I was just as pessimistic about last year's game at the Bernabeu as this.

Poll on goal.com asking which of the four strikers (without Inzaghi) should be left on the bench for the Real game gave this results:

Ibra 14.9%
Ronaldinho 25.73%
Robinho 25.73%
Pato 33.64%

Zambro Nesta Silva Antonini
Flamini Gattuso Ambrosini
Boateng Seedorf

My prediction: ACM will win comfortably

Are you joking or are you just trying to be annoying?

Some people are dreaming of fielding Robinho R80 Ibra Pato together and you field none of them

Personally I'd try R80 + Robinho supporting Ibra. Those two can start fireworks on the left flank if they play together. I'd keep Pato on the bench and bring him on for 2nd half and can use his speed to kill the Real defenders. The christmas tree has brought us luck in the past.
I see what you fear but here is the problem. Andre Pirlo's contribution is not necessarily superior to any of the four forwards. Defensively or offensively. So why not sacrifice his spot for a more creative forward? I can see why and how a player like Ambrosini should start at the expense of a forth attacker-clearly he provides solid defensive steel. but I cant see why Seedorf or Pirlo should. I am all for sacrificing the forth attacker if the replacement is justified. Playing with only three attackers who dont have a strong LB and RB support makes very little sense. You are never going to score against Mourinho like this. Too predictable too easy to shut down. On the other had the fourth attacker gives Real Madrid Midfield and Defense something else to worry about. It is very difficult to shut down the four. This in itself is a very important part of defense. It is Very super easy to shut down just three. All you have to do is make sure there are more than three defenders inside the box.Its been done over and over again. Most recently Juve Did it.

Also keep this in mind.. Real Madrid will not hesitate to play with four attacking players. They always do. To add insult to injury, they also have a left back and a right back who join the attack and make solid contributions offensively. What are you going to do with three attackers with no r/l back?

Im really worried about this game. I hope we win of course but I have no faith in Allegri.

pato on the bench is a good Idea. Sitting next to Dorf.

what's the point mate... the best thing about games of this magnitude is the adrenaline and pressure, the screaming and the nailbiting.... taking out the suspense of it - it's not the same beautiful sport I fell in love with

Keep the faith boys, and keep in mind we did dominate the game after conceding two goals. If we start off like that and catch an early goal, who knows maybe we are the ones that can thrash them?

Rossoneri siamo noi.

Yes, we have the ability to beat them if we only give 100% of us (ability and motivation). I am still optimistic about tonight game. Big concern only in defence. So, our striker must use the chances as efficient as could be. Against Juve we should win if our strikers especially Ibra finished 50% of the real chanches he got.

Lets just face it, ACM can't over run or beat the Real midfield by playing Pirlo and Seedorf together, so just put all the hard workers there and try to stop Real. Then since we are at home, so definitely ACM will get 2-3 chances to score and I am sure Inzaghi won't miss unlike Ibrahimovic.

ACM has lost games with them recently. Lets try things without them and by the way, even at 37, I believe Inzaghi would have finished the chances Ibrahimovic got against Juve.
