just read that he gained 7 kgs since joining Milan 3 yrs ago. that's 7 kgs of muscles of course & given that he has been getting taller still, i think that explains most of his injuries...so hopefully his body will soon stabilize & he will no longer suffer all these injuries and fulfill his potential

so far this season, Pato has played 247 minutes for Brazil scoring 5 goals, and 240 minutes for Milan scoring 2.... for Brazil he plays as a CF and looks pretty amazing over there. I wish we can try him out in a 4-3-1-2. I cannot wait to see that formation with Ibra beside him.

actually he didn't score 5 goals because he has total of 4 gola for NT as of 11 october 2010 but I know what you are trying to say and I totally agree with you...

He looks much better on CF position but he can't play it because of 4-3-3 which is forced by Allegri (read: Berlusconi) due to Ronaldinho's inability to play any other position rather than left SS ( I just love PES shortcuts for player's positions don't you )

Or a new Kaka' ...
Kaka' was really slim when he arrived, and they turned him into a muscular football player, and then the injuries started, he lost his pace, etc.

I think we could see it more often, as Allegri will adapt the formation according to opponent. Also Allegri can't ignore that Pato's scoring in pretty much every Brazil game as the leading forward of late.

There's also hope for Pato not becoming like Ronaldo and Kaka as those two suffered ligament injuries. Whilst his improved fitness does make Pato more injury prone, he can avoid both Kaka's and Ronaldo's problems by maintaining a healthy lifestyle and not overworking the body. What is key is milanlab have improved monitoring players as I think they made a mess during Kaka's problems.

Yep, there's a thin line between success and faliure when the subject is puting muscle on players. Thats not a easy job... I hope we do it right with Pato.

But I was really impressed(and Brazilian press) with his muscular frame...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Regarding the CF postion, we always talk about it here. Pato is playing CF since youth Internacional teams, and imo Ibra is much better receiving the ball out of the box. If I'm not wrong, it was Geo talked first here about Ibra/Adriano pair, and how the first was the one comming out of the box to set the plays...

I hope Allegri is seeing Pato playing for Brazil. That maybe also would cut down the ammount of work Pato need to do playing at the right, and make him less injure prone...

A Goal.com Story: Balottelli/Pato/Ancellotti Connection

Just read that Milan are hungry for Balottelli, who's interested in coming back to Italy, to AC Milan specifically to play alongside Ibra again. The story goes that with Man. City getting Dzeko and Balottelli being unhappy there, that Milan would offer Pato...if that didn't work, Milan would approach Ancellotti at Chelsea who'd be interested to buy Pato for say 30 M which Milan would then use to further pursue Balottelli at City.

Wild.

In the market nowadays, Pato's worth between 60 and 70 Million €. Not 30. And even still, I'm on the side of those that want to keep Pato, and then sell him at 25 or 26 when he's World Player of the Year.. for €100 Million, or simply keep him forever!!!

I read that "report" too. Sounds like that we are desparate to get rid of Pato.

If you read my post carefully, you could see that the answer was "no". And many members here do love your little brother and want to keep this wonderkid.

What does that exactly mean? Some might say that keeping Pato in San Siro and investing in him as a player who will write his own chapter in rossonero history tends to be risky business. With all his abnormal minor injuries. Still, if that's the case, i think it's a risk worth taken cause his class is undeniable.

I just want to see him healthy for a full season. He would work miracles.
