No, see you misunderstand. Berlusconi and Leonardo did not see eye to eye, as Berlusconi himself declared on the day he brought in Robinho. Because of this, Silvio was not willing to spend big money for the club, he did not like the way Milan played. Galliani, in fact, tried to mediate between SB and Leo but it came to nothing. It was BECAUSE he found a new feeling with Allegri that he decided to invest in the club again.

Regarding Ronaldinho, SB was sorry to see him go but had to bow to the evidence that Allegri and his football have got milan champions of winter, which had not happened for a very long time. Because of this, Ronaldinho leaving is less painful for him.

And it is useless to talk about players like Ganso and Jucilei, since they are not EU citizens, and we already have all of our slots for non-EU citizens filled up.

I don't think they "see" eye to eye. I think Allegri is a .. Allegri was trying the same stupid tactics as last year...playing a 4-3-3 with ronaldinho on left, and even Ibra/Inzaghi on the right don't you remember that ridiculous game? Allegri even played Pirlo, Seedorf, Gattuso in midfield, I think against Cesena... He also waits until 90th minute to do subs..

I think Berlusconi tells him what to do, and unlike Leonardo, Allegri's a P***y (figa)...

Sorry to be so blunt, but this is what I think...It is true, however, that Berlusconi is pissed about losing, and can't lie to himself anymore that R80, Gattuso, Pirlo, seedorf, Zambrotta are not good enough anymore to win a scudetto...however, we need more work in the back and midfield,, we can't be so top heavy..we're still without a poaching striker though without Inzaghi.. I'm curious to see how this will all play out.

It is true that in the beginning he was playing the 4-3-3; however ever since he tried out the 4-3-1-2 with the all-muscles midfield we have been winning consistently, and if Berlusconi is telling him how to play, for God's sake let him keep at it! We are winning! Here is the difference, and it is not about being a ***** or a macho, is about being tactically smart as well as diplomatic.

See, you can be as much macho as you want, but if SB does not like it, you ain't going far, since he is the one that makes or breaks the deals Milan makes for other players. Allegri in this regard is very smart, and in fact he is winning and Berlusconi is enthusiastic once again about the team and shows it by making the big signings.

Again, who said we are not working on a midfielder (in fact, I just got a message that tells me Constant is a done deal, Galliani and Damiani (the player's agent) met tonight at dinner at Giannino and are defining the agreement, probably a 50/50 ownership of the player. Poli of Sampdoria is also a possibility as well as Reto Ziegler (given the good relationship between Milan and Garrone, the owner of Sampdoria after the Cassano deal)

Nice to read your information Nando about Torres, Constant, Poli and Ziegler. Waiting forward for next news especially we are now close to winter transfer window.

Any news about David Luiz? And about EU-spot, who filled the spot for this year? As far as I know players we brought this year have EU pass from Robinho, Ibra, Montelengo (spell?) and Boateng.

When a Serie A team is leading by 1 or 2 goals they often start to defend and make several defensive substitutions. Ancelotti was doing that all the time and it's really annoying.

Torres and Pato are together 100% of a player as they are both often injured half the season. We need both!

Nice to see somebody appreciates... As far as David Luiz goes, Braida has been sent to scout him a couple of times, there have been contacts, but nothing too important. What I know for certain is that for the January transfer window a center back is not a priority, since we have Nesta, Silva (who will be ready for the January 6th match vs Cagliari after the operation) Yepes, Bonera and Papa at that position (Onyewu I won't even consider mentioning). Luiz is a possibility in June-August as well as Sahko from PSG as possible replacements/substitutes for the aging Sandro Nesta.

As far as the EU spot I believe it was Yepes, but I would have to check on that.

PS= The arrival of Torres is linked with the Dinho departure. If Dinho goes Torres will be a very concrete possibility, given that Inzaghi is out and Pato has too many probs mentally and phisically. If Dinho stays then Torres will not come. In any case, Galliani is working on it. If he goes to Liverpool before the end of the transfer market consider it a done deal, since Galliani only moves from Milan to close a deal (look at past instances for Ibra, Dinho, etc...).

If by any chance the Torres deal should fall through, we would either try to find a decent player on loan until the end of the season or stay as we are.

