According to these sources, AC Milan will sign Antonio Cassano, age 28, of Sampdoria until June 2014 for €2.7 Million/year

everyone should be estatic about this deal. cassano fits the cam position imo perfectly and i think he wil play there and boateng wil be put back in the midfield area ..

out: seedorf,janku,oddo,r80,(inzaghi will retire),gattuso(will be hard to see him leave, and hes doing well now.. but age always has its tole
in:ganso, coentrao, luiz, lazzari, promote verdi, take back paloschi or buy matri

---Ibra----Pato(robinho)--
------Cassano(ganso)-----
-lazzari--pirlo----boateng--
-coentrao-luiz--silva--abate-
--------Amelia----------- that's a kick ass line up imo..

Antonio Cassano will wear #99 for AC Milan. The deal will be for 3 1/2 years @ €3Million/year.

This is a good deal for following reasons:
1. Cassano is better (currently) than Ronaldinho, and he is a lot cheaper. We will net €6 Million annually by selling Dinho and signing Cassano.
2. Cassano's market value has to be between €15-20 Million. We are buying him from anywhere between €0 and €2.5 Million. If he doesn't fit, we can sell him for a €15Million profit at minimum.

This is NOT a good deal for following reasons:

1. We have 2 'Second Strikers' in Robinho and Ibrahimovic and Cassano is not what we need when we have issues in other parts of the team.
2. Cassano is a nutso, and has proven this many times

Now, Pirlo is out 4 weeks. Ronaldinho is finished. Seedorf is finished.

We cannot ask Ibrahimovic to be the creator and scorer for the next month or two alone. We NEED an ACM immediately. Ganso supposedly won't be ready as he's been out of action since September I believe. Either Cassano plays as trequartista or we get Honda. Ganso for me is my number 1 choice, but we lack creativity NOW. Everyone saw what happened in the Roma game when Pirlo went off.

Personally an ACM is the number 1 priority for us right now.

Transfer policy in order of priority for ACM

1. ACM/trequartista (Ganso, Honda, Cassano??)
2. FullBack (LB) (Coentrao)
3. Center Back (D. Luiz)
4. CM (to replace Pirlo/Seedorf/Rino/Ambro) (Jucilei, Lazzari, promotion of Strasser and Merkel)
5. Striker: Penalty Box to replace Inzaghi (Matri, Acquafresca, Roque Santa Cruz, Adebayor, Verdi, Adiyiah)
100% agree with this post

Berlusconi: Cassano is the right man
Silvio Berlusconi has confirmed Milan are in the process of signing Antonio Cassano and insists amid divided opinion that he is the right man for the club.

La Gazzetta dello Sport understands Cassano has put pen to paper on a four-year contract after agreeing to pay a third of the €5m sell-on clause to his former club Real Madrid, which forms part of his existing deal with Sampdoria.

Cassano will fly with his new teammates to a training camp in Dubai on December 27 and could make his debut in a friendly a week later.

Initially, Berlusconi seemed unconvinced about the transfer, telling reporters that it's his belief Ronaldinho is a better player.

However, he now appears to have come around to Adriano Galliani's way of thinking.

“We are taking Cassano also because it seems Ronaldinho will leave and we are taking him because he is the right man,” Berlusconi said.

Ronaldinho looks likely to return to Brazil in January either with Gremio or Palmeiras who are both working on his signature.

Cassano will reportedly wear the No 99 shirt at Milan just like at Sampdoria.

It's the same number Ronaldo wore during his short stay in red and black.

positive news for the wage balance, Ronaldinho's wages was so high and however he is doing nothing this season though i was so optimistic after the first game with Lecce. then he faded away.

Cassano is a player i like yet Cassano's nickname is problem for me. so i was so curious about this transfer...

What Milan needs, firstly a solid CB, Then world class FB then K.Honda a player who can replace Seedorf is a must for us, who can track back well, who is strong in team defence, tecniqually and tactically a strong player, who can add many things to the side...

in attack, we needed a J.Cruz or Crespo typee of striker, Verdi or Adiyiah doesnt fit the bill if you ask me.

Regarding flair, our team is formidable, Pato, ibra, Cassano and Robinho.

Juve without Krasic wouldnt be here, Lazio without Hernanes wouldnt be here. Our mercato has been good ,though we didnt sign Hernanes and Krasic, i remember how i wanted Milan to sign Krasic and Hernanes.

naice! he is the perfect replacement for ronaldinho. The best part of this whole thing was reading that Ronaldinho will be leaving and cassano earns a quater\third of what fatdinho makes.

The club is still not attending to its real needs, we need a replacement for Pirlo more than anything. David Pizzaro would be an economic option for that. Hernanes would be ideal, but I don't see lazio selling him for anything less than 25mill.

very good option imo as he can play anywhere in midfield and has excellent passing and could not cost much given he is not a starter for Ranieri....throw in Janku (who they wanted) and maybe Onyewu and i would be very happy

Poli is also not playing much for Samp these days....could be out of favor and they might sell him now...

there's also a lot of talk about Ziegler from Samp as well who in the few times that i've seen him has been pretty decent and hardworking, however if somene can confirm if he is an upgrade on Anto that would be nice

and about Cassano, i think he will do very well as a CAM

If Berlu wanted to make another smart move he should go to Santos to negotiate for a possible Ganso-R80 swap , I'm pretty sure his price tag is still around 15-20mill (r80). Ganso is probably worth around 25-30mill. Give them r80 + 5mill.

Do you all notice how everything just all suddenly starting going well for us? We buy a few players top seria a and now for some reason money doesnt seem to be an issue anymore

New names for Milan's winter mercato K.Constant

Kevin Constant, is 23 years old the Franco-Guinean midfielder is on loan to Chievo from French second division club Chateauroux. the buyout clause is set at 1 million, a figure that Milan would be ready to double
from his characteristics, role and his technical ability's he could be considered as a potential heir of Seedorf

Kevin constant is a good player i remember him playing against us when we played chievo and he caused a few problems.. but common.. if hes a heir to seedorf and our replacement for r80 is cassano that means no ganso if this guy comes so NO i wouldnt support this. ganso over alllll unless of course we get eden hazard, thats a different story altogether this kids too good..

MilanMikey, I appreciate your enthusiasm in all of your posts but sometimes you say some crazy things

How could you say Ronaldinho's value is between €15-20 million? He barely plays, and his contract is up in June..no one would spend that kind of money on ANYONE whose contract is about to be up.

usually it is Braida who goes to Brazil for us and recently he was there and in Argentina but did not come up with anything...2 days ago Galliani went for 'vacation' to Brazil

The press believe the primary reason was to negotiate a sale for Ronaldinho.

My heart though is wishing for a Ganso/Jucilei/Giuilano type of signing too.
