be also very helpful in attacking.

Let's be honest, Ronaldinho isn't an AM, neither is Robinho, so the sooner Allegri forgets about 4-3-1-2 - the better. Sneijder type of AM would make us one of the best teams in Europe. And get rid of Antonini please.
I agree. I think we really need kind of player, attacking midfielder. We need creativity. Pirlo can't do it alone.
