Winter Mercato 2011

I have to say I see no way Pato will stay in Milan next year... I dont know... Maybe if he recovers and plays without injuries untill thze end etc. Galliani has bought too many forwards... It all looks like Pato will be sold for some good money.

If Galliani finds a good way to use that money, on players like Ganso and Coentrao, I'd be ok but also sad as Pato is one of the players I adores as soon as I saw how he plays his football.

Right now we have unbelievable duo up front: Pato-Ibra, where Pato can finnally find his space as a classic no.9, like Romario played. Robinho cannot do that, also Cassano.

News say we are in for Montolivo... we'll that would be something. If Cassano is to replace Pippo and Montolivo to replace Dinho we have a team that can win scudetto without a doubt, unless we destroy unrselves.

Montolivo is near the end of his conreact, so is MExes... there are 4eports Mexes could join us... we all know he has been Galliani's favorite since ever. For sure, as a 3rd CB, he is a very good option! Later on he will still be a 3rd Cb as Luiz will arrive and NEsta retire

But pleeease.... find just ONE fullback that can play decent football on the left... for now.

Those are all smart moves: Cassano for nothing, Mexes neard the end of contract, Montolivo... good work by Galliani.

I'm all for Ganso, but not at expense of Pato, and Montolivo is not a R80 replacement. Frankly I don't rate that player, not Contreao. Too weak with the ball and defending.

Mexes is scum, a liability, more than Bonera. He can stay in roma or go to buve. Not the player for Milan.

Reports of the day are about Galliani negotiating with Genoa to give them Paloschi in January and keep on a definitive basis Boateng. If we could also take the 50% of Rannochia to them, that would be awesome !!

I watched the guy several times, and he is a lot better than Bonucci who is already a very good prospect for the Italian NT ... Nesta himself told that Rannochia was the player who seemed the most able to be the next great Italian defender.

By taking these 50% to Genoa, we would then have to make a bid to Inter (or Inter to us), and like the guy is worth a lot of money, I think we should give a try for him !! We have nothing to lose: on one hand, we get a new very promising player and Inter doesn't, on another hand, we get money from Inter. It's a perfect deal IMO, win-win situation for us, no matter what happens.

And I also rate Rannochia more highly than David Luiz who could be among the best defenders in the world once he will join a big club ... David Luiz has maybe a little more experience right now, but Rannochia is simply the perfect defender (don't ask him to take the ball and go in attack, the guy simply takes the ball and gives it to a midfielder, no risk): excellent on tackles, a wall in one-on-one, classy, qualities Nesta has had.

Galliani, come on, get Rannochia !! Our defence would be amazing (and what could be better for both Rannochia and Milan to have this player, who plays like the young Nesta, learning along Nesta himself ?!) ...

Not trying to not believe in you but do you watch Rannochia regularly GeoTav? Well, if there is a quality italian CB Milan should chase him even with higher price (as long as not so much higher than same quality of non-italian defender).

Regularly isn't the right word as I'm not a fan of Genoa and as a consequence, I don't watch all their games ... But I watched several games of Genoa this first half of season and he was always excellent, and I also watched him when he was along Bonnuci in Bari and that was a great partnership.

About the news, I read that Inter try to buy the half of that defender's contract by giving Genoa certain sum of money (10 mil?) plus player.

Is there any news linking us with that defender (what I understand the news is only about Paloschi but you hope that we also go for that defender)?

Not bursting your bubble but it is very tough to get 50% of Rannochia. Personally, I would rather have David Luiz though. Probably bc I seen Luiz played more over the past two years. only saw some Bari games last season and Rannochia and Bonnucci played off each other really well, only saw him at Genoa once and he was okay.

Ranocchia should have been bought last year while he was playing for Bari. He showed very good performances with Bonucci and look how bad that team is now without them...

About Dzeko, I also read that Real Madrid was ready to pay for him, but the player would want 6M a year (right now, it seems he earn 4.5M a year) which would have frozen Real Madrid and other clubs like Juventus. By being too greedy, the guy could waste his career by staying for too long in Wolfsburg.

Yes I agree. I said this a few days ago, but because all of this Fernando Torres conversation, I guess it was not discussed.

In other words, Dzeko could have let his contract expire and could have left in June 2010. Instead, he re-signed with Wolfsburg in Aug of 2009 and is now tied to them until 2013. Now, because he costs so much and wants such a large salary, he seems to be stuck there. What a weird situation. As I said, he could have left for free to ANY club he wanted, then he could have probably gotten his €6 Million/year because there would be no transfer fee. Very confusing, and he probably deserves whatever he gets....

Damn, let's forget Ranocchia as TMW reports he left the Genoa camp today and will join Inter when they'll start their winter preparation ...

Lucio, Chivu (as it is reported Leo wants to use him as a CB), Ranocchia, Cordoba: that's a good central defence for Inter if that really happens.

If I were Berlu, I would add a CB too just to show them we will compete on all fronts !!

EDIT: Modesto and Palladino didn't join their partners of Genoa, it seems they will go in Parma, and from Parma, Antonelli and Paloschi will join Genoa.

Let me get this clear, Milan is using the 50% of Paloschi to buy Boateng?
