He played in junior team of other italian club before coming to Milan, right? Should be non-EU.

Siregar is right about Hottor. We signed him from Triestina, so it doesn't matter that he doesn't have a EU passport.

Robinho should have EU-pass if he applied for it. I just found out that people from latin america country need to be a resident in Spain for at least 2 years to get a Spanish passport and Robinho had lived in Spain for about 3 years.

As far as I know Ganso has Italian passport (replying Elmago99's assumption).

My assumption was that if we get Lamela then we won't be getting another ACM. We will then potentially have 3 (ganso, lamela, cassano). So, I look at Lamela as a direct replacement to Ronaldinho and Seedorf who currently occupy that position. Then we'll have 5 strikers (Ibra, Pato, cassano, Robinho, Inzaghi). We'll see how this all fits into place by August I think.

who's Lamela? i didnt see him before? is he good? Barcelona linked with him 2 years ago and however it just give a positive note about him. Thats all.

it seems he is a trequartista like Ganso, so we cant say no Ganso anymore. no Pastore

A guy from Brescia (manager ? coach ? other ?) said on TMW that Caracciolo wants only one thing for his career: playing in Milan. He said that if Milan was to make a bid for him, they should consider it as it's his dream to be in Milan.

So actually, by saying that, Brescia makes Caracciolo being available for us ... and if we are really going to buy another striker (in some reports, it was claimed that Cassano was just the direct replacement for Ronaldinho and we could get another striker to replace Inzaghi like it was expected), I'd choose Caracciolo without any problem.

Caracciolo could help beating down these wall of defenses in Serie A. While he lacks class, you know he will put efforts until his last breathe to help the team. A good workman type player in Serie A has a spot on our bench as a sub IMO.

For those of you who don't know Andrea Caracciolo, he's 29 years old, 1.94m, 80kg, and this year has 5 goals and 1 assist in 15 appearances for Brescia. Brescia are in 18th place, but he's their bright spot.

He's never scored more than 11 goals, scoring 11 goals 2 seasons in a row for Palermo. He also scored 10 goals for Brescia in 2006. He's bounced around from Brescia, to Palermo, Sampdoria, Perugia, and now back at Brescia. He didn't play in Serie A last year. He's a big guy, and not a bad 4th striker (penalty box) that can come in when others are injured or for Coppa Italia.

He is 3 years older than Alessandro Matri. I can't see Caracciolo being more than €3 Million or so, and although Geo said Brescia would be willing to sell, that would for sure mean relegation for them. Personally, I'd like to see this:

Forwards: Ibrahimovic, Pato, Robinho, Inzaghi (Matri)

ACM: Ganso, Cassano

Cassano sub for Ganso
Robinho sub for Ibra
Matri/Inzaghi sub for Pato

*** However, as Hitman has pointed out, at some point we have to give our Primavera players a chance (Adiyiah, Verdi)

Many people here talk about Cassano as a ACM but i don't know if I'm ok with that personally. Cassano in that position will pose the same problems to us that Ronaldinho did. Which is no pressure. He will be great when we are in possession but won't be too much of a help when we don't. We will lose our balance again. This is the exact same reason why Allegri wouldn't play Ronaldinho. And the Cassano until this date, (although may have more work-rate then Dinho) isn't much better then Dinho when it comes to chasing the ball and helping out the other 3 midfielders. Now if Cassano changes this in his game, it might be a different conversation but I'm not so sure that he will.

Having said this, it's obvious that Allegri knows this by saying that Cassano is a forward (but adding that things change in football and being very political). Which it leads me to believe that something will go down in Milan this summer because I'm not so sure that Ibra,Pato,Cassano,Robinho can all co-exist fighting for 2 spots. They will all think of themselves as starters. And this isn't "Football Manger" where you can just rotate them and be ok. They need games under their belts as forwards. They will need to play together to learn the movements and get used to each other. So rotation will not be an option here. So then who is the 4th striker there. (keeping in mind that I personally think of Cassano as a forward and given that we'll stick to the 4-3-1-2)

Just my 2 cents on the whole thing. And if Ronaldinho leaves we will probably get someone else to replace him.

Actually, by not using Cassano as a CAM but by letting him play like he usually does, we could play with Cassano, Ibra and Pato together ...

I explain, on paper, we would use 3 strikers and it would be a bad idea.

But on the pitch, Cassano tends to move a bit like Ibrahimovic because he likes to touch the ball, so Ibra and Cassano would mainly stay behind Pato, which would be a kind of new Christmas Tree (more attacking one), with Ibra and Cassano moving well off the ball and being a kind of first pressing wall. By doing that, Pato wouldn't have to always track back (even if I'd prefer if he does it).

Just a thought I had ...

I think there is no urgent need for a trequartista, because if the 4 man midfield is packed with defensive players, Ibrahimovic & the other striker can do the creative part easily. In short, ACM already has hard working strikers so no need for a trequartista rite now.

Ibrahimovic Cassano
Flamini Pirlo Boateng
Ambrosini/Gattuso

Its should be good enough to beat any one in the Italian way

Also let the management learn some harsh lessons by missing out on a player like R.VdV this summer

I think VDV did not want to come to Milan due to wanting to start.

VDV is the sort of player that likes to be the big fish in a little pond, he likes to be the best player in the team, he wouldnt be able to cope with being an average player in our Midfield when played with Pirlo
