Winter Mercato 2011

I think all of you are forgetting one really important thing. Barcelona played like a team or should I say played as one player. Watching last night game, it is like playing Barcelona on PES 2011, as all the players know where to pass the ball to and where to run to receive the ball. Something that I have not seen since the ManU of 99. Yes, guys like Xavi, Iniesta, Messi and Villa were great individual talents, but they played like a team.
You can add Bale and Maicon as FB, with Hernanes, Jucelei and Essien in midfield and Ganso or Honda as ATM to the current Milan sqaud and I still think Barcelona will win-unless they have an off day.

As much as I hate Mourinho's gut (thus enjoy very much this humiliating defeat), I have to admit that one scary strength of Mourinho is that he is very smart and learns quickly from mistakes. I am afraid that he will come back even stronger.

Imagine Barca against Milan of the late 80s. Rijkaard+Ancelotti against Xavi+Iniesta, Marco+Gullit against their defense, or Villa+Messi+Pedro against our legendary back four. Must be one hell of a game.

Surely this team has a chance of winning over the two legs in UCL knock out stage. The 3 DM is the key.

Barca's win should be commended, but the media are getting ridiculous with how much praise they give them. Goal.com have now got an article about Xavi being the great CM ever. I've read some BS over the years, but this is beyond belief.

Xavi --- A little man with very less physical strength against huge defensive guys most of the time & comes on top 95% of times

He had more influence in winning the world cup compared to Zidane in 1998. Has won Euros Championships, several La Liga & other competitions & if it wasn't for Jose Mourinho, he would have had 3 UCL medals by now. Now all these achievements are good enough to declare him one of the greatest of all time. Okay i don't agree him being the best CM of all time, but he surely has already surpassed Zidane & Pirlo. Maybe Platini is better, but who else? Maradona, Cryuff, Baggio & Figo were different type of players, L.Mattaus, Davids & Deschamp were defensive beasts, so Xavi has not many players as direct rivals.

By the way, who do you think is best CM of all time?

Are you kidding me? I read some where, he is getting married in one year time, which means he is already in love with someone. He is marrying in such young age & not late. Marrying after 30 is just formality & for kids. Marrying now means the guy is already romantic in nature.

Note: He can be considered the second greatest of all time at max (ahead of Maldini if you like), because no one ever will surpass DM10 & that is the bottom line of the beautiful game.

Platini was an over-rated french turd playing for a team of cheats at that time too in jube.

Messi vs Zambro is at least 3 goals a half.

Xavi is techically a better passer and has more vision, but lacks the drive or versatility of players like Mattheus or Rijkaard.

Davids was better technically but lacked the vision or longevity to be better.

Iniesta is imo a better player than Xavi.

Mzk is it possible to adore players by only watching youtube players,, i mean no disrespect but to have platini, cruyff, rijkard, matheus, maradona as favorite players means you were watching football since that time,

First of all whats the point of your post? Old players are not great or Youtube sucks? Secondly there is something called TV & then there are TV channels & some play sports & football. There are documentaries & DVD's etc & ofcourse there are video sites.

Now if I like Maradona after watching matches of 1986, 1990 WCs, highlights of Napoli vs Milan, Juve, Inter etc, then what is your problem with it? Similarly highlights, videos of Euro 1984, WC1990, WC1974 could make any football fan a Platini, Matheus & Cryuff fan respectively (I am not btw). Dude don't through pointless posts just to impress, you might look stupid especially as most of football fans do you use youtube & similar sites to watch football matches highlights these days.

And btw, youtube or not, Metarazzi is a very good player & will be remembered as the one who scored the goal for Italy in WC final.

I'd say Dragan Stojkovic was this good but the injury and Marseille scandal stopped his carrier.
