Unless Santon is out of contract, I just don't see him in Milan. Same goes for Pastore. Ido have a strong feeling that David Luiz will be a Milan player sooner or later.

Agreed. Zamparini and Moratti would rather kill themselves than selling us another decent player.

David Luiz is one of the best CB's on the market even though he is expensive, we have Papa, Bonera, Yepes, Onyewu yet noone of them are solid. we need a world class defender also considering Nesta's age, status and injuries, we need to make a great purchase to defensive department, same goes for Wing back. Coentraro. i see us signing one of them. but it will be hard.

Sorry, gregorio... Never saw this kid playing. There´s much talk here(and in Europe) about him, but I couldn´t catch a single game yet.

There´s also another kid at Internacional people are hyping a lot(can´t remember the name), but as Piazon, it´s hard to get a game. Clubs here are doing everything to hide their kids, at least until some of our laws change...

Good News of today's loss to Roma is that now Galliani should really make some phone calls and sell Seedorf and Ronaldinho....buy Ganso/Honda,, and Coentrao so Antonini can have a nice warm spot on the bench next to Onyewu....

cassano or geovani dos santos and they will get a defender who can play fullback and center back. i would prefer they get coentrao though.

Antonini's drop in form has been unbelievable this season, while on the other hand, Abate has really matured. We do need quality LBs if we wish to win anything major this season. This past summer has been exciting but only for the final few days. We still have a lot to do.

Coentaro to me is a great Wing Back and not a full back. As I said countless times, fullback is only the icing on the cake as you will never see a wingback dominate a game or as a focal point of the team no matter Ho food the wing back is. Just look at Cap when he was young, Milan won not bc Cap was the best LB in the world, they won bc they have the best midfield and attackers like MVB.

Point is that, the team needs another All around midfielder, another CB who can also play as FB- D. Luiz or Santacroce, an exp. Striker to come off the bench like Crespo and a spark plug off the bench, someone who skills is completely different from the starting 11, Cassano can do that.

The thing is, if Pato is healthy, he will be playing in Rbinho's spot, thus Robinho will be the spark plug off the bench. Flamini might not be a creative force but his box to box running is exactly what Milan lacks last night after being a goal down.

To me, Milan needs to sign a defender, a midfielder and an exp striker in Jan if they wNt to challenge on both fronts. Not someone like Cassano, unless Dinho is leaving and he is willing to track back to defense.

Theoretically, if R80 leaves in January, that would mean 4m wages saved (8m net), considering no buyout fee. We also are getting Cassano for 3m per season, so that means 6m net per season, and thus 3m net per half season... thats 5mil profit by swapping Cassano and R80. However I have not taken into account any buyout fee of Cassano or sell out fee for R80.

Our non-eu spot is still free! I dont know what happened to the rumors of us wanting to sign Coentrao and Luiz, we were very hot on their trail especially as Braida went and saw them in a game... let's hope we already have something wrapped up.

Ideally, Coentrao, Jucilei and Coentrao would join Cassano. Highly unlikely though but would be awesome. We must use our Non-EU spot, and I promise that we will (if we hadn't already used it on some kid we don't know about).

That would be a saving of 10mil a season and 5mil half a season by swapping Dinho and Cassano.
Anyhow, I think 3mil a season for Cassano is a great deal. Hopefully he is committed to do well and win instead partying and being a brat.
I think another exp striker is needed, like Crespo.

Many summer mercatos ago I remember wanting Cassano because he would have been an ideal fit for the team at the time. We had lost Shevchenko and were desperately looking for a creative striker to play with Gilardino and I thought Cassano would be a good fit.

Now things have changed quite drastically. In attack we currently have Ibra, Pato, Dinho, Robinho and Inzaghi, a total of 4 creative forwards. Our good results as of late have come with a change of formation (partly due to Pato's injury) where we play 4 midfielders and 2 forwards. These 4 midfielders (Boateng, Pirlo, Ambrosini & Gattuso/Flamini) work their butts off both in defense and attack to solidify the team. However, our bench for midfield is quite thin as was evident against Roma where Pirlo's injury led to the whole match going downhill.

As a result, I think our priorities for the market should be as follows:

1) A creative midfielder who is hard working and can link up the midfield and the attack. We saw how isolated our forwards were yesterday, and we can't always rely on Ibrahimovic to pull something out of a hat.

2) A promising CB who can take over from Nesta in the coming years. Nesta is my favourite player but even I can admit that I don't think he has too many years left at the top level (amazing game yesterday though).

Those I believe are absolutely urgent. A fullback would be nice because Abate still doesn't fill me with confidence yet but like Gabriel said, if there's one position on the field where you can get away with having an average player, it's at fullback. Our midfield should be providing enough cover so that the fullback isn't overwhelmed anyway.

With regards to the forwards, we should probably replace Pippo with another clinical striker who doesn't mind staying on the bench. Also if Dinho leaves then I think we should use that money to reinforce other parts of the team, e.g. to buy the creative midfielder from #1. 4 strikers (Ibrahimovic, Pato, Robinho and Pippo's replacement) are good enough for our current formation IMO.

My Xmas list for Milan are Cassano, Juceilei, Ganso and D. Luiz. While the give away list are Janku, Oddo, Dinho and Seedorf.

23 years old, versatil, Central midfield, very elegant player, but also to be able to play as left full back/central defender position.