And at the end of the season, there is a 40% chance that Balotelli will come and wear the red and black. This may seem as utopia, but look closer: Balo is a Milan fan, he has already said that he would like to play with Ibra and his agent is Mino Raiola, the same agent Ibra has and that has a very good relationship with our club. There is in fact a clause in Balotelli's contract that says that if Mancini should be terminated by City, the club would be obliged to let Raiola and Balo negotiate with other clubs if they so desire without interference.

As far as the Cassano deal goes, the terms of the contract have not been fully disclosed, however my source tells me that it will be a 1 year deal (actually 6 months) with an option for a second and a third, depending on performance and character. That way, should Cassano display behavioral issues, Milan could release him at the end of this season (basically an insurance policy). The player will be paid 1,5 mln a year and Sampdoria, Milan and Cassano himself would divide the 5 millions owed to Real (in case of transfer away from Sampdoria) in 3 equal parts. With Pato probably leaving at the end of the season and Pippo that could call it quits at the end of the season (given the serious injury), you see why Milan are pursuing strikers so aggresively.

somehow I don't rate Torres anymore. To replace Pato with him would not be a good idea in my book.

I don't have any reason to doubt you. You also, apparently, live in Italy, which makes what you say far more credible. After all, we rely on glimpses of Italian media.

I have a friend who knows people at the Milanello, and at one point I had an open invitation to tour the facilities. Who am I to argue if he were to tell me insider information?

However, you can understand Hitmann's reaction because there are a lot of charlatans all over the web. Further, Torres does seem out of left field, even if we were interested in him in the past.

Hope all of this is true.

I'm not saying it's wrong that Allegri is soft, because if Berlusconi is suggesting the formation, he's certainly right. However, I did not see much difference between Allegri in the first month of the season and Leonardo. Furthermore, Leonardo (And I'm not saying he's a great coach), did not have the players Allegri has this year. Therefore, we cannot compare.

Having said that, I'd prefer a coach with alittle more backbone (Mourinho) who chooses his players, his transfers, and his ideology in regards to the team. Yes, there needs to be some input from Management, but I've noticed in Milan, the coach has very little say.

One last thought, Reto Ziegler has a great workrate, and I find it funny that we're linked to him, because I recommended him about 3 weeks ago, check my posts
He's for SURE an upgrade from Antonini, and he can take free kicks too with good accuracy, but does not possess the potential of let's say Coentrao, Cole, Evra, Abidal, etc...

Reto Ziegler (Switzerland)

- 24 Years
- 1.83m
- 79 kg
- Midfielder (winger) converted into Left Back
- 1 Goal on 9 Shots this season

*** I appreciate you too Nando .. non ti preoccupare! if you are a Milanista, siamo amici...Just like other posters say, when someone comes on randomly and says we're linked heavily with Fernando Torres, it's normal to be a bit skeptical.... esp when we're not aware of any situation with Pato. It's very surprising to hear there are issues with Pato, although many of us (I included) are quite nervous about his injuries...

Yepes cannot take the non EU spot as his transfer came within the league. Same applies to Papa and Prince.

Prince was born in Berlin, no question of him being non-EU. As for Papa, Greece is part of EU.

Hasan you said it... It seems way out of left field...That's exactly what Galliani wants in order to negotiate quietly in a calm environment without other clubs pressuring him and therefore making the price for the player go way up. Just think about it. Who would have thought that there was even a remote chance that Ibra would go to Milan as close as 48 hrs prior to the deal? Practically nobody. This allowed Galliani to literally STEAL Ibra on a free loan for one year, with a purchase option for 3 more years at 24 MILLION EUROS!!!! 24 million euros!!!! Do you know how much Barcelona paid for Ibra???? Now imagine that everybody had known about the deal. That of course would have brought in more clubs which would probably have offered way more and Ibra would have never worn our jersey. The best deals are done under the radar. So that everybody thinks Torres is way out in left field IS ACTUALLY A GOOD THING.

I agreed. Constant is the best Chievo player in that match against us. He ran, passed, and crossed, constantly terrorized our backline (pardon the pun), but correct me, is he more of a winger, or CM?

It's great to be a Milan fan nowadays, huh? Several months ago I cannot imagine myself saying "We don't need Torres".
