its like each of our players form is getting worse and worse and worse....
Zambrotta my oh my...if not for Di Maria's stupidity he should have been sent off and given them a penalty. He did the same thing last year and got away with it. |

Very good game from us, I'm proud of the team and Allegri.
We were playing against MUCH better team, the team that is world-class on almost every position, with the players like Abate (below-average), Zambrotta (average), Ronaldinho (dead) and Boateng (tactical DISASTER). I'm proud to say that Allegri got better of Mourinho tonight. He totally outsmarted him with Mourinho looking naive with his defensive line high. If only Ibra is better finisher and Pato is little more experienced. Our team was STRONG on the ball, brave and full of running. But, you simply can't win a game like this with two 100% chances missed. On a positive note, Pirlo was great tonight, he didn't lose a single ball, he was at his best defensively, and he made that textbook first touch at the end of course. Gattuso was great again, I just can't understand where that player was last season. Although he lost his speed and energy, his tacking and positioning are still second to none among midfielders. And Inzaghi, I'm just going to say: The greatest goalscorer in the history of the game. On a negative note, Ronaldinho, though with the ball at his feet the best player around, is walking dead, he just can't run anymore. Ibra doesn't fit in 4-3-3. As simple as that. Side backs are disaster. Boateng should grow by at least 5 years tactically to play at this level. |

Totally agree. The moment Gattuso left was very emotional, remind me of 3 year ago when we beat MU 3-0. We are now much weaker but the spirit still alive. |

Which is exactly the reason why Allegri took him out and sent Pippo in. I myself would have preferred Robinho but in this case he made his gamble and let's face it, he won it! Pippo's skill with ball is far below Pato's, but as your post pointed out, during his 20 mins on the field he caused much, much more troubles.
Anyway, I think some criticisms here are too harsh. I was yet again disappointed with the way we play, especially in the first half. But apart from Dinho's inclusion instead of Binho, I agreed with Allegri's starters. And as I said above, he made up for it by sending Pippo in. Secondly, luck had nothing to do with Pippo's first goal. Mistakes happen, Nesta was too late to set up the offside trap, Pepe fell; and while both proved to be fatal, it still required some instinct to put your place at the right place and at the right time. It's damn lucky if you score like this two or three times, but not when you score most of your 300 goals (70 in Europe) this way. Lastly, Abbiati was anything but crap tonight. From the diagonal angle of the box Leon could either shot or crossed the ball and Abbiati must be ready for both. That's why the ball went in through his legs. Just like our 1st goal when Casillas tried to anticipate a cross (which is what most players choose from that angle) from Ibra instead of a shot. Besides, Abbiati produced some fine saves tonight, and didn't make any mistake (compared to Casillas' mistimed his run out that allowed Ibra to lob the ball).

Yes Gattuso rolled back a years with his performance tonight. I was disappointed last year by many members here bashing Gattuso after every game he played, even when he was good. It looked like they've forgot who's Gattuso and what he did for us. For those who forgot, this night was a reminder. His substitution and standing ovation from San Siro was the most beautiful moment of our season so far. Thanks, Rino.

OK, I respect different opinions from mine, I agree Abate wasn't that bad tonight, but at this level he's below average player. I see Marcelo who's apart from pace nothing special really, he was beating our players several time with his runs. Abate, though as fast as hell can't beat nobody. He just plays the ball to the nearest team-mate or kicks it far away from him. Just like Antonini. The only difference is Antonini is not afraid to come up.

i disagree man. it was a very bad game from milan. I think real had in control all the game. Pirlo coudn' t organise well, boateng was a disaster, pato and roni had to stay home, ibra was herlpless, only gatusso and pippo played today. Allegri was lucky to get the result (first goal error from Casillas and second offside), and we say result even though was a draw... Allegri maybe become a great coach but had to find the dna of this club, he has already played 13 games and we don't know witch are the regular 11. we don't have a stable team, and i don't think is doing this for the rotation... |
