Cassano never admitted that he said those words, all other Samps players who were present then mummed when asked about it, and Garrone didn't say anything except that the words were "too harsh", so we may not know exactly what really happened soon. But you couldn't say that to the guy who revived your career, could you?

They don't call him Peterpan for no reason. The boy from Bari many of us admired has grown old but sadly he never grows up!

If Peter Pan can be cool for two seasons, play well during that time, before being trash again (but in Milan, he would be with too many NT partners/former NT partners to lack respect for the team, club, etc), that will be enough, then we'll sell him to Bari and take a new player ... or give more room to Simone Verdi and other current Primavera players who will turn into WC players !!

but thats not the whole story is it? Cassano told the club he wouldnt be attending a team function and was stopping at home with his wife and son instead, Garrone then went to training and called Cassano out on not attending the function and thats when Cassano flipped and verbally abused him.

Just saw this on twitter, don't know if it's true or not but still

That's what I heard too, mate. It might be just a team function (a ceremony award if I'm not mistaken) after all, a minor breach of contract if any at all, but let's take a look at the verdict. Neither "won" it: Garrone didn't get to rescind the contract, but whatever Cassano had done it was a big enough mistake to sanction him a cut of HALF of his salary until his current contract expires.

He did cool off for two years (his personal record I guess ) because he played most of the times, something that he won't get with our abundance of quality attackers now.

Also somebody mentioned before that we can always sell him to other club, and since we only need to pay 5 millions for him (didn't we buy 2-3 Inter youth players early this season at the same price?) we might even end up pocketing some more money. The idea did appeal to me, but I don't know, it looks like a dirty tactics to me though it doesn't break any rule. Either we buy him because he's good or don't buy him at all.

On TMW, there is an article about Cassano. Actually, he was in a TV show, he admitted he would like to play in Milan as it's the best club in the world with Real Madrid. They offered him a Milan shirt with the #99 and his name on it, and he said it would of course be a pleasure to play with such a shirt ...

Anyway, the fact that Nesta and Inzaghi talked about Cassano speaks for itself ... They even used the non-conditionnal tenses by saying things like "in Milan he will change his behaviour thanks to the old guard" ...
