What a great night it was yesterday. Beating inter is always nice, and its even sweeter to see how rafa ****ed them up already. that team is a lot worse then Mourinho's inter. I really believe scudetto could be ours this year
Oh and how great was it to see Matterazzi being the loser of the night, responsable for the only goal and taken to the hospital, good stuff

More importantly, football has changed. During Carlo's time at Milan, football and particularly his side was reliant on individuals within a team. Allegri's approach is more systemised, meaning it's about how the group works as a unit rather than playing to an individual's strengths. I also think Allegri is better than Carlo to using individuals to their strengths. Ambro under Carlo was asked to constantly drive from midfield and be essentially a 2-way midfielder, which he can do (...well) but is inconsistent in the role. Likewise, Rino's was asked to be more involved in build up, whilst with Allegri he's used as nothing but a destroyer. |

![]() Sorry man, kidding. OK. One of the most intense derbies i ve ever watched. Not exactly sexy football stuff but it was a freaking roman arena down there. During the second half everybody was Kung Fu fighting and Ibra was fast as lightning. And trust me. The Ibra - Materazzi showdown will go down on Madonnina folklore history. By the hand of the Swede, justice was served for dozens of decent and innocent football players who have suffered under the thug. Just ask Sheva, who maybe watched the game last night and maybe smiled a bit. Materazzi on a stretcher? Well, bummer... OK. At first i was outraged with Pandev. Then i went mad with Abate and kept calling him stupid but when the game ended i was happy that we won and Abate stood his ground against the inter dudes. Go figure. Truth is Antonini acted like a man but also like an idiot. I mean you got a yellow card, right? I know it's great he didn't stay down after Pandev pushed him to act like he's been shot but he could have walked away and we would have won the thing kinda cruising. I was watching the game with an Italian friend of mine, Milan fan himself and he said: "Come on, if i was Abate i would do the same!". Maybe he is right. But still, he is not getting a ****load of money to play for AC MILAN and he aint a pro footballer. I mean, you wanna play tough? Look at Ibra. Having said that and being 6 points ahead, i think i can live with the fact that Abate went all Charles Bronson. Well, that's the stuff these derbies are made of. And we played good. And we re gonna win this scudetto if we stay focused. And if Pato, well let's not talk about him right now... |

![]() Whatever you want to say about Abate if he deserved a yellow for that then Pandev deserved a red. I know it happens in football like this all the time but Pandev started, provoked and did the first push - really the only hard push...so red.

You are right. I think Pandev deserved a red card as much as Abate deserved a second yellow. There might be no excuse for his behaviour but i can fully understand him. It's a derby after all.

Ibrahimovic will not play with Sweden on Wednesday to get a rest, which is good news ... The NT coach said he would have played if it was an official game but like it's a friendly one, he can rest.

my friend in Italy told me its in the news there that when been sent off Abate went to the locker room and sat and cried, i like that he did that if true, people might see this as weakness but i see it as he actually gives a fcuk about the team, hes a fighter and has spirit, chin up Ignazio!

About Pandev vs Abate, I ask you guys who (from all our playersr except Pirlo and Inzaghi) wouldn't do same thing like Abate did (reacted to push Pandev back or so) with same condition: that player has alreadyYC? We have to remember that Pandev pushed Abate hard, it's not a kind of push like Abate did to Pandev. Don't say Ibra, he will definitely do AT LEAST like Abate did, I am sure though that Ibra would do harder and more crude. We have seen how Ibra reacted on the games to unfair situations happened to him, yet to such so cruel push from opponent.
The situation was not that Abate react excessively after Abate had been tackled or so. He reacted NORMAL after being pushed till he fell down. Even Ronaldinho would fight back if someone did same thing to him. Remember what Nesta did when Boateng got problem with opponent? Would Nesta stand up and stay away from Pandev even he already had YC? I am sure he wouldn't. He would do AT LEAST like what Abate did. What Abate did is not like he punched Pandev but a NORMAL reaction to protest what Pandev had done to him.

Look at 2:18. Abate only protested what Pandev had done to him. Abate didn't even push Pandev while Abate kept protesting Pandev.

It looked aggressive but Abate did nothing, he only wanted to get clarification, wanted to protest or like that. NOT MORE. I now can understand why he kept ignoring his friends when referee showed him yellow card. He just can't accept the decision from referee. He was right and didn't deserve card and he wanted to show it with his anger.

Abate should not show his fist like that, I thought he wanted to punch Pandev.
The ref could think Abate's action was very aggressive. |

That's the only reason I can understand. I also assume that the ref and linesman didn't see when Pandev pushed Abate. If one of them saw it, surely Pandev would get red card.
Pity for Abate since he has been playing well including vs Christiano Ronaldo and vs Eto'o (Abate only failed in starting minutes until he got YC but after that he was solid in his position). Positive thing for Abate is that the incident can make him mature. I started to like Abate because he seems willing to learn to get better and better even for something that he is not good at it (to be a good fullback from originally an offensive one-side winger). ![]()
