All this talk about Ganso and Jucilei is getting on my nerves! Seriously, how many times have we heard about one player being the next best thing? and how many times have they actually lived up to the billing? These guys might be good but i don't think they're ready for Milan. A decent club like Palermo or Fiorentina, but not Milan. Maybe in 2 or 3 years but not now. Not saying we can't buy them now ( they can always go out on loan), i'm just saying i don't think they're ready to be thrust into the 1st team.

Well we took a shot with Kaka and pato who both were much less proven and turn out to be a great deals

On top of that, T. Silva once flopped in Europe but Milan still paid about 10Mil for him.
Would you rather paid a total of 15 Mil(including wages for over 3 yrs) for someone like Emerson or someone like Ganso or Jucelei?

They may be UN-affordable in 2-3 years.

Secondly, you can't deny we NEED an ACM. Can you name anyone available, affordable, and ready to play for Milan? (I'm not convinced Cassano will be this player)

According to some sources in England Milan are linked with Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany. Apparently we want to use Ronaldinho in a swap deal, but Manchester City are not interested in getting Ronaldinho or getting rid of Kompany.

I remember Kompany used to be regarded as a really talented player when he was younger. Not sure now though, haven't seen him play much.

Anyway, the rumour is just one in a million...

Kompany has been good for Man City since joining them. He's often been used as a DM and has done well, but is now struggling for space this season.

I haven't seen too much of Man City this year but every time i do, Kompany is there and usually (not always) playing a CB and doing pretty well.
After you said that i just had to check his numbers and apparently he has played the most along with Hart, their GK....so much for a struggle

Kompany is in the team every game and always as a central defender. He's their best defender this season by far. ITs even said he will replace tevez as a city captain.

How many times have we seen similar situation played out... as a matter of fact it is not fittingly appropriate or appropiately fitting to say that players are not good enough for Milan... i have seen smaller teams with 11 players who "are not good enough for milan" kick the **** out of milan!!!

There are many different styles. Milan seems to want excellent players on the cheap, or they look for young talent in South America.

Some teams buy players at 15-16 and produce them and raise them (Barca, Arsenal)

Some teams buy any random player for top price (Man City)...

Mourinho is very clear of what he wants. He wants players who fit in his 4-2-3-1 system, and he wants Excellent players who work hard. When looking for a striker to buy, he looks for Drogba, Rooney, etc. He doesn't look at Matri or Santa Cruz. He's very picky and always wants the best. I respect him for that, but his style he can only work at 3-4 clubs ( Man U, Chelsea, Inter, R Madrid).

I like Mourinho's style very much as he makes a team good IMMEDIATELY. However, it's also very expensive. Milan is doing a good job and I'm starting to trust Galliani more. He's giving more comments indicating that Milan needs more replacements for their older players. The fact we're linked with Jucilei, Lazzari, D. Luiz, Coentrao, Kompany, Cassano, Ganso, and Honda shows they want to replace our useless or older players. I hope He can come through

Sorry for the mistake on Kompany, admittedly I've not seen enough of City to know precisely how much he's played, but heard he wasn't always playing (clearly not true).

Filipez, about him playing as a DM, I was referring mostly to last season (I think) where he was often complimented in the role.
